Circle Journaling?

I've seen a lot of circle journaling at 2peas. I was just curious to know how do you bind the books. Do they sell special books? Are pages supposed to be added? How is it done???

i did a circle journal on 2 peas..

some girls just used a small regular album - like the CM 7X7,
I personally bought a cheap spiral bound at Mike's took out the spiral and used fiber to la e up the pages for a kewler look!

It would be just as easy to make your own book and use fiber/ribbon.

Some of the cj's got REALLY bulky and the fibers wouldn't hold it together well - so make sure it is a strong fiber!

you have enough pages in the book per person in the group (example ours has a two page spread for each person (there were 12 of us if I recall correctly) so I made mine with 28 pages... I did an intro page explaining what my cj was about, then I had two pages for sign in where I made a pocket for tags and everyone filled a tag out with name, address, email, etc...

I LOVED doing the cj cuz it helped me with my all about me album - I would duplicate layouts

I would love to do another one - but some of the people on 2peas were flakers and it made it a nightmare - for 2 months I never thought I was going to see my cj again!

So I guess since you start the journal it's yours to keep when it's done right? There are so many beautiful ones at 2peas!

but I have no idea what a circle journal is!! But I'm intrigued... can someone fill me in? I hate to think I'm missing something!

a group signs up

then you make a mailing 'circle' with the group or a list of who mails to who each time - then you mail out a journal with a 'theme' it can be serious or silly to the person you are suppose to and you recieve one from the person before you on the list -
you have an alloted amount of time (2 weeks is what we did) to mail that journal and you should recieve your nest one!

It is a great way to see others scrapping style, techniques, and to learn more about others and other parts of the country (one girl in our group lived in CA near the forest fires and one of her layouts pertained to that - while another's dh was in Iraq)
