well, got the slides on ebay and the silver tape at home depot. for those who might want the silver foil tape and have a home depot.... it's in the plumbing section. (no idea why). maggie

Did you get glass microscope slides? Some sb company was making an acrylic or plastic version for use in scrapbooks.

I think that Martha Stewart Living online sells the copper tape because a couple of years ago she offered 2 crafts that used it (a votive candle holder & coasters)

I got glass, although I'm still waiting for them to arrive in the mail! I can't wait to get them! maggie

I got my slides this past weekend and went to Home Depot to find the tape. Couldn't find it though I scoured every aisle with special attention in the plumbing section. Don't know what's up with that...

BUT I did find silver tape (4.29) and copper tape (7.29) at Michaels in the stained class section.

ok... I ordered some slides also! They haven't come yet
but - I was wondering, are they easy to size down? I want to make some square ones also. Has anyone tried to cut them ? I think I have some tile nippers in the garage somewhere....

I also found my copper tape at the LCS they also had gold & brass colors in the stained glass dept. I bought copper wire to match & will use that to make the loop at the top.

I liked the idea of making mini ornaments that someone mentioned earlier on the board. Fun with family photos too!
