11/28 75 minutes
11/30 60 minutes


Anyone have a motivational clippee??

245 minutes- Week 1

No replies? :confused: I thought a lot of people were looking for an exercise challenge again. :confused:

Well, I'm in for 1,000. ;) It'll be hard, as I'm just getting back into exercising after a bad October, but so far I've got:

11/1 - 42
11/2 - 46
11/4 - 45

Total 133/1000

I only had 320 in the whole month of October. :(

Even if this doesn't become a 'certified' Challenge thread, it can surely be a personal exercise Challenge thread, where we just keep track ourselves, which we do anyway, and post HERE on our progress. Thanks for starting the thread jlawall! :sunny:

I'm in too so you two aren't alone. :) My goal is still the 800 - DM visited for two weeks which = more food + not much exercise so I'm committed to get back!

I seem to be at a screeching halt for some unknown reason this week. I will still keep my challenge at 1200 minutes for the month.
So far I only have accomplished 40/1200.

Tomorrow I run a 5k and will at least have a couple more minutes to add.

Not a stupid question, Jen. Yes, they are minutes of exercise, for the day, and then our goal total. So, in my case, I've exercised 133 minutes of my 1,000 minute goal for the month of November.

Update for 11/5 & 11/6: Nothing! :o

I checked for the Challenge earlier and didn't see it. Thought I needed to just do my own. Am so glad I found it again!!
Only Hit 850 min. in Oct. Shooting for 1000 again in Nov.

As of 11/30, 505/1000. I pushed myself out there this morning to get over the halfway mark!

Congrats to all who made their goal and to those who tried! I love this 1000 minutes motivator. I'm glad others are still doing it as well. On to a December challenge!

I'm another WISHer that has been keeping track of my numbers for November on my own. I'm so glad I found this thread! It's good to have a "home" to come to everyday and report my progress.

I am at 227/1000 as of today (Sunday, Nov. 7). I was close to making goal last month at 820 minutes and I'm determined to make it for November even though we'll be on vacation at DVCHH the week of Thanksgiving.

WTG for everyone that has posted so far. We can make our exercise goal minutes for the month of November! Woohoo!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I'm still here, too! Well, OK, I've been in South Beach for the past few days, but we're home now! I exercised while we were away & kept track of that, but as to staying on plan with food, well, let's just say I have some off plan eating to make up for! I tried to stay on plan, didn't stray as far as I would have in the past, only up about 1 lb as of this AM, but it's time to get back on track!

My Nov goal will be 2000 min. Here's what I have so far:

11/1 - 90 min - bowling
11/2 - rest day - needed it after my push at the end of Oct to reach that goal!
11/3 - 90 min - swimming & walking
11/4 - 30 min - swimming
11/5 - 90 min - swimming & walking
11/6 - 90 min - swimming & walking
11/7 - 60 min - walking


That gives me a total of 450/2000 min so far for Nov.

I'm glad there are other Nov exercise challengers out there. This really helps to keep me going!

Wow these numbers sound huge! I could run for 30 min everyday this month and only get to 900 min! Am I doing something wrong here?

I'm keeping track of my minutes also and I'm going with a 2200 minute goal for the month.

Nov 1st - 60 min
Nov 2nd - 110 min
Nov 3rd - 105 min
Nov 4th - 117 min
Nov 5th - 130 min
Nov 6th - 30 min
Nov 7th - 0 :rolleyes:

After a few days off, just toooooo hectic, I did 60 mintues today. Total 193/1000.

I'm in for 1000 minutes. :) I only got 550 last month. :( I wanna make that 1000 minutes. :)


I only did 20 minutes so far this month. It was saturday at my MIL and a quick 20 minute walk to try to change the scenery for dd who was getting cranky.

It's great to see so many on this thread. You are all doing an awesome job!!!!

On Monday I did Firm BSS3 Fat Blasting Cardio in the morning and Firm BSS3 Total Muscle Shaping in the evening

On Tuesday morning I did Firm BSS3 Hips, Thighs and Abs

for a total of 337/1000 on 11/9/04!

This month I cut my goal down some from last month, & I'm going for quality workouts rather than just time. Last month it seemed like I would go like crazy for a day or so, then end up crashing & either not be able to exercise for a few days, or exericise at a slower pace. That didn't seem to work too well for me, so this month my goal is lower & I'm trying to exercise on a more consistent basis & with greater intensity. I couldn't believe that I actually JOGGED some tonight! Not only that, but it felt pretty good!

I managed 50 minutes today. A 3 mile tape. I am pretty sore from yesterday's 60 min, toning/firming/strength tape tho. I'm walking around like a tired, stiff, old lady! :eek: No pain, no gain (well, loss actually). ;)

So, I'm at 243/1000.

How's everyone else doing? :sunny:

Monday super body sculpt,Wednesday Complete body Sculpting, Thursday adv. cardio blast and express cardio. Friday body sculpt, Sat. hips things and abs, and Sunday Total muscle shaping.

I didn't work out at all yesterday, I think my muscles were too tired after the double work out on Monday. This morning I did Firm BSS3 Fat Blasting Cardio and my total is now 372/1000 as of 11/11/04!

