It's official....we booked our 7 night Eastern Caribbean sailing on April 29th, 2006!!!
So far we have four families going...eight adults and eight kids...but there's always room for more...any of our May 2004 Eastern Magic buddies still out there? Bow Tie Joe? Philly Jen? Jason & Travis? Heidi & Monkeyboy Smith? Anyone else???
571 days seems like so far away, but hopefully time will fly by and before I know it we'll be sipping two-for-one drinks on deck 10 and saying "James, another round"!!!

Count me in, I just thought I would reply and put this back near the top in case there is anyone else out there who might have missed this thread.
BTW, we will probably be staying at the Ron Jon before this cruise, we did it before and what a way to start a vacation.
tompirate: any other pirates out there?

Woo hoo!!! Another family just booked their cruise so we're up to five families...10 adults and 10 kids! We will also be celebrating 9 birthdays on board (including a 40th...not mine!)!!! It will definitely be one gigantic party!!!

Man gearing up already for '06! :bounce: I think this cruise is going to be just crazy!
We are looking in to it, but the gang really wanted to do the western this time around, so we may end up on the crusie the week before yours. Any chance of you guys switching??
It will be entertaining to watch you thread at least!
BowTie Joe :boat:
I found out if you search this forum for mojito (some drink we were discussing in the weeks before our cruise). Our old thread is easy to find.

BowTie Joe,
You have to come with us, no Western, Kadir does not work on the Western trips only the Eastern. JennLyn talk some sense into your man, everybody knows your the one who makes the decisions anyway. Joe you had better reconsider, or else I will turn Pango loose, and that is a sight that nobody wants, a Teddy Bear with an attitude.
April 29th 2006, will be almost identical to the Original Pirate Cruise of 2004, we will have someone (to be named at a later date) turning 40, and my boy Pangs will be 41 on this cruise. Also there is no way that you can in your right mind go a week before us, who will yell "Hey BowTie Joe, get me a beer", and JennLyn still hasn't finished her Trip Reports from the last cruise so this would help her finish her Eastern Cruise Report.
Don't make me beg you or I will, and tell Camera Chris we are taking up a collection for a new bag for him.
Tompirate:
P. S. if anyone wants to know why we call him BowTie Joe you have to read the May 1st 2004 Eastern Cruise thread.

Ok- you guys caught us in a weak moment!!! We had company and the wine was flowing!!! We will be on that cruise if I have to sell my body on the street corner to get there. My jewelry business(started since the last cruise) could give us a writeoff if my mom and dad attend(dad-financier!!)......
I called Patty as soon as you called us tonight, and she wasn't home- she apparently has a life.....
If she can get us a good deal-we'll be there cause Kate has to be a better 5YO than she is a 3YO.
Actually- it is kind of scary that you would call tonight, Hannah asked about Sarah yesterday in the morning-she must have dreamt about her......
I will be busy until the election

Ok- you rope me into this thread and you all leave?????I see how it is.....
Anyway-We talked to Patty and Mike and they are also in for the 29th Eastern. She is our cruise agent so she will get back to us in a few days on Prices..... and then we book!
The girls are so excited- I don't know how I can wait that long. The sad thing is that they will be 5 and 7 instead of 3 and 5.....
But- I figure that we will get more grown up time this time around.....
Thanks for calling last night adn we are so excited.

YOU'RE GOING! YOU'RE GOING! YOU'RE GOING!!!!!!!
PhillyJen2006 you can not believe how excited I was to hear that 1.) Tom called you, 2.) You booked this cruise, and 3.) You found our new thread!!!!!!!
You have definitely made my day! The only bad part about this whole thing is that we have to wait 558 more days before we sail! The waiting is going to be torture, but luckily we'll have each other to get us through the agony!!!
:boat: :boat: :boat: :boat: :boat: :boat: :boat:
Now that you and your Orangemen friends are locked in you'll need to help us work on Bow Tie Joe and JenLyn...they need to go too!!!! No Western cruise for them...besides, the Cayman Islands blew away with all of the hurricaines!
Sarah will be very excited to "hang" with Hannah again while all of the parents are sipping (okay chugging) Key Lime Martinis!
Since my last post we had some more friends book so we are up to 20 in our group...you may not want early dining like us because the dining room is going to be LOUD and CRAZY!
The ages of your girls will definitely fit in with the ten from our group...we'll have two 10 year olds, two 9 year olds, one 8 year old, three 7 year olds and two 4 year olds! And eight out of 10 of them are girls!!!!!!!
princess: princess: princess: princess: princess: princess: princess: pirate: pirate: princess:
No backing out now PhillyJen...once you're on the thread you are official!!! Make it happen!!!
By the way, we're on deck 7 this time. Our group has cabins 7001, 7003, 7005, 7007, 7010 & 7012. Some are inside category 10 and some are outside category eight...no verandas for our group...we need to economize on the accommodations so we have more drinking money!!!

We are going to do the same adjoining cabins that we did the last time. We need to have the party room again! Hannah is so excited to see Sarah again. I just need Patty to get back to us with pricing so I can start the Disney Cruise Savings Plan......
I am so glad Tom called. We had talked about 06 for another cruise, but as soon as he called, we knew that our date had been chosen for us. Too easy!!!
We haven't had Key Lime Martini's since that Fateful night. I was just looking at our pictures of Pat and how he went downhill so fast on that last night....... The funniest one is of him on the bed then next morning. I will see if I can figure out how to post it!
Hang on I will add it to the rest of my disney pics on Webshots!
I will send you the link when I am done.
Off to watch the Cowboys get schooled by the Steelers!

