Good afternoon all. I am trying to get ready for holiday/Christmas as the industry I am in gets really crazy at Christmas. I try to give a small gift bag to my staff but need to keep the cost low. My company gives a gift and in February we generally get a bonus so it isn't the amount (and as it is not expensed and comes our of my pocket cost is an issue) I just want them to kow that I care and was thinking about them during this very crazy time of year.

One year it was baskets, poinsettas and candles. Last year it was a gift bag with Snow pens, pins, and a bag of micro popcorn with a $5 Blockbuster gift card. This year I am up to 30 employees and as I am on a budget need to keep cost down. I have 30 small (six inch0 wall calenders and found great gift bags and holiday candles. Any other suggestions on what might be a good option on a budger. I would like to keep the rest at under $100 total.

Thanks for any suggestions anyone has.

Have you tried looking for items at Oriental Trading Company?

Food always goes over well. Check out www.allrecipes.com for many cookie mix in a jar recipes and you could add a xmas themed cookie cutter tied to the jar. Very inexpensive if you make the gifts yourself - I have seen them at craft fairs and fundraisers for over $10/each.

Is there a bakery that could make you personalized gingerbread cookies then put them in a decorated bag? You could then included a note to thank them for their hard work and dedication throughout the year.

Better yet....make your own Holiday personalized cookies. Last year for my co-workers I made Hot Cocoa mix (put in a canning jar with holiday fabric over the lid or Walmart sells cute lidded glass mugs for $1.00 usually). There's a cute little poem (with directions) that I tied onto each jar but I don't remember what it was.

I used to give my employees a small holiday decoration/ornament that they could display in their workspace. Small snowmen, wreaths, snowflakes, etc...

Wal-Mart has good selection of inexpensive items, many for 97 cents. Sams and Coscto both have packages of small stuffed items, ornaments etc... very inexpensively as well.
