View Full Version : Ladies please..... I'm sure it's WAY TMI!!!

I know this is probably way more than anyone wanted to read EVER, but I thought if anyone had any ideas, someone here would....
I have lost 58 lbs, and have maintained my goal weight for several weeks now..... I love how I feel and look and the clothes I get to buy now. I have to tell you, I am having fun!! (Well, other than the cost of a whole new wardrobe, and the frustration of having not built a solid choice of clothing up yet). Except for......
....... since I lost this weight, I have some extra skin hanging out all over...... I'm working on some of it (primarily my stomach), but my real concern is with my breasts...... I don't think they'll ever be the same. :o :o :o Is there anything a person can do to "roll up the sock" :teeth: after losing weight?? I don't like that old lady saggy look - no offense.
I promise this is the last time I post a thread with the name of body parts in it. :p  :p

the one thing I have heard is plastic surgery - you need to work out while you are losing weight - I haven't heard of anything after losing weight that will work....
your breast are mostly fat in the first place - there are muscles behind the breast that can be worked -
go to an gym that employees a trained fitness expert - if you can't find one - visit your local college.
be prepared for pain - the first time you use a muscle it will hurt - but just kept at it.
you need to be using weights. -
I am sorry - I know this is not the solution you wanted
I agree with Pat about the weights. Your local gym should have machines that work those muscles around your breast and free weights are great too. I'm sure someone at the gym would help you get started. I hear that area is the hardest for women to tone, but it can be done.

I agree with Teresa & Pat - weights to tone up your pectoral muscles and the surrounding areas will help.
Another thing to consider is that your skin has been stretched for a while with that extra weight. In time it will tighten up somewhat. A good moisturizing, firming cream might help the process.
Best wishes! :sunny:

This are can be a bit of a challenge for friming up, like the others said, the muscles behind the breasts are what you can work. The breasts themselves, are really stuck the way they are. Anyhow, you don't really need gym machines to do this. I've been doing FIRM workouts, and all you really need are some dumbbells for some good chest exercises, and doing pushups are a also a great way to help firm up. My Firm arm workout uses both and i've dropped several inches off my chest and its also great for strengthening the back.
If you don't wanna buy a workout tape, then pick up a fitness magazine that has some good chest exercises in it. You don't need heavy weights. I started with 2lb dumbbells and am now working with 5lb weights.
Its cheaper than having a tuck to get rid of extra skin which will come back anyway, if you don't work the area. Dunno how well those firming creams work, but they can't hurt. Good luck

I hope this doesn't mean you're moving into the retirement home with Debster! <a href='*******************************************ZSzeb008_ZSxdm31547US' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/7/7_1_102v.gif' alt='Knitting' border=0></a>
