Last week it seemed that airfare was much cheaper than this week. We confirmed our ressies for all stars at the end of last week, and now that we are ready to book airfare it seems that airfare has skyrocketed!! Last week the best Philly/mco rate was $118, same flight is now $170 and has been all week! We're traveling the last week of Sept. - does anyone think we'll see better rates before then or did I lose the race? The rates are cheaper in NYC, but it's well over 2 hours away. Allentown is very close to my house but it never seems to offer any real good deals. Any experts with any ideas? This will be our first flight.

its called inventory. check all surrounding airports. ABE connecting in a hub city might get yu a cheaper rate as well. ther are still more fares coming out for sep travel. you will have to keep a daily watch on it. if not then try expedia bargain fares. this might help you out. also go to www.bargainfares.com and try them.

I am in a similar fix. I put everything off while trying to figure out "do i want to go or don't I want to go?" And now good cheap flights are sold out. Try sidestep.com and travelocity.com to see what is the lowest rates you can get through a few airlines. As far as a drive to a further airport, we do it all the time. I don't mind a 2 hour drive to BDL even though I am 20 minutes to MHT. Well, good luck. I wouldn't wait much longer, seeing as how your hotel is already booked. I'll cross my fingers for you.

Thanks guys!! I'm about to check out your sites. The rates I have are through Travelocity farewatcher. Hopefully as Beverly Lynn said rates are still comming out for the fall - maybe a sale will show up too!

Wow, US air from Philly sure went up a lot from last week!! I check our flights every couple of days, just to see if it's gone down, and it is almost $200 now (we have $140-ish)!
I hope they come back down so you can snag a good rate :)
