We went over to WL/VWL to check out the tree damage there and noticed a pooper scooper bag dispenser at the end of the southern wing of the main lodge.
Did they do this because FW guests were being put up in the resorts while FW was closed ?

I heard that during Hurricane Jeanne pets were allowed at the resorts. Maybe it had something to do with that.

I had seen the pooper scooper stand back in May and wondered the same thing.

In all our travels over the years to WDW I have never seen a dog at a resort unless it was a seeing eye dog. I know there are kennels you can take your pet to, but since that would never be a priority with us, we've not checked it out. Don't believe we'll be seeing a rash of dogs at resorts/parks anytime soon. Imagine the sanitation, allergy, and customer service issues!
I would hate to see pets allowed IMO.

They did allow animals during the hurricanes. Saw several dogs at Pop Century during Frances. There is a pet loop at Fort Wilderness where pets can stay with owners.
