I'm not sure where to post this but since this is where I hang out most of the time, I'll give it a shot. Are there any Disney Store's in kansas City or Des MOines? Our local one closed about a year ago and since I'll be in those areas soon, I thought I'd check. Also, for those of you that have gone to Disney on Ice - what did you wear? Yes, I know ice is cold, but I was just curious how bundled up my kids need to be. Thanks

go to disneydirect.com and click on "Store Locator" (at the very bottom of the page, right side). You will get a pop-up window and it will allow you to enter an address, then the closest disney store locations will be listed.

There is also a Disney Store at Independence Center. It is about 20 minutes from downtown Kansas City.

I was at the Disney store a few days ago at Oakpark Mall in Overland Park (although not technically Kansas City---more of a suburb but very easy to find as it's close to one of the major highways that run in KC).

I thought it was a nice store and everything I bought was on sale (they had a nice section of clearance items). I hear that the mall is very crowded on the weekends and we had a very hard time finding a parking spot. A few stores down from Disney in the mall is a Build-a-bear workshop.
