Have any of you had problems at the National exit booth when you reserved using several unrelated codes?

For example, using a product code from National, a coupon code from somebody else, and a contract code from a third company.

If the National website lets me reserve this way, and I have the confirmation printout, do they have to honor the rate?

Thanks!:wave2:

I've used "unrelated" contract IDs with the entertainment coupon and not had a problem. Haven't used all three yet - mainly because it didn't result in a lower price.

I don't know if they have to honor an internet confirmation, but I've not heard reports of them NOT doing so. Once when I was charged more than my internet confirmation said, I had to go to the garage booth to get it straigthened out. It did take a while - but I ended up OK. They gave me a slightly better deal than I originally had (something about codes in the system, they said), but who could argue with that? :teeth:

Best wishes -

I'm always mixing codes and never had a problem.

I've done two with no problem, not sure with three-
What three did you use?
I've tried to do that and it always comes up invalid.

I'd think they'd have to honor any reservation if you had a printed confirmation.

I used National's product code, Priceless coupon code & Carlson contract ID. This gives me the best rate I could get (and I've tried A LOT  )

Are you sure it's not better without the product code?

....with or without product code...

At the time, I got the better rate with the product code. However, just now, I tried both with and without the product code and got the same price quoted for each.

...Crazy, crazy system:crazy:
I wish I could get my hands on one of those super secret rental car decoder rings!

National is the only rental company that lets you do this...use different contract codes with different coupons.

I never put in the product code, it usually results in a higher price. That code comes from specials on the National website. For example if you clicked on an offer on their website, National will automatically put in the product rate code if you qualify for the special and you'll get the qualifying discount...most of the time though if you put that code in yourself, it doesn't yeild a discount and actually makes it higher.
