Rates during the week of Christmas

Hi all!

A friend and I are bringing our kids to WDW and Univ/IoA during the week between Christmas and NY. Knowing that it's REALLY busy that week, we were going to just stay at WDW and buy Express Plus Passes for everyone our 2 days at Univ. But, we figured that staying one night at RPR and getting FOTL for free would be just as cheap and easier (we have a lot of kids!). We booked it for $239/night on Dec. 28th/29th. That seems really high! Does that seem high to y'all?? I searched Expedia, AAA, Travelocity, etc. but couldn't find anything cheaper. I am not a member of entertainment. Do you think they have a cheaper rate??

That does seem high, but that is Holiday Season which is worse than peak season.

That's the only rate they seem to be offering. No APH, FAN, or even AAA rates. We actually booked the AAA rate for 12/26-29 but now it's unavailable on the website.

If you don't mind my asking, what rate did you get through AAA? I am a member and I wonder if I'll get a better rate if I call... It never hurts to ask! (especially when money is involved! Haha!!)
