I am getting very confused about renting a car at the Orlando airport. I have called Dollar car rental about 6 times, and 3 out of 6 say I need a shuttle to get to the cars, and the other 3 calls say the car is there and you just walk to them!
My reservation with Dollar is about $30 less than National, but am willing to pay the difference to National if I can just walk out of the terminal and just get into the car.
Can someone please tell me.... are the Dollar rental cars at the airport or do I need a shuttle to get to them.
Many thanks....

Dollar definately has their cars at the airport, I have rented with them many times and have a current reservation with them for next week. Out of National, Budget and Dollar, that I have used at MCO, Dollar has had the newest cars. Twice I have had a brand new convertible with less than 1000 miles on it when I picked it up. I am hoping to upgrade to a Pacifica on this trip coming up. You probably got someone at a central reservation number that has no idea of the logistics at MCO.

1. THANK YOU!!!! I should have realized that those who have experienced it would have a better answer than those who try to sell it! Makes sense to me!
2. I own a Pacifica.... you'll LOVE it!
Many thanks....

We'll be leaving in less than 3 weeks and we're renting from Dollar.
Is it a good idea to call them a day or 2 before we leave? If so, what is the # to the Dollar desk at MCO?
Thanks.

You don't need to call, just bring your printout of your confirmation.
If you need to call the desk at MCO, the number should be listed on the Dollar website.
