How is ESPN for a light dinner? We will be eating lunch in Epcot and only want a light meal on the boardwalk. Thank you.:earsgirl:

We enjoyed a nice light dinner there in August. It was nice since we ate a little earlier than most and we missed the rowdy crowd!

We always get the chicken wings bucket to go, don't like the noise there!!! The wings are great though..... Beth

Weve been there quite a few times and really enjoy it. We are a family of sports fans so Im sure that helps. But atmosphere aside, we find the food to be very good. LOVE the nachos! Weve also had boneless buffalo wings(Zingers or Dingers...something like that???), burgers, pork sandwich, roast beef sandwich, and the kids have had hot dogs, grilled cheese & mac & cheese. Every thing has always been very good, and they do make a great mixed drink( usually hard to find in WDW).
ESPN is a must do for us, and we have even done it twice on 1 trip.

let me put it this way, on our 5 night trip last week, we ate in the ESPN Club 4 times and did takeout once!!
Of course it wouldn't have been so many times if it weren't for the never-ending Yankees/Sox game (let's not go there), but we would have still eaten there 2-3 times. It is the only place I can say I've eaten at on every one of my trips, but again, we're sports nuts and love the atmosphere. The food is great too! :)

The food is good for a "quick lunch"....They have a great shrimp ceaser salad and the desserts are good. I am a big time sports fan (Go Eagles!!!) and love the place, but have heard both sports fans and non-sports fans complain that it is too loud in the dining area. All in all I think it is worth a visit if you are in the area.

ESPN has good bar food. It is nothing to write home about but their wings/burgers/chicken tenders are pretty good, but honestly it is pretty hard to screw up this type of food.

I've only been there for lunch. I thought the portions were huge and the food decent to good. I especially like the nachos -- great for sharing with a group.

Regarding the noise -- I don't mind it. You know it will be noisy when you plan on going there. It doesn't bother me.

Also, we're vegetarian and they're accomodating and DVC members get a discount there.

We also enjoy the atmosphere at the ESPN club, and the food is about what one would expect from a sports bar. We have found the service to be brusque and impersonal, however. Maybe it's just because we normally sit at the bar, where it always seems to be crowded, and the bar tenders are just rushed. I've also noticed that some of the other guests there aren't as friendly as elsewhere on property--won't make room for you when you're trying to put in a drink order at the bar, for example, or act irritated if you're trying to find a place to sit. Sometimes I've felt that there were a number of local "regulars" there who didn't particularly feel friendly toward the "tourists."

If you're contemplating between the Big River and ESPN Club, it does matter what you want. I would say the food is equivelent but a different kind. Big River has sandwiches and "restaurant foods" with a more quiet atmosphere. There seems to always be something "sportsy" going on at the ESPN Club. Good buffalo wings, nachos, burgers.....We go to the ESPN Club to watch the football game on Sundays. They'll let you sit the whole time to watch, so we just take our time with a nice long meal.
