We were in WDW in June but the kids have 3 days off the week of Thanksgiving and were thinking of heading back - My question is we always fly ATA out of Midway Airport in Chgo - Does anyone know if they have special fares for Holiday weeks?? Like right now ATA has $59.00 each way to Orlando - The current rate for Thansgiving Week is like $140 each way-
Any help would be appreciated!!
Thank you!!

Yes, I realize that the specials are only out through 9/30/01
I was hoping someone with experience in traveling at this time of year can tell me if specials are even offered from this time frame or is Thanksgiving Week usually a blackout period.
Thank you

We are currently booked out of Midway 11/17 returning 11/28 $209.50 RT all incl.
I booked this several weeks ago on-line. I'm still watching for any specials to come out and hopefully get a voucher if there is a cheaper on-line fare.

What kind of voucher does ATA issue?? I always look for the best rates from ATA the only way to fly - I was unaware of any vouchers for cheaper airfare.
Thanks for your help!!

Does ATA even do vouchers. I think I tried that once, a long time ago and they told me no. Maybe it has changed.

Just called ATA as my $209 airfare went down to $129 for my Sept. trip. I was told you can
get the difference, but they still charge you the $75 dollar change fee. I am not sure how correct that is, but it took me half a day to get that info!

I'm not sure if ATA does this or not, my earlier post was based on hearing some airlines do this......

That was the reponse I got from them a few years back when I inquired. They basically said they would refund the difference, less the change fee which would have ended up costing me more in my situation. Maybe ATA doesn't do vouchers because they are usually selling tickets below what the majors sell them for?

I have never booked ata, out of midway (chicago) when ata has NOT changed the time or flight number! As soon as they do, you have an open end to move dates, times, or I would guess also prices! They are constantly altering there times from some reason! They have already changed my tix for sept twice. mky;)

ATA is in the process of getting a new fleet of aircraft. That may be part of the reason for the September changes... Our flight was changed as well because they added new aircraft in the September Schedule. They have already scheduled the 757-300 on the September runs from MCO to MDW. It will be interesting to fly on a brand new aircraft. ATA will be phasing out their 727s over the next year or so. The L1011s won't be far behind.
