View Full Version : Recommitting myself (Again)....

Here I go again. I'm crawling back. Will you all take me back? I feel like such a failure. I've been exercising very regularly since June but my diet. Oh man. I know exactly what my downfall is and has been. I have less than a month to go now until my wedding and I guess it's all just hitting me really hard right now. My weight is the highest that it's ever been. Even with the exercise. 193. I just can't seem to do this on my own. Can I come back to you all?

Aww we all have been there. Of course I don't think anyone will mind you coming back. :)

Eating is hard for me too. I always want the junk.

Welcome Back Desiree! :wave2: It's always great to have a WISHer back! ::yes:: We have all been where you are - I have been there several times myself! The important thing is that you are still trying and it sounds like you have made a great improvement in your health by being so committed to exercise. Add healthy eating to that and you will see those scales going down before you know it! :hyper:

Yeah! You're back...you never really left, ya know...whenever I cheated on bad eating I always thought of my WISH family and how I wish I had stayed with them through some tough times. Somehow WISH stays with us! :)

First, even though you're an LSU fan....I think I can help! :) (Auburn Tigers rule in my abode! :)) Second, WOW!!! You're getting MARRIED!!! YAHOOOOO:hyper: :hyper: This is a time to CELEBRATE- not spend so much time worrying about your weight...but we do want to get you healthy so you can have an energetic honeymoon! :)

Third, I'm probably in the same boat as you...I had gotten down to 178 and stress came along and shut me down for about 8 months...but I'm back in and I just completed day 7 of induction...I'm not a big Atkins fan but it does help my body to do induction for 2 weeks so I change habits... Cutting out the sugars (was routinely making homemade chocolate chip cookies and eating the dough...eating 3 pieces of pizza instead of 1 and a salad....drinking sodas with sugar....having fries about once a week....all bad things that don't help us stay healthy) after this next week I hope to add some whole wheats and berries into my diet and stick to that way of eating until I'm in the 160's...I even had my hubby weigh me and record the weight because I didn't want to see how much I had gained back...the induction helps because you do lose about 10 pounds in those two weeks or more....and even if it's water it does help me stay disciplined.

Feel free to post to the thread that has alot of backsliders (tiggerlover started it) and join in there...lots of us have fallen and we need each other to get back up! :) You can do it!

Welcome back, Des. No crawling allowed, though. Stand up straight and be proud of yourself. You have taken control and I'm sure proud of you for doing that.

You're back on the road to goal and all of your WISH friends plan to help you along.

I've been away from WISH, too. I stayed on plan but life circumstances got in the way of WISHing. I hate when that happens ;)

Let's make a pact to visit WISH more often, okay? Meet me here tomorrow, I'll be watching for you.

I kind of know how you feel. My nephew's wedding is this Saturday and I had all of these grand plans of how I would look. It can get you kind of down.

But hey! It's like Tara said. THIS IS YOUR WEDDING! It is YOUR special day, you will be beautiful! You ARE beautiful. We can get soooooooo into the weight thing, we miss what really matters.

What plan are you currently following?? I am doing portion control but I was doing low carb. If you want some weight off quick, I would do induction. Just know that after the wedding, if you add back the carbs, the weight will come back. I wouldn't normally suggest this kind of thing, but with a big day coming up, it might be worth a try.

Thanks everyone! I guess I was just feeling a little blue. Maybe pre-wedding nerves!

Thanks again everyone. It's good to be back among friends.

Hi Desiree,

I'm trying to get back on track too. It's so easy to fall off, but coming to WISH is the key. Glad your posting again. Just take it one day at a time and keep up the fabulous work.