Ok- I need this thread to move faster than this. I am now addicted which is really sad since we have like 1000 days till the cruise. I will send Patty the link and that should help but it is like it was 30 days out from our first cruise on DCL with built in friends. I don't know how I can wait.
We are doing Disney at Christmas, but that isn't the same...... That costs Money! he he he he ......
Anyway, can't wait to hear from Tom and Pango and family....I am so bad with names, but I think Mrs. Pango is Laura?
Have a great night and I had better hear from someone by morning.

PhillyJen and HeadGear Pat,
You guys rock, if I had known that all it took was one simple phone call to get you to cruise again I would have called much sooner. I'm sure the timing had to be right (wait for Pat to get his braces off), but you guys better be serious about booking this baby. We won't even have to wait until the last night to hang out now, and I owe Pat at least 2 bottles of Vanilla Stolis.
Jen the more pictures you have of Pat on the morning after, the better in fact if you have any from A1A that would be great. I hope all is well with you guys, we still need to get Joe and Jen to go also. I had dinner and a few beers with BowTie in D.C. the week Reagan died, he had driven in from Baltimore it was great to see him. Of course I drunk dialed him quite a bit this summer, and he returned the favor quite often.
It still is quite a while off, but this will go faster than you know it with the thread already starting so soon. Pat get off your butt and post something would ya.

Damn...the pressure to reply is almost too great for me to handle! I was actually just laying in bed trying to fall asleep and I couldn't get this post off of my mind...I was laying there composing what I was going to post tomorrow, but I just had to run downstairs and get it out there tonight! Do you know how hard it is to come up with something witty and humorous to write...that's what I mean about the pressure...if it isn't funny then forget about it!!!
And now, to make matters worse, my lovely husband beat me to the funny, witty punch line! What I wanted to say was that it was so good to hear that Headgear Pat got his braces off! Will he be getting his license soon? Did he have a date for the homecoming dance, or did he go solo? How is the debate team going? Blah, blah, blah...it sounded much funnier when I was laying in bed and before I came down to find that Tom already used the braces line! I'll have to work on something better for tomorrow!!!
PhillyJen2006
10-18-2004, 07:57 AM
You guys are too funny! I think he does have a date to the homecoming dance, but his brother will have to drive us. Wait that is a flashback to 1989......
Anyway, I have a busy day today. Julie you and I were probably awake at the same time worring about today. I am buying lunch for one of my largest dealerships and they wanted Fried Chicken for 100 people. Long story short, I had a nightmare about the lunch, that I had to have the delivery guy take me to an ATM so I could get money to pay for it, then he took me out for drinks at a honky tonk bar! He looked like Patrick Swayze actually..... I am still reeling from the reality of it all.
Anyway, Hannah is still asleep and the school bus comes in 1/2 hour........Have a great day!

We will be on that cruise if I have to sell my body on the street corner to get there. :earseek:
It sounds like this will be the cruise to be on again!!! Unfortunately, the gang won't budge on the Western. at least so far, but Bowtie Joe will have to get serious now.
JenLynn and I were thinking if we do end up on the cruise the week before you guys, we will hide a surprise somewhere for you guys to retrieve. :earsboy:

NO WAY! NO WAY! NO WAY!
BOW TIE JOE YOU WILL NOT, I REPEAT YOU WILL NOT BE GOING ON THE WESTERN CRUISE THE WEEK BEFORE US...it is absolutely out of the question...your mission is to convince your lovely wife and your camera crazy friends that they would hate the Western cruise...tell them that the Cayman Islands blew away during the hurricaines, tell them that everyone who goes to Mexico gets the runs from drinking the margaritas, tell them that the food is bad on the Western cruise, tell them that they don't have refillable beer mugs on the Western cruise, tell them that the kids clubs are closed on the Western cruise, tell them that your boss refuses to give you the week of April 22nd off and is making you take your vacation from April 29th - May 6th...TELL THEM ANYTHING...just make sure they get the point!!!!!!!!

Just tell him that he lives on the east coast therefore the eastern cruise is better suited for him. Most of all Tell Him I Like I LIKE ORANGE !!!!!!
Tell him I am not happy.

Tell him PhillyJen is selling her body (that did it for me)
PhillyJen2006
10-18-2004, 03:39 PM
Ok- a few things here.....The body that I am selling is STILL 15lbs heavier than it was the day I boarded the magic. I cannot believe how difficult it has been to get the cruise weight off. At least I have a few days until the next cruise.
That is my next thing...how do I get the countdown on my thread? Back to remedial thread posting here! I tuned in way late to the last one.
Tell Camera Chris that Jamaica James(-he was our drink waiter too) doesn't do Western.....
We did 1 western cruise and were not thrilled with the itinerary. I did get the runs bc I HAD to have true Mexican food-yuck and I was pregnant besides.....

