I just returned from my local AAA office. I bought the new 15 month US/IOA power pass for $105. It will work out well for me. There are no redeem by dates, they are dated from the first activation, so I will be able to use them next Jan, in March 05 and then use them again Jan 06! Maybe even sneek a trip down in March 06 before they expire!

Is this an on-going deal? I am not an AAA member, but have thought several times about joining. If there are always these types of deals through them, I may go ahead do it. Do you know what kind of deals you can get for the on-site hotels?

If I recall correctly, they had a similar deal last year, but the voucher had to be activated by a certain date, so I never took advantageof it. The discounts for on-site hotels are not great, but it was the only discount I could get for my dates, so I used AAA for that too. But I booked thru Loews, not AAA.

Sometimes only certain regional AAA offices offer certain tickets. I would appreciate if I knew which region you were referring to . I am in the chicago motor club area. You could pm me if you don't want to announce your region. Thank you.

I know they are available in the AAA south clubs. Not sure about the rest. It's an incredible deal.

Any AAA member can buy them at a AAA South Club. So if you know anyone that can pick them up for you, you can use that ticket. Or, you can just pick them up at the Orlando office before you go to the theme park, they may even be available online. Check the web site.

You can go to aaasouth.com for info on this pass. Be warned, however, that there are blackout dates for this pass. Mainly Christmas week, spring break 2 weeks, and several dates throughout the summer. Also, it says nothing about parking, so I would assume that free parking is not included (as it is with the annual pass).

You are correct, parking is not included. And there are the blackout dates that you mentioned.

But it still works for me as I will be staying At RPR, for some of the visits and the $ difference between a full annual pass vs the power pass price (with an extra 3 months) works out better for me. And I never go during the busy blackout dates. Everyone should crunch the numbers to see which is a better deal for them as the regular annual 2 park pass also has discounts for food and shop purchases, in addition to the free parking.
