I'm looking for a nice place to have dinner with BF, kind of as a very late birthday dinner. He's pretty adventurous when it comes to food.
Can you please share your experiences with either restaurant? And if you've been to both, if you prefer one over the other?
The only criteria for us is that it not be really dressy (we don't want to take extra clothes just for one dinner) -- somewhere we can wear slacks and a polo shirt/simple blouse...

Definitely Tchoup Chop. The food is great, it is a very romantic setting, and I feel much more adventurous dining than at Palm. You can dress the way you like too!

I agree. Go to Tchoup Chop. Make reservations pretty far in advance. I made mine on line.

Yes, good idea gschmerl. You can go to opentable.com and make a reservation for either one of Emeril's restaurants.

I'd recommend:
The mai tai's
Kahlua pork.
The mai tai's
The Ribs
The combo platter
The mai tai's
The pineapple upside down cake
And a mai tai might be good
