Me and a friend are off to London for a couple of day's in two and a half weeks.

So where are all the good shops?? We are staying in Covent Garden so hopefully central to everything?? Where can we go for a drinky or two in the evening ???

Any tips for us girlies???

Any tips for us girlies??? I'll be there too, with DD! Staying in Piccadilly (Park Lane), and shopping, etc. We are also on a fact-finding mission (colleges), so there must be some toiling done amidst the FUN!! Drinkies are OUT, as DD is only 17 (and not a consumer of alcohol). ;)

I've heard Regent street has lots of GREAT SHOPS...as well as some others. I LOVE this board, and have learned SO much from everyone. You are all so informative and generous with your time. Without all of you...I'd be LOST!! :grouphug:

oxford street and regent street (you go up regent street and this leads you to oxford street)are great places to shop::yes::the christmas lights are great in regent street, and you have to go and give harrods in knightsbridge a look:D can't help with where to go for a drink though i'm tee total so this has never bothered me:D

Have you ever been to Henry's Cocktail Bar (http://www.henrysbarandcafe.com/store_locations/covent_garden_london_bar.htm)?

It's my absolute favourite place in the world for cocktails - they make them in front of you, chucking the bottles in the air and so on. Check out the menu for a full list! There is one in Covent Garden in Henrietta Steert.

Jon & I were gutted when we went to Birmingham a few months ago to start our evening in Henry's with one or two ;) cocktails and it had closed :(

We also like the one in Covent Garden :)

Especially Harrod's, as I've been receiving their catalog for eons. ;) We have lots of fun things planned, and are looking forward to enjoying all of London, and the outlying areas. ::yes::

I'm posting LIVE from DISNEYLAND!! Time to get going back to the parks and PLAY in the HAPPIEST PLACE on EARTH!! I especially love the eves, with the snowfall on Main Street USA. The HM looks amazing, with all the decorations from the Nightmare before Christmas!