You know I may be the one hiding for you to retrieve.:earsboy:
Ahh Philly if memory serves correct... You looked good the day you boarded and the next and the next... as well as the last, so don't sweat it.
Chris will be easily convinced as well... lets see Julie, Laura and now Philly Jen.... Yeah he'll be hooked no problem. It's the wives that will give us the problem. and one of the other families... for some reason they really want to go to cayman.
Jen and I have cruised the western before, I liked it enough, but given the choice of the crazy crusie or a western.. I'll take the crazy:crazy: We will find a way!
And this thread already 2 pages and you have what like half a century to go before the cruise.
JenLynn
10-18-2004, 06:26 PM
OK ... Can I just explain to you the magic you have worked on my husband ..... just a week ago BowTie Joe was saying that he didn't want to do the Disney Western Itinerary because he had already been on the Disney ship and wanted to try one of the new/huge Royal Caribbean ships ..... and now ... not only does he want to go on another Disney cruise .... but he wants to go ON THE SAME EXACT cruise that we went on last time ..... How did ya do it??????? It is amazing!!!!!
Well, I have to say that I am sold ... I say we join ya'll!
Of course that is going to be a hard sell with Camera Chris and his wife. I tried to get them to join the thread last time and they never participated, but i will try it again.
The time around it would be:
BowTie Joe, JenLynn, Mickey Jr., The Little Princess
Camera Chris and wife and daughter
JenLynn's sister, sister's DH, and their baby
BowTie Joe's long-lost twin/best friend and his DW and baby
JenLynn's Scrapbook buddy and her DH and 3 kids
BowTie Joe's (and Camera Chris') co-worker and DW and 2 kids
Add that to the Belle and Rella Crew and Philly Jen and friends and that is quite a party!! And this time i will make sure to partake of Headgear's bartending expertise ... but will we all fit in the stateroom this time?? :crowded:
Well, i am off to e-mail the gang and see if there is *any* way i can talk them into the 4/29/06 Eastern Cruise ... wish me luck!!!!

JenLynn you know that you are making a wise decision...and if Camera Chris and his bride don't want to join us then I say leave them on shore and sail without them! That'll show them who's boss!!!

PhillyJen got in touch with us & told us we're going on the Magic 4/29/06 so I think we'll be back where we were this past May- cat 6 adjoining balconies. As far as Pat's bartending parties, I say slumber party in one room for princesses & the other for key lime martinis. As long as Jen & I don't have to prepare a potato dish (haha-inside joke), keep the KLM's pouring Pat!!!! Sounds like Bowtie Joe might be turning, hope to see everyone that is if we are not buried by snow here in SYRACUSE:sunny: Our 2 princessesprincess: princess: will be 5 & 8 when we sail then. Good Rainy Tuesday~
Yay MermaidPatty!!!! I know it isn't easy to find but this will help us make the next 500 or so days seem like.......an eternity!
Actually, BowTie- it exact opposite is true. Pat(I am afraid to say) and Mike(Patty's husband) are longtime Cowboys fans. You see, when you grow up in Syracuse, you really have no professional sports idols-since the Buffalo Bills are only a professional sports team every 10 years or so. The Jets and the Giants-come on.... So when they were just little impressionable young altar boys-oh wait, that's a different story...
Anyway-we do Love the Eagles because Donovan McNabb was a Syracuse player so we brought a littl bit of home with us to Philly. We have been here 5 years.

Welcome Jeff and Alyssa! Hope you can make it! We are planting a $$ tree in the back yard this weekend so hopefully it will grow enough to pay for the trip!
BTJ-Our bus doesn't come until 8:30 which is nice, but it makes it tough for me to get to work at a reasonable time. She doesn't get off the bus until 4:10 ish-when the bus driver doesn't take a wrong turn or something. Long Day! Our schools are on a campus and so they really need to stagger arrivals and departures.

BowTie Joe,
I am disappointed in you, I thought you would be old school and rooting for the Colts not the old Browns. Either way try going through life as a Lions fan, now you understand why I drink, it is not because I want to, it is because I have to. Camera Chris better get his butt active on this thread, so we have another arrow in our quiver when we go to battle with his wife about going on the eastern. I can't get any of our unbelieveably awesome crew (a little suck up:crazy: ) to register and get active, the whole internet thing (sounds like Headgear Pat doesn't it) freaks them out.
Jen, thanks for posting all the pictures especially the one that Pat made for me, I wish I had that costume for the Halloween party that we have on Saturday. How did your Roadhouse Chicken Party with the King of Dirty Dancing go yesterday?

I never did get my thong back from Patty.
Just to refresh everyone's memory, I put a pair of underwear in a disney cruise line bag the night we were packing. Julie, after the fact, said she saw me do it. Then I packed that bag. It turns out, apparently, that we took home a bag of doll clothes from Skyler's American Girl Doll. I didn't think about it and sent the bag off to Patty. And anyone who knows me(ESPECIALLY PATTY), knows that the mail is not my forte. I had a jean jacket of theirs for about 3 months in a box all ready to send. Just never quite got there.
So, you can imagine how proud I was to have sent this bag right off to them. Unfortunately, it was the Disney Cruise Line Bag(like none of us had 600 of these bags by the end of the week). that I shoved my ***favorite**** pair of undies in....
How embarassing!

Colts left us!! Abandoned in the middle of the night!! Forget them! Ravens are the expansion team Baltimore should have recieved back when Jacksonville and Carolina got the teams. Super Bowl 35 champs!!!!! JenLynn and I were actually there to see it!! Now if we could just find a couple receivers, we could go back!
Ahh the Lions.... but they were starting to look better. I had Charles Rodgers on my fantasy team. Man same season ending injury as last year.

Geeezzz, can't a girl even go to Target???
I had a very busy morning...I got two girls up, brushed their hair (not fun!), fed them breakfast, made their lunches and sent them out the door to the bus, fed breakfast to number three, changed her diaper a few times (she either poops out hard little rabbit terds that make her cry or she has the runs - no happy poop medium!), read the paper, drank my coffee, watched the opening monologue on Regis & Kelly, showered, went to Target, met Tom for a yummy sushi lunch and now finally I am able to catch up on all of my reading!!!
Does anyone know why Target has the most awesome stuff but you can't get out the door for under a hundred bucks???
Apparently Lindsey (8 1/2) didn't like the Halloween costume that I already bought so there I was picking through the rack at Target looking for the one that she really wanted (a rock star). According to Tom she is starting to think for herself and he thinks I have a problem with that! She's only 8 1/2...I still have another 10 years worth of thinking to do for her, right?!?!
I am so excited that my little thread is already to page three and we still have 556 days to go...can you even imagine how many pages we might end up with!!! I love that Patty is getting involved...I only with our lame friends would join in!
I'm with you BTJ on the reunion thing...a post 04/pre 06 reunion is definitely in order! And an indoor water park is just the thing that us midwesterners & northeasterners need in the middle of the winter!!!