Pixiedust23, I like your goal! I was using distance goals before we started the Aug challenge by time, it's a good way to set a goal if you're running or walking.

Here's my update for the last couple of days:

As of 11/9 I was at 550/2000

11/10 - 45 min - walking
11/11 - 150 min - walking, & doing the twist with Chubby Checker at EPCOT!
11/12 - 135 min - bowling & bicycle riding

I am now at 880/2000 min for Nov! :sunny:

I feel better about this month with a lower goal & exercising consistently than I did last month with a higher goal & going full steam one day then crashing for a day or 2 because I was too tired to exercise! Now all I have to do is to really getback on plan with food - I'm not too far off, but I'm not where I should be either. All my exercise won't do me any good if I go back to my old eating habits. Phew, I think I really needed to say that here to make it stick in my mind!

Hang in there, everybody & keep on exercising!

Ran 5.5 today to bring my total to 32.5/90 miles.

Perfectmatch- Using a distance marker is better for me b/c otherwise I know i'll slack off and just walk to get my minutes in. This way I really have to run to get to my goal!

This morning I did Firm Super Cardio Sculpt and felt a little bit of extra energy (okay so tomorrow is weigh in day too) and I did Firm BSS1 ab sculpt for a total of 65 minutes which brings my stats to 480/1000 as of 11/13/04.

Glad to see everyone exercising into the holiday season.

With our vacation to WDW and the death of a close family member, I barely made the 1000 minutes last month but I am trying it again. I know I should be at least half way by not but I am not.

This is where I am now:

320/1000.

I guess I had better get moving now.

I will check in again in a week.

After waking with a 100 temp, I took some Motrin and headed to work where, as the day progressed, I felt 110% better! It was great. So I came home and EXERCISED for 48 minutes!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc I was coughing a bit during that time, but it was worth it!

I'll never see 1000 minutes this month, but it's good to be back counting minutes again!!!

Kim, be careful you don't over-do it with the exercise while you're sick! Your body needs the chance to recover! Take dare of yourself. Hope you & your DD are feeling better soon!

I haven't updated for a while. Here's what I have been doing since I last updated:

11/13 - 0 min - rest day
11/14 - 40 min - bicycle
11/15 - 30 min - walking
11/16 - 40 min - bicycle
11/17 - 115 min - bicycle & walking
11/18 - 180 min - walking
11/19 - 90 min - bowling

That puts me at 1375/2000 min for Nov! I'm over halfway there!

So during the course of this week, I've booked a DCL cruise, found the DISBoards, learned what WISH is and committed to 20 lbs, and now have found this thread. Obviously too late to start a November Challenge, but I can't wait for December!!!

I am the most lazy, unmotivated person when it comes to exercise, and have absolutely NO willpower. I have eaten really well since I posted my 'intentions' yesterday, however its easier on the weekend.

My challenge for December will probably make you all laugh... I'll be shooting for 750 minutes... which is about 700 more than I have been getting - but that's a huge step for me!!!

11/22 - 60 min - swimming

That puts me at 1475/2000 min so far for Nov. I have 525 min to go. I should have no problem with that in the next 8 days. I already know I'll be doing a lot of walking tomorrow as we will be going to Silver Springs with friends who are really fast walkers! :sunny:

I've been on vacation for a week and worked out everyday. I don't have the exact figures in front of me but I did a Firm work out for at least 30 minutes each day while I was way except the two travel days. I'll give it a stab for accuracy:

Sunday - no work out
Monday - 45 minutes
Tuesday - 46 minutes
Wednesday - 30 minutes
Thursday - 35 minutes
Friday - 30 minutes
Saturday - no work out
Sunday - BSS3 Complete Body Sculpt
Monday - Firm Super Cardio Sculpt
For a total of 273 minutes which brings my total to 998 minutes. Woohoo it looks like I'm gonna make it this month!

11/23 - 150 min - walking
11/24 - 0 min - resting
11/25 - 0 min - Happy Thanksgiving!
11/26 - 240 min - walking
11/27 - 200 min - walking
11/28 - 150 min - walking
11/29 - 35 min - bicycle

That brings me to a total of 2150/2000 min with one more day to go! Tomorrow I'll be in MK, MGM & Epcot so I'll be getting a lot of walking in to finish off the month!

I made 1/2 way! I made 1/2 way! :cool1: Who thought I could be happy over that, huh? :rolleyes: Well, I did 42 minutes today, taking me to 538/1000! That'll end it for me this month, as DD has a re-check at the Dr. tomorrow for walking pnuemonia during my normal exercise time.

Is there a December Challenge?? :confused:

Well I got in 120 minutes today, so I need 95 minutes tomorrow to get to my goal, which typically on Tuesdays, I only get in 90 :faint: I'mgoing to try and get to the gym early and get that extra 5 minutes in :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Perfect match- I was walking up the stairs on Thanksgiving morning to get my older brothers breakfast order. Next thing ya know my ankle gave out, rolled, and i was landing on my foot. The worst part is the whole no driving thing. I am now working out of the house this week, and I get excited over getting to go to the gas station with someone! 4-6 weeks til it heals, 6-8 weeks til i can get back in the gym!

I finished the month strong with 210 min of walking on 11/30!

That puts me at a total for Nov of 2360/2000. :cool1:
