Hi all,
After reading all the invaluable advice on getting best rates on Universal Properties I ordered myself an Entertainment book. (Had loads of problems getting it delivered to the UK but that's another story!!)
My question is I'm visiting Florida in August next year in a party of 8. We will need two rooms at Universal, two adults and two children in each. Will the entertainment rate cover both rooms or do you need a separate entertainment card for each room?
Thanks.
Steve

You will definatly need 2 rooms at Universal...as far as the Entertainment Card..not sure if you need 2 of them. I think you do, but I could be wrong.

Technically, you need an Entertainment Card for each room. They don't always ask to see the Entertainment Card, but I don't know if I'd want to take the chance.

This may sound silly, but what if you had a family of 6+ and needed the two rooms & had the Entertainment card. If you only had 2 adults & say 5 kids, wonder how they would work it for you with one card????? I also should mention, which I didn't think of it before, if you have just ordered the new Entertainment Card Book I am sure you are paying full price for the book, in the summer months the book ususally goes on sale for like $10-15. If they go on sale say in June or early July (they should by then), you can pick up another one at the cheap price & that would give you the extra card....would be worth the money. Is there anyone that you know in the states where you can have it delivered to & then they can send you just the card portion of it???? Just some thoughts.....

I just booked two rooms with the entertainment rate.. one room is for my nephew.. age 27, and he wanted his own room. I asked if we both needed the card, and they said yes.. a card for each room booked. So we are going to be sure my nephew has purchased the book, so he has a card to show.

Hope this helps.

All,
Thanks for the info, informative as always - particularly the bit about half price books later in the year!!

In the past they made it clear when I reserved the 2 rooms that I would need two cards upon check in. They did ask for them when I checked in. I'd wait to get another book until I was sure that the rates will be available for your times.

Cheryle! You just said you booked the ent. rate? where and for when? I got all excited and called again for the univesal hotel. Thought I was lucky because there was a long wait on the phone, well no luck. No ent. for Feb 4 and 5.

Sorry if I misled you.. to me it was "just".. but it was actually last month..! and it was for the first week of December. !! I have been planning and planning for this vacation, seems like every day I do something else for it, so I guess I shouldn't have said "just booked" !

Hopefully something will come up for you.. I think I was just lucky. Thanks to these boards though, I would have never even known to ask for the entertainment rate. ! Keep trying.!

It's okay! I guess I am a little jumpy. I am trying to get good airline deals, hotel deals, and it makes me crazy!