I can't believe this we are 550 some days away, and I am addicted. I had a second so I did some calculations.
Baltimore to Sandusky 6 hours 50 minutes 422.82 miles
Philadelphia to Sandusky 7 hours 46 minutes 480.68 miles
Syracuse to Sandusky 6 hours 19 minutes 395.97 miles
Lansing to Sandusky 2 hours 59 minutes 178.86 miles
These are Mapquest times and miles and are not totally accurate, remember back for the last cruise it said it should have taken us over 20 hours and we made it in 17. To be fair though I also checked into a distance that would be a little more equal.
Baltimore to Pittsburgh 4 hours 2 minutes 248 miles
Philadelphia to Pittsburgh 4 hours 58 minutes 305 miles
Syracuse to Pittsburgh 5 hours 27 minutes 360 miles
Lansing to Pittsburgh 5 hours 38 minutes 349 miles
I am not sure of anything like an indoor water park in Pittsburg, but I sure someone could find something.
Just had a second on my hands and since nobody had posted I thought I would put in a little filler.

If you want my 2 cents worth, not a huge fan of waterparks. It always amazes me that people who go(most) look like they can't afford a bath, but seem to be able to afford the ticket.....
Anway, HGp says he will take 2 pickets to Titsburg! Pittsburgh is a really fun town. They have Station Square, and believe it or not, fun places to go.. My sister lives in Pittsburgh.....the only problem with Pittsburgh is that Ketchup Witch lives there!!! Perhaps by then, we won't have to keep seeing her wretched face on TV any more....
Off to each my weight watchers popcorn that I have been obsessing over all day. 555 days and 14 lbs to go. That is only really .025 pounds a day. I can do that!!!
Have a great afternoon, catch up with you tonight.

Julie, finally back from her galavanting around town. Sushi lunch with Tom huh?? So that's what you guys call it up in MI. :duck: I know what you mean about target. While I don't regularly shop there (since i don't regularly shop), JenLynn does, and I never see a credit card charge for under $100 from target.

Well, we have school picture day tomorrow, so I'd better go wash and iron something!
I was thinking, we need to start a webpage like Three Circles, or ask Jason to let us post on his site for our cruise....now that I am allowed to post our pictures on the internet.
OK- going to fill a few orders tonight. Check to see if Talbots kids still has their huge sale and off to bed.....

Joseph,
I really don't give a hoot, what you have to do to convince your Photographing friend, what I don't think you understand is this is a non-nogotiable thing. The Western cruise does not exist in your world, if I need to step in I will, but you might want to persuade Chris yourself before I get involved. :duck:
I don't do well with no, I am in sales, no just means that you haven't thought about it long enough, or I haven't presented it in a way that is acceptable for you. You are turning me into a telemarketer, by making me follow up with constant phone calls, and that is not a form of sales that I am comfortable with. Don't make me bring in my manager (the Queen) to close this deal.
Book the darn cruise Joseph, JenLynn cut him off until he books the cruise.

Joseph,
There is a casino in St. Maarten, in fact I think that there are 3 total. I can't teach you how to sell, you are either born with it or not, but I know grasshopper that you have it in you, you just have to find your happy spot (that would be with us on the cruise) and let it out.
Pango is in Kokomo, IN on business and will be home tonight, I tell you if that picture doesn't get him to post I don't know what will. That was a Good Time.....Good Times....Lets do it again Joseph.
Castlegazer, Welcome aboard:wave: this is a pretty happy group, happy hour in fact is all day long on the Disney Cruise. We will introduce you to Jamica James (the King of Beat the Clock), Kadir, and of course BowTie Favorite Natalie from Austraila (JenLynn all she did was replace a Drink that got spilled). It will be heartbreaking to go on a cruise in April and have it not be with you guys ... but it is looking like that is a strong possibility.  :sad2:  :sad2:  :sad2:
Trust me, Joe is working the angles wtih Camera Chris and his wife, but they are not interested in repeating the same exact cruise (since it is the only cruise they have ever been on). They want to do the Western Disney. Joe wants Eastern Disney with ya'll or else RCCL to the southern caribbean.... i just want everyone to be happy and in all honesty there is no way that is going to happen!
Well, i do have a solution but BowTie didn't like this idea .... my idea was to do back-to-back Disney cruises ... the Western Caribbean with our gang from here .... and then the following week on the Eastern with you!!! Now c'mon ... doesn't that sound like the perfect solution???? ::yes::
Now Tom, can you give me some sales lessons so i can talk BTJ into that plan?
PhillyJen2006
10-20-2004, 08:23 PM
JenLynn and BTJ, I don't see what the problem is.....we have been planning a cruise with HG's family as well as my family and we just told them to go %$#! themselves we are going on a Disney cruise, with or without you.....
Actually, we haven't exactly told Pat's family, but if they go....who will pick up my drunk husband at the pier and let him puke in their brand new Suburban......ON HIS BIRTHDAY NO LESS!!!! Sorry Tom, I didn't think to take out my camera, cause if you remember correctly, we had just lost Hannah on the elevator a few minutes before that!!!!
Where is everyone tonight? Patty, you can't just post once and think you are all cool!!! You have read, Tom is not kidding, he will come and find you....if he has to telemarket to do it!!! and Tom, I think you are pretty good at that telemarketing thing. I could have sworn it was Disney Cruise line themselves calling me on friday night trying to sell me on the cruise!!!!
Got to get the girls to bed. My mom sold 14 bracelets today!!!! I guess I have to get to work......I need to start thinking about Pink Pearl Designs commission or incentive program! If I could hang at the SPA all day, I would sell bracelets too!!!! BUT NO- I am out peddling car parts. So glamourous!!!
Oh- I guess that is a new thing since last time, my mom and I started a small custom jewelry business( it was in the works during the cruise), mother's bracelets, custom wedding jewelry and stuff. It is a lot of fun and really just what we needed to fill EVERY POSSIBLE FREE MOMENT!!!
Anyway, probably won't post again tonight. You know, the baseball game and all.....GAG!!!
Have a great night, y'all!!! Talk tomorrow. JenLynn and BTJ- we didn't get to hang last time, you get to hang with Camera Chris and wife all the time.......

