How's eveyone's summer reading going, if you have any at all? I'm on my 4th book and only have to read 4! Are the books you have to read really bad or just REALLY long? I'm now reading this long book about Pre-Revolutionary China (yes, it does sound fun, doesn't it? lol), and have read this really easy book, Speak and also Girl, Interrupted and The Catcher in the Rye. Only two of those are required though- we have to choose another two off of a list and read those also. I kinda don't like reading, but I had to go to this intro. to high school today at school so now I'm totally set on getting my reading done! Do you have to do reports on the books you're reading? I only have to do a presentation on one- yay!! So I was just wondering what you guys had to do.... Talk to ya later~:D :bounce:
P.S. Do you have summer MATH homework? OMG!! I had that last year but luckily don't have it this year (they're trying to cut down so it's good for me! :D )

Nope...but I have my own list
The Great Gasby
The Giver
To Kill A Mockingbird
Animal Farm
~Brad~
Banzai, I read all 4 of those books...And I loved them lol!
Yea, I have summer reading... I have to read Angela's Ashes and right now I'm like a quarter of the way done, haha, but it's actually very good...I plan on renting the movie as well. I also have to read The Jungle, an article in a magazine for my chem class, and a chapter in a book for my pre-cal class. The only bad thing is I have to have all of this reading done before I go to WDW next month...So I gotta get going!

Yes I have to read 1 book but that's 1 too many! I hate reading but I have to do it. The English teacher I had last year is a junior and senior english teacher, and she said that for her senior class she's going to give them a test on it as soon as they got back from the break. And of course I just got my schedule and she's my teacher so I have to read it!
As for math, this is the first year I've ever gotten math homework. I'm taking AP (which is kinda like honors) Calculus and the teacher gave us 5 pages front and back of a calculus test. She's only grading the last 2 pages, but we still have to do the rest, and it's a lot of questions!

Yeah, we have summer reading. We're supposed to get lists, but my English teacher forgot to give them to us, and nobody reminded her hehehe. So the other 7th grade team has to read this summer, but we've got excuses! Only thing is that we did get this one project where we have to read any book of choice and keep a journal on it. I haven't started it, and I *lost* the paper. None of my friends are doing it anyways LoL and their older siblings say they don't kill you or anything soooo maybe I will, maybe I won't... only if I get really bored I guess I'll do it.
Tha books I read this summer for fun....
The Giver
Making Waves
Deenie
BSC Gradutaion (took to Cali.)
One Fat Summer
n i wanna read "Have A Nice Life," but apparently my mom opened to a page and then didn't let me have it back!!!! And I've heard that it's really good. grrrr parents these days....

I have to read Grapes of Wrath and Ethan Frome. I've already read Grapes of Wrath but I bought 1984 at the same time I did Ethan Frome so I've been reading it instead. I have to make notes on the books for essays on the first day of school.

only bought a separate peace and havent read either of them!! LOL
I love to kill a mocking bird!! its my favorite book!!! :)
we only have 2 to read but i doubt anyone will do it...they most of the time dont take a grade on it or anything but this year might be different.
I have to read TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, which I've already read a few times, umm.. That's for English, then the CLAN OF THE CAVE BEAR ( ) for social studies. so far it's boring but ssssllllllooooowwwwwlllllyyy getting better (hehehe :) ). and I have to read a chapter from VISIONS by Michio I-forget-what-his-last-name-is. I have to do lots of work for math too. But for pleasure reading, I read a book about Penguins, HOLES, THE SUBLTE KNIFE by Philip Pullman, all four books in the IMMORTALS series by Tamora Pierce, and now I'm re- reading the SONG OF THE LIONESS series also by Tamora Pierce; I'm almost down with the third out of 4 books. I'm waiting to do my school stuff until August. I am such a procrastinator :o hehe :)

This year I got off easy, no summer reading! Last year I had to read Angela's Ashes and three other books of my choosing though. Angela's Ashes is a really good book, anybody who has to read it, count yourself lucky. The only summer work I had for school this year was French worksheets for French Honor Society
