Is HH as difficult with cash ressie during peak times?

Just wondering if it is any easier to book a HH trip during summer if paying cash as opposed to points. Or is the resort pretty much filled with DVC owners all summer?

Weekends may have some cash availability, but the weekdays in summer are pretty filled with point reservations. I expect there will still be cash availability during the slower winter months.

There have been cash reservations available from the developer, but that will be ending once the resort sells out- expected within the next year.