Hi Jen!! I am pretty new to the whole web publishing thing myself! If i understand this correctly, you need to host your pics at a website (not a webshots kinda thing). I have a website for my students (and in case anyone is interested in checking it out ... it is www.carangal.com) and BowTie is hosting his picks there (via my service). We can link directly to them, but they aren't seen on my website. If you have a webhost for your jewelry site, you can host the pics there (and again, just put them on the webhost's server, you don't have to actually have them on your website). If you need to, i can post them with my host ... just e-mail them to BowTie or myself.
I am sure this is clear as mud, but i am running out the door to head to school ... i'll check back tonight.

You all are a little too fast with the posting for me - I am a 9-5 DIS'r - and I've got calls for me to keep up the traveling DIS'r thread, which I am failing miserably at I might add, and to get on the stick with my work load -which is burrying me. I work in corporate commercial real estate.
Anything I can do to to tip the scales? - Although, I've got to say, you all are a bit more down the road than I am with the friends cruising thing. I can not for the life of me convince any of our traveling buddies who we go to Disney and other vacations with, to even think about cruising with us. I say screw 'em - we're going to go on a cruise and have the time of our lives!!! I have been waititng for many years to start cruising again and no one else's schedule is going to get in the way for me going. My friends know when we are going - they can come if they want to or stay home and mope - completely up to them.

Only have a minute here as I am in geek training.
PJ - As jen said you have to host the file on a public web server. Not to go too geek here, but when you hit a web site a server is responsible for providing that content. In our case, Jen has set up and account with a hosting company, and I have uploaded the pics there. Then to link them to the post i give the address of the pic ie. www.mypic.com. This is wrapped in the IMG tag. You should see an IMG button on the post edit screen.
If you have a site for your business, you should be able to up load your photos there, and if not we would be happy to host them for you. App architech Headgear should be able to help you with this.
Tom -- I love you man! :sunny: I still need to forward you the contact info you need.

Castlegazer, we have sailed the Grand Princess and it is wonderful! We have also sailed RCCL and Celebrity. I am proud to say I am a food and wine snob!!! While, yes, they are wonderful ships, they just do not have the "magic" this ship does. In fact, after the disney cruise, we all thought we would cruise again this year, but just not on Disney. We thought about the Mariner(who saw my Boo@s after St. Thomas) and when it came down to it, the Magic can't be beat for that look that it puts on your kids faces for an entire week!!!! I just got tears in my eyes remembering when they announced the Metzler family from Philadelphia! And it never stopped for the entire cruise! And yes, there are ALOT of children on board and no matter what people say, you do see them.....ALOT! But in a few years, my kids are going to be beyond the Disney Magic feeling and want something else!!!! I want to give them this while they are still in absolute awe of everything they see for an entire week! It was an experience that can't be duplicated(unless we take another Disney cruise!!!).... And we cruised with great friends who have the same parenting philosophy that we do, keep your kids busy with stuff and we can drink and have fun!!! Just kidding. WE haven't actually booked, but we will. After our Tax return this year. And I have hired an accountant so it will be done early!!!
Patty is going to make sure we get adjoining balcony cabins so 1 can be the party room.
Question, is everyone getting early dining again? I think it worked out fine! Actually, if you ask our dining companions, we didn't stay out past 10pm 1 night, and the last....well you heard the details!!!!
Hope all is well in MI-Tom, you are seeing to it the GWB wins that state correct!!! NOw would be the time to start using your selling skills.
Hope all is well in MD, MA , VA and NY!!! Can't wait to hear from you all!!!!
Think about Patty, she is in Palm Beach right now while the rest of us are freezing out butts off. Actually-Rush is in his southern command this week. Patty- Say Hi to Rush if you see him!

What is up everyone? It is friday and it is one more week down before we all go cruisin together. We have a big Halloween party this weekend, after we go to three soccer games tomarrow and 2 soccer practices tonight, the party is actually going to be at one of our so called friends who refuses for some reason to post on this sight. C'mon Doc and Leis, get on the ball and post, since Pango hasn't got up to it yet, you need to step up baby.
Joe, the website that you listed I think is in Italian, did you do that on purpose? If so, man you are deep, book the damn cruise would ya.
PhillyJen, first your husband is lame, mixes a fantastic key lime martini, but nonetheless lame for not posting. As far as delivering the state, I think I am a good salesman but when you have the big three and the UAW (who by the way put in their contract that they get every election day off) in your back yard it is tough. Right now Jane Fonda's friend has a 47 to 43 percent lead in the last poll I saw, gotta love Mr. Nader who has 3%, but W is not done, and I will continue on. Julie can't wait for the election to get over, but this is what I live for, I love it.
Castlegazer, I like your attitude about your friends and getting them to go on vacation with you. I live by a motto when it comes to Disney vacations " For those that don't understand, no explaination will do, for those that do understand no explaination is necessary".

