We have a group of 9-- 5 adults, 4 kids.
I just booked a "luxury van" from the FL Tours.
Has anyone used this company or type of van before? My father has very high standards--I want to make sure this will truly be a luxury van and not some Chevy with bench seats!
Also, is this company reliable???? We don't pay until we get there, I'm always more comfortable paying in advance and getting confirmation. We did get a confirmation number but I'm still nervous!
Anyone use this company or type of car before? Thanks!!!!

We used Tiffany's 15 seater this March and I'm satisfied with what we got. I'm not sure what you mean by not wanting bench seats. I sat up with the driver and we had what I'd call Captain's Seats. The rest of my group of 9 sat three across in what I'd call bench seats, but comfortabe seating with a seatbelt for each. I can't imagine anything other than 3 across seating for those sitting behind the driver. I'd use this again for a large group and my wife and I are taking a Tiffany TC this Jan.

I suggest trying ***********. I've used them my past few trips and was very impressed with Gregory. I've also used Tiffany. The last time I used them I was left with a rather "sour" taste in my mouth. The driver just kept feeding us this line of "BS" the entire trip. Honestly, he needed to turn his "ego off." We found out upon returning that he had given us "exaggerated and inaccurate" information knowingly. This info. did not pertain to their service but to Disney, etc. Anyways, it turned us off completely.

We have been using FL Tours for some time now and the service has always been excellent. Andy (the owner) is an incredible guy who believes his customers satisfaction comes first.
FL. Tours is also the official transportation company of the DIS and by using them you are helping keep these boards available to all the members.

We used FL Tours Luxury Van service last year. I had no complaints about the service but it is just a regular large van with bench seats. It did have a DVD player and videos. The drivers, both directions, were great! They are roomy and did hold quite a bit of luggage. If you are expecting "stretch limo" kind of Luxury in the interior - this is not a good choice for you.

The van we had did not have bench seats (FL Tours).
had captains chairs (each person had an individual chair). It was one of the vans with the extra room on the roof... DVD player (playing Brother Bear).
Definitely nicer than your standard van.

How many passengers could you fit into this van?

"My father has very high standards"
I'm not trying to be rude but what exactly does that mean?

It means that when he travels, he likes everything to be first class, of the highest quality. He only wants the best in food, lodging, etc--and this includes transportation.
Therefore, I wanted to know exactly what a "luxury van" was--if it was simply a 15 passenger van it wouldn't be adequate, I would reserve a limousine instead. But from what I hear, it is a van with carpeting, captains chairs, DVD player, etc.
And mom_rules, we have a party of 9--the luxury vans seat up to 10, I believe.
Hope that helps clarify!

If it that important to your father I would take the time and call the company directly just to be sure your getting what you want.
We used a van from another TC service a few years ago and the service was excellent but it was a pretty standard van. Bench seats but very clean and pleasant to ride in.
I wonder if your using a 10 person van for 9 people if you will have enough room for luggage.
In your situation I would put the keywords Luxury Van information in the post title for responses from those who have used one and or call FL Tours for additional information.
Have fun

The luxury van we had last Easter was definitely clean and the driver was great. It had a DVD player in it. When I reserved it they said it could hold 14 passengers with very little luggage-we were 5 adults with alot of luggage and it suited us just fine. But, if I recall correctly it was a standard extended van - nothing special but adequate for our needs.
In October we had a stretch limo for 4 adults this time but still lots of luggage. There was definitely alot of luxurious passenger room but our luggage barely fit. They had to put some of the carryons with us and two of the larger suitcases in the front seat with the driver.
I agree, I would call and get a good answer from the company regardless of the vehicle you want, esp. if your dad is picky.

I have used Fl Tours 3 times, and will use Andy for the 4th time in June. We have taken a town car (very nice), a Limo (VERY NICE), and a van (regular nice van very clean, and plenty of room for our party of 8 and all the luggage). If I were you I would email Andy directly he will get back to you and let you know exactly what you need to know to make your deceision.
