I booked a carriage ride on Dec. 26th, as a surprise for my DH. Will we be allowed to take champagne and chocolates in the carriage? Thanks for the info. :)

if its your anniversary or something be sure to tell the managment/people at the desk.
We are very regular patrons, and on special occasions we've received gifts.

I think you can take champange. Get the mini bottles, but do have it opened away from the horse. The 'pop' might startle them.. I think your best bet would be to call the assistant manager at FT. W and they probably will have the stuff ready for you.

I'll see if I can find it in my book, and I'll post it here within the next few days.

Are these rides only offered during certain months?

The carriage ride is offered all year. The sleigh ride at WL is only for the holidays. I decided to do the carriage ride, because they ride you around FW. I would rather ride a carriage decorated for the holidays, and see all the sites decorated, than ride a sleigh in the dark and see nothing. JMO

Does anyone know the cost of the carriage rides? Also, how long does the ride last? Sounds like a lot of fun!
Thanks!

The carriage ride is $30, which must be paid in cash. Tip is extra. The ride is 30 to 45 minutes. Of course, this is all just what I was told, when I booked the reservation. I'll know for sure on Dec. 30th. :cheer2:

We did the carriage ride at POR for my birthday, with a large bottle of champagne. Not much would bother our horse Ike. I even wonder if he might have been the mount for the Headless Horseman at MNSSHP. We had a lovely time on the carriage ride. Too bad we left the camera at home on the kitchen table!

How many people can fit in the carriage??? We're thinking of maybe doing this during our stay. There are 6 of us. 2 adults and 4 children.