Tom, Thanks for the positive attitude! You forget, I work for the big One! I do get every election day off! I can spend as much time in that booth savoring every minute of it as I want......
Actually, I volunteered at Hannah's school that day. They vote in the cafeteria which I am not crazy about. I thought about keeping her home citing security concerns, is that lame?
I am afraid I am in the same boat in PA. But I think the UN's 7 mile spanking machine has about a 1 point lead. PA I cannot explain except for Philly and Pittsburg....and their Katsup Heirress!!! How in the hell do you spell Katsup anyway?
OK- anyway, I was up at 4am looking for a little disboard action and nothing....where is everyone! I actually had a few orders that I put off until the very last minute that had to get done. Nothing like stringing beads with teeny tiny holes at 4 in the morning!
My hubby is lame, but he is a mean bartender! He is home today with what I can only describe as Menstrual cramps. I checked out his symptoms on WebMD and it appears that he is either pregnant or PMSing. For those of you who didn't grow up with HGP, PMS stands for Pat Metzler Syndrome! SO needless to say, he WILL have time to get his game on.....and post!
Hoping to hear from everyone today!

::yes:: ::yes:: I could not agree more - I just had to wait for my wee ones to get old enough. This is a total fantasy of mine - I have a condo in Cocoa Beach and since they ditched the Big Red Boat, I have been going down to the port and looking at the Magic whenever I can. I have been waiting for a long time to do this cruise. And while one wee one will not be old enough really to be able to have full free adult time during the day - my son will be exactly the right age at 4 yo. I am psyched to be able to have my Pina Coladas out on deck - the last time we cruised I was six months pregnant, and boy did that suck!!! Did you know they charge you basically the same amount for a virgin drink as the real thing??????
[b]Question, is everyone getting early dining again? I think it worked out fine! Actually, if you ask our dining companions, we didn't stay out past 10pm 1 night, and the last....well you heard the details!!!!
Hmm - maybe I need to do a little more reading to catch up on this little tidbit. Yes - we are early seating. I also asked for a large table as my husband and I bored each other to death on our last cruise as we had a table for two and by the end of the week, you both have been doing the exact same thing every day - day in and day out - and there's little new to talk about. We loved sharing tables in previous cruises and meeting new people who were tons of fun - kinda like you all seem to be.

I am on my second day of writers block! For the second day in a row I don't have anything creative, funny, humorous, or witty to say so I thought I'd just say...
 HELLO EVERYONE!!!
Busy morning for me (again)...after I got the girls off to school I had to meet my girlfriends for coffee...it's our usual Friday ritual! Then it was off to Kohl's for a little bargain hunting, home to make lunch for Abby...now it's time to get her in bed for her nap so I can get my chores done before soccer practice (Lindsey) and gymnastics (Sarah)! Busy weekend for us...don't expect any action on this thread tomorrow...we will be in SOCCER MODE for most of the day and then PARTY MODE :drinking1 for the Halloween Party that we're going to...we'll post pictures of our costumes (if we can figure out how to do it)!
Have a great weekend everyone!!!

And thank castleglazer... we have cruised other lines as well and have had an excellent time, but the May 1st Magic had something special. It's not offen you find friends while on a 1 week vacation.
And did I read that right... Philly Jen not actually booked?!?! PJ no more hard time from you until you have booked your cruise.
WooHooo :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: Tom and Julie have a halloween party... Guess I can expect a drunk dial this weekend? What happen to my daily phone call yesterday. And tell Pango, if I don't see him posting soon< we are definitely not booking!!!

Off to have another beer... :drinking1 by myself like that first night of the May 1st cruise :bored: At least my camera man can hang.

Pango,
You rock Dude, not only are you the Captain (certainly not the Rear Admiral), but you are the MVP baby. Only I wish I knew music a whole bunch more, because even when I know your quoting Buffet in your posts, I have no idea what song it is or what the heck it means. I tell you what my Mr. Clean looking friend (shaved his head in Vegas, whole nother story), are you with me when we go to Baltimore to kick butt and take names if these knuckleheads don't book this cruise? BowTie, JennLyn, and even tell Camera Chris, you don't want a guy who graduated high school at 5'6" and 160 with blonde wavy hair, and now is a big olde Teddy Bear (that could have an attitude, not pretty).
BTW, it is 6 a.m. and I am up on a Saturday morning and of course the first thing I do is check the boards to see what is going on. Now if we could just get HG Pat to join up, we have to be patient with him if you remember he was the one who was all freaked out about this deal last time. Jenn you need to fill him with Vodka and loosin that boy up a little, that PMS thing had me rolling on the floor. PhillyJen is it O.K. if Pat comes out and plays?
Joe, that picture is the view I had when I drank 6 Bushwackers with Pango up at paradise point in St. Thomas, tell Chris they don't have views like this underwater (Grand Caymen). Well I had better make some coffee, get the paper, and do some reading (sorry), before we have to head out for 3 soccer games today (the first which is coached by the Pango himself), and then off to the Halloween Party, where I am going as ***** (no way Pango am I going to tell). You can all find out tomarrow and NO we are not going as BowTie Joe and Headgear Pat.

