::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

My family and I are wanting to relax and kill some time at one of the nice restaurants at Magic Kingdom. We have already eaten at Chef Mickey's and had a great time. We are wanting to try another restaurant. We like character meals. We are wanting a dinner meal. Any recommendations?

We love Liberty Tree Tavern. Last time we were there, the characters were Minnie, Meeko,Chip and Dale. It's all you can eat served family style. We're going back for my dd's birthday dinner in Dec.

I've never eaten at the Crystal Palace, but when we were there this past weekend I was curious to take a peak since everyone on this board always raves about it. I thought they were going to kick us out for looking around, but on the contrary, the CM offered us a tour!! The buffet looked delicious. There was a great variety of food (check out allearsnet.com for the menu) and the restaurant itself was spacious and so pretty. Pooh and the gang were mingling with guests too. We're definitely going to give it a try on our next trip!

CRT at dinner is not a character meal but it is great. You do not feel hurried and the food is wonderful. Plus the atmosphere in the castle make you know you are at Disney. Depending on the time you are having dinner, it is magical to watch the sun go down from a window table. I hope you enjoy whichever restaurant you chose. Let us know which one you decide upon and how you enjoyed it when you get back.

Libery Tree, without a doubt the best Character dinner in MK (ok, in my opinion!!)

The food is outstanding and the characters are wonderful. The Waitstaff were extremely accomodating to our daughter who is a very picky eater. I informed our server that we would pay the $5.00 entertainment fee for our daughter because she would not be eating. We explained that we had packed her something to eat. The server asked our daughter if she would eat bread and she said yes...she then went down the list of every item they served and my daughter proceeded to say no to every item...even the cookies. The server went out of her way to get each of the characters to try to get her to eat something...it became a game for the characters to try to "catch" Sydney eating something. She kept her pb sand on her lap because Chip (or Dale) kept trying to steal it!! It kept her busy so we could actually eat without her getting bored!!

Sorry for the long story but this is why the Liberty Tree is my favorite MK restaurant.

Another CP fan.

DD loves Eeyore and any attenstion she gets from him. The kids will love the Pooh parade.

Food is Buffett, but very good. IMHO, better than LTT.

If you want to stay in MK, we love Crystal Palace.

If you don't mind hopping out of MK for a bit, we'd go to 1900 Park Fare.

I'd strongly recommend either the Crystal Palace or Cindy's. Both are great places to dine.

Can anyone else tell me about the "entertainment" fee.

Our son is extremely picky, so we've always paid the full fare, even though we have to bring his food.

I never knew there was an option. Is this the kind of thing I need to note when I make a PS, or can I just ask at the restaurant? Do all restaurants that charge per person allow it?
