I went out yesterday to give my grass it's one last mowing for the season and my tractor wouldn't start. I had it in the shop this spring with starter problems. Sounds like the same thing again. I guess I'll have to use the walk behind mower. I had to use it while my tractor was in the shop before. At least it's not growing much now. I couldn't keep up with it in the spring. by the time I got the last bit cut I had to start over again.

Very cool that you have a tractor, Chessie! :) I'd love a ride-on lawnmower, but our yard isn't big enough to need one. :)

I need to get the grass cut, it's quite long right now, but it will probably have to wait until the weekend. I don't think this will be it's last cutting, though. :)

Our grass grew like crazy this year too, thanks to all the rain we had earlier on, but the last 6 weeks or so have been very, very dry.

Yes, the weather here is sunny all year around, so it doesn't affect our grass. Lately it has been raining alot, so our grass needs to be mowed every week.

DH mowed a couple of weeks ago. Yesterday we discovered he mowed a golf ball......sliced it.....and drive it into the new siding.

Sigh. Another repair.

I think it's hilarious that it took us about 2 weeks to notice it, though.........

Still cutting the grass here too(I live in the same city as Snowwark)With all of the rain we have had lately and because we have two female dogs(we water the grass down where they do their business so the grass doesnt die)our background is still pretty green and long.So the lawnmower will probably come out a few more times still.

No, Kim. DS hits golf balls when he thinks no one is looking.

DH mows them and turns them into projectiles.

DW laughs.

Yikes, Gina! Does he yell "four" when he hits one? ;)

I think my back lawn could still do with one last mow but my front lawn is very slow growing because of the two big trees I have. I've twice hauled off leaves to the city's garden recycling depot but I think I'll just mulch the rest of them with the lawn mower.