Yay! Action on the thread! Actually , I was in bed early last night. Hannah's elementary school had a fall fun fest last night and for the 2nd year in a row, I volunteered to be "Story Witch". We make the stage in the gym dark, I wear a witch hat(and yes it is a different hat than I wear everyday) and read stories to 400 elementary school children. And I was so freaking tired when I was done. I felt like the volunteer babysitter last night.
This morning, HGP is doing his manly thing by installing a dishwasher, plumbers crack and all. I don't know if I have mentioned this in the post, but our dishwasher has been so loud since we built this house 5 years ago that it sounded like a DC-10 was taking off in the living room every time we ran it. And recently it just stopped actually cleaning, but it still "worked". So on October 3rd I went to Lowes and bought a new dishwasher, which had to be special ordered. It was SUnday and cold, so I invited some friends over for Chowder and Wine. After using every dish in the house, I put the dishwasher through and what do you know, it broke.
So now, my "proactive" plan to get the new dishwasher has backfired and now I am now hand washing dishes myself(and HGP definately did his share). That is when the nightmare started. I understand supply chain hiccups, I am in that business.......BUT NOT WHEN IT IS MY DISHWASHER. Long story shorter, it came yesterday. But only after I called Lowes everday since the original due date, got a 50$ lowes gift card and talked them into free delivery(my salesmanship at work)! Needless to say, I cannot wait to have my dishwasher back! I don't even care if it is noisy.
PhillyJen2006
10-23-2004, 09:14 AM
I didn't mean to post! In my excitement to share my dishwasher story. Anyway, busy day today for us, except we have no party to go to:mad:
We have soccer and school #2 fall fest this afternoon, and HGP better have my dishwasher in by dinner!!!! I am so mean.
No Joe, we haven't booked yet, and it is only because we haven't had a chance to talk with Mike and Patty yet. They are coming in early December for the Eagles/Cowboys game-which is always a trip! We will get everything squared away then. The difference between us is that our friends pick on me for being camera Jen (600 cruise pictures)and we ALL want to go on this cruise! I know you will make it happen, and so will we! WE want to be able to spend more than just the last day at CC with you guys!
OK- off to get ready for my crazy day! Have a good one everyone! Can't wait to hear what you are going to be tonight Tom. I have to admit, HGP would have been a great costume. His costume is a cowboy, complete with Chaps, a Vest and Hat and a bare @$$ hanging out of his chaps. Again, when I find the picture, I will post it.
Come to think of it, wouldn't the bare @$$ be funny at the soccer game today?
Have a great day!

Forgot to mention something to you all! Our dining rotation was PLAPLAP the last time, which was great cause we were in Lumieres on Formal night and Parrot Cay on Carribean night. On Semi, we were in Animators. The theme nights worked out great with that rotation. We requested it though our trusty travel agent(Patty) and she delivered. Just a thought~

Good morning everyone!!!!! Wow ... so much action on the thread ..... BTJ, how can we not go on this cruise?????
Pango .. you're back!!!!! YAY!!!!!!! We missed you:wave2:
PJ, in Maryland the schools are closed for election day so they can use them as poling places. So that means the kids and I are all off for election day .... party time! (and the kids are funny, they always go to vote with me and then for the next few months after we pass by the school where i vote, they will point in awe "Mommy, isn't that where you voted?")
Well, i am in a good mood this morning .... i played sick yesterday afternoon and took a half a day off school ... talk about a mental health day - i needed that so badly! And this morning it is sunny and bright.
Hmmm .... Kohl's for bargain hunting ... good idea Julie, i just might have to give it a try.
And castlegazer, I completely understand about dinner companions .. it is so much fun to meet new people. On our honeymoom cruise we sat at a table with 3 other honeymoon couples and had a ball. On this past cruise we met Tom, Julie, Pango, Philly Jen and HGP [as well as a few other nutty cruisers ... my tribute to MonkeyBoy and Heidi] and now we can't imagine cruising without them!
Happy Saturday all... i think i am off to go spend some money at kohl's!!!!!!! (shhhh .... don't tell BowTie). ;)
JenLynn
10-23-2004, 09:30 AM
Oh, i forgot to mention (in reply to PJ's rotation post) ....
We had the APL rotation (as did Tom and the gang). I personally liked that rotation a lot (though it would have been nice to be in Lumiere's for formal night and Parrot Cay for tropical night). We had Animator's Palate the first night (with the light show) and all the kids with us were in awe.... a wonderful way to start the cruise. Our character breakfast was the next morning - which the kids loved! And we were in Animator's Palate the last night and morning .. which i liked because it just feels so "Disney" to me. But I truly think there are advantages to each ..... and if we are on that cruise with ya'll i don't care which rotation we get!!!! (though it was fun to see Tom, Pango, Julie, Laura and the girls all walk by our front door table each night).

PJ how did plumber crack Pat make out on the diswasher??
It's Bowtie's B-day tomorrow and I will be taking Maddie to the see the Ravens batter the Bills tomorrow!! Her first NFL game (second acutally, the first she was a baby). She is very excited!! What a nice way to spend a b-day... father daughter at one of my favorite places.. Ravens Stadium. (still haven't gotten use to calling it M&T Bank yet)
This was actually Teddy's game to go, but he is sidelined and will have to wait for the next one so he gets to watch us stomp the Browns in November!

