Hi everyone!
I would like to take the kids "Christmas" picture when we go at the end of this month. I'd like for us to be in the picture. I remember hearing about the ability to rent a photographer. Anyone know about this or actually use this? Also, I remember hearing about a "studio" on Main St. Again, any ideas?
Thanks!

Unless you have something specific in mind, why don't you just buy the photos they take when you enter the parks...you know, the nice but still annoying people who stop you as you are rushing to get somewhere.

That is a good idea Joe...
kewlteacher, you can take that one photo you purchase and scan it on a computer scanner and you can save it to a disk. From that disk, you can make your own prints for a fraction of what it would cost to hire a professional to print them up for you.
I do that all the time. Such a money saver! CVS or Walgreens can make prints form a disk if you don't have the right printer.

Yeah, but I think if you rent a photographer you can get pics on rides and stuff...that would be neat!!!

Well, I did say unless you had a specific idea in mind. :)
Either hiring a photographer (you rent a camera, you hire people! :) ) or just buying a 'park' photo you run into the risk of being stopped by photo lab people due to copyright issues. Unless otherwise specified, photographs, even if you pay for them, are copyright to the photographer. Since this isn't a commercial use, it will probably fall under the fair use act but professional photographers/lawyers can answer that better...just be aware that any photo that looks professional (either quality or through more obvious means like a Disney trademark) might cause you to be questioned at any photo lab with a sense of morals (or a fear of lawsuits). Not saying it would happen, but it could.
BTW, Disney does offer professional photographic services. Never used them, no clue as to the particulars. Just know about them through my DVC discount.
Good Luck,
Joe
