Charging With Room Keys

This is our first trip to Universal. We have been to Disney twice, and really enjoyed being able to use our room keys to purchase everything throughout Disney. I liked that my DD did not have to carry cash. Does anyone know if you can do the same thing at Universal with your room keys? Thanks.

Yes, we charged practically everything to our room keys when we were there in March -- except for the carts in the park if we wanted a drink or snack. I don't know if they accept your room key or not. You may get more responses if you post this on the Universal Studios Resorts Forum instead.

i used the room key for everything. if the cart has a register (and not just someone with a money belt) then they took the key. we bought hot dogs, and icees; everytime using the card without any problems. i felt a little silly sometimes when it was around $7 but i liked not having to carry alot of cash around.
