Fav. counter service in AK??

We leave Friday and I just realized I don't have a plan for a place to eat lunch at Animal Kingdom!
What do you all suggest for counter service?

There are only counterservicerestaurants at AK (except for the Rainforest Cafe), so you cannot go wrong there:D
My favorite one is Tusker House in Africa, it's themed African ofcourse and they have nice food, like grilled salmon and chicken.
It tasts really good!
Have fun at AK! It is my favorite Disneypark.

we're in Africa first thing for the safari
by the time lunch comes around we're not in that "land" anymore

Our family loves Tusker House! The atmosphere is so great, there are often roaming African muscians, and the food is great for counter service. They even have healthy options here. I know a lot of DISer's love Flame Tree, but we have had inconsistent food there.

Sorry, another on for Tusker House. Love that place. We don't go to Flame tree as I don't like BBQ. LIke the choices at Tusker House.,

We love Pizzafari! I always get the hot deli sandwich and DH and DD like the pizza. It's nice and cool inside with lots of seating.

I'm in love with Chakrandi Chicken shop!! It's more of a stand but there's a nice seating area to the side of it. Their chicken stirfry is really good and a good value. My grandmother loved the potstickers.

You know, I'm not sure. I wouldn't think it would be too bad, since it's rice, veggies, and chicken, but I have no idea what's in that sauce.

We love the rotis. chicken & carrot cake at Tusker House. Had the Italian deli sandwich at Pizzafari & that was very good, too.

I've been to Tusker House, Flametree BBQ, Chakrandi (the place in Asia), but my favorite is still Pizzafari's hot deli sandwich.

Flame Tree BBQ if the weather is nice. Love their seating by the river! Great food too.

Tusker House if the weather is bad or iffy. Great food there also.

The Tusker House...the portions were so large that mom and I split the 1/2 Rotisserie Chicken. It came with garlic mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, and carrots. Plus we did the meal deal so we could get a drink later and either popcorn or ice cream bar (we got the ice cream).

We've tried them all and like Tusker House the best. The Animal Kingdom meal plus certificates mentioned previously are a good deal! (varies with what you order, of course). They're $11.99 for adults and $5.99 for children 3 - 11.

Definetley Tusker House. There are very few counter service places that offer roasted chicken and green beans. I look forward to this as an inexpensive meals WITHOUT french fries.

We had one of the best counter service meals we've ever had in any park at Tusker House. Rotisserie chicken platter is excellent, and you don't feel like you're eating unhealthy fast food.

We liked Pizzafari...the kids meal deal (if they get the pizza) is great there as you basically get the drink, bottled drink and treat for free. My kids have no interest in PB & J sandwiches or the other kids' offerings at Tusker House or Flame Tree. I had the Italian deli sandwich and really liked it. Oh, and we also enjoyed the bright murals on the walls at Pizzafari. I would really like to try Tusker House and Flame Tree sometime though...

We love the Hot Deli Sandwich at Pizzafari, we always eat there. We are going to try Tusker House this year too. We have never tried any of the other Fast food restaurants.
