I've been up that way before when I was a kid! Anyone else from Mass? I should have included RI in the list, dern it.

We could see how many people are from each area, then triangulate the most convenient meeting place nearest to all.

I think a Long Island meet would be great. I am in Suffolk county.

But even Queens and Brooklyn may want to do a Long Island meet because it isn't too far. For that matter CT just has to take the ferry over.

Haven't posted much lately. Went on the DVC Member cruise last month and spent a few days at WDW both before and after the cruise. We had an awesome time! Don't have another trip planned until May 2007 and that seems too far away! Hope you have a safe and happy holiday!

We have a DISmeet at Canobie Lake Park (CLP) in August each year! Most of the folks that join us are from Mass, with some from RI. It's so much fun & a great get together!

Funny, we reversed roles. I grew up in Bensonhurst and now I am on the island. Actually been out here for 30 years now, left Brooklyn right out of H.S.

There is nothing like it. Shopping on the Avenue and walking everywhere. I get in a car to go 2-3 blocks, I would have NEVER done that in Brooklyn (besides I wouldn't want to lose the parking spot) LOL

I'll be going to Disney with a group of school kids as an "un-official chaperone" so I am free to do my own thing. We'll be staying at the ASM from 8-28 through 9-3. If any of you would like to plan a DIS-meet let me know.

It actually paid for itself in a short four years since we usually stay in 2-BR villas and it is great to invite friends to join us! We "pay" for the villa and everyone is one their own for park passes. We tried grocery shopping on our own twice and it was a waste of time. We now use Garden Grocer and Brian has always been great. :thumbsup2

We are a family of 5, so we will have to get a 2-bedroom villa. Not that I am complaining. Our last trip we stayed in a Jr. Suite and although it was suitable, a little more space would have been nice. :confused3

We should have bought DVC rather than go on our last trip, but we weren't too sure about DVC at that time. After spending all of the trip planning time reading about DVC and going on the tour while there, I was about 2 minutes from buying while there. Common sense got the better of me and we are saving as much as we can. I can't wait to say "I'm going home!" :yay: :dance3: :cloud9:

I do not remember seeing one Tux and the only night the men wore suit jackets was the night we went to Palo. People dressed nice for dinner but more like resort nice, still casual by regular cruise standards.
So worth every penny!