JenLynn actually beat me to this...my plan was to be the first one on here this morning to wish you a happy birthday, but as you all know we had a little halloween party to attend last night and my head is a little bit hurting this morning! Jello shots are yummy going down, but not so much the next morning! If we didn't have a two year old with a body clock built around her morning poptart, we'd still be sleeping!!! :crazy2:
So yesterday was fun...Lindsey played soccer while it was raining sideways:umbrella: Since I am more of a fair weather fan, I sat in the car with Abby & Sarah and watched Spy Kids 2...Tom is a better parent than I am so he stood outside and cheered her on! I did sit through her first game in the morning though while it was 45 degrees out with 25 mile an hour winds...that was a good time!!!::yes::
I'm sure today will be spent watching football and (hopefully) taking a family nap!!! We don't see two a.m. very often anymore but unfortunately we always see 7:30 a.m.!!!:faint:

Happy Birthday BTJ! A great day for a football game. That is too cute that you are taking Maddy to a football game! I know Pat wants to take Hannah and Katie to a game someday soon.
Julie, you crack me up! I hope you guys are feeling ok this morning. I know the feeling, and the mornings always suck! Katie slept in this morning. It was 8:45 amd my mom called and wanted to talk to the girls. I told her Katie was still sleeping and she wanted me to make sure she was still there! We were really enjoying our Katie free morning. She is usually up extremely early-so early in fact that I usually don't even get to have my 1st cup of Joe without her. I love to get up early.
Hannah's soccer game went well yesterday. While she was goalie, she saved 4 shots on goal! I didn't go bc Katie refused to get dressed in anything other than her tap shoes and her poncho. Arghhhh.....
Plumbers Crack Pat is now done with the dishwasher. It took a little "coaxing" on my part to get him to have the strenth to finish it......But I knew it had worked when he woke up today and put on his "STAFF" shirt. That means he is ready to be houseboy!
Just a lazy day here. It is 1pm and I still have my jammies on. Love those days. But we have no food in the house so I have to get to the store before the Eagles!!! E - A - G - L - E - S!!!!! Uh oh- the Eagles are on now! Oh well....
Hey, Tom and Julie and Pango and Laura- Can you tell us now what you dressed as for the party last night?
Patty- you have to be back from FLA? Where are you???
Jenn, Enjoy your day with Teddy today. I hope he feels better.
Have a great sunday.

Wow.. quite the group and great costumes. Love Mr. Clean Pango! Man there have been drunk dials, but last nights raised it to a new level. I really thought you guys may actually show up in baltimore. See Julie you did not follow the golden rule... To avoid hangovers you must stay drunk. I see 2am consistently and usually see 6am the next morning. Takes extreme discipline, but sleep is just overrated, although JenLynn will disagree.
You know I was just thinking that some of my pocket protectors were missing, guess I know who has them now. :jester:
The games were great... how about Deion Sanders... you wouldn't guess he is 37. I think Maddie got a little bored, but over all had a great time.
Lastly and sadly this will be my final post to this thread .... It was fun, but it doesn't look like this will happen for us, so I must formally bow out. No bowtie joe calling from deck 10... no rocking bar D... no refillable beer mug...

After seeing Tom and Julie in their Disney get-ups for the halloween party on Saturday, I am not sure I want our cabin to be as close to them as we are. SO anyone willing to reside directly across the hall from the two scariest Disney tourists I have ever seen, let us know. We are up for room swap!

I am trying to get out of the house this morning and head to the U.P. Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes!!! :cake:
Ok ok Tom called my all-in bet! I was hoping to bluff you guys to coming with us, but I guess I got busted. We have not given up yet, after all there is still plenty of time. :sunny: :sunny:
And yes, if we would have given up when the germans bombed perl harbor where would we be. Love that movie Philly Jen... Animal house! "Wait till Otis sees us.. he loves us!"
Queen Juile... It's not that 37 is old over all... It's just old in the NFL. JenLynn let the cat out of the bag... I just turned 35. No need to beg, you know we really really want to go, it just won't be the same. We will keep working on it. Tom and I will develop a new strategy!!
And oh my oh my... Laura!?!?!? is that really you. :faint: Pango is one lucky man!!

Oh, so the truth comes out...you guys are ticked that we blew you off for Cedar Point so that is why you are refusing to go on the cruise with us??!! If I would have known that all it took was a trip to the place where Tom & I fell in love:love: then we definitely wouldn't have snubbed you eventhough you decided to go to Cedar Point during a busy week in the middle of JULY (also their busiest time...like going to DW during Spring Break). If we tell you that we wanted to go to Cedar Point but just couldn't pull it off, would that make any difference to you? Oh yeah, I forgot, I'm done begging!!! We're going on the :boat: with or without you (but hopefully with you)!!!

Oh yeah, BTJ, you shouldn't have told Tom that you would book the trip if he showed up on your doorstep...he was on the internet last night pricing same day tickets to Baltimore!!! This dude isn't taking no for an answer, so don't be surprised if you see him knocking on your door someday!!!

Yes you blew us off for Cedar point and our paparazzi made the 6 hour journey with us. But would of could of should of. :scratchin
Hmmm... may be another bet is being called. Man now I know why I don't win at poker. Well if Tom makes the trip that will be one dedicated sales man. But I do believe, the agreement was if he and Pango show up... I would book it. Just raising my odds a bit. pirate:
I tell you.. you certainly know how to make a family feel wanted!!
On another note... Took Teddy to the doc this morning and he has strep. Strange thing is, he is in high spirts and not really showing any signs of illness anymore, but he will need to stay home from school again tomorrow. WooHoo.. BowTie gets another day off!!:bounce: hummm I mean, poor teddy needs to miss another day.

O.K. I need to chime in, I just got back from Canada (Soo Canada is right across the border from Sault Ste. Marie, MI), and had a great steak dinner (sorry babe, I know you are at home with our 3 lovely girls and that is the last thing you wanted to hear) plus with tip it was 140, but that is only 100 U.S. what a deal. Joe I don't know if I can talk Pango into coming with me, but I did find airfare last night for 138 roundtrip going and coming back the same day, so watch out Bow Tie I might be at you door helping you book a cruise at anytime.
Wife love the whole falling in love thing at the Point, I remember it like yesterday our first date at red lobster, playing dirty simon says at the drive in, and you in the sexy blue uniform on the cork screw, man I wish I was home right now. Love You!!:lovestruc
Alright so I had a couple of Crown and Cokes, but can't a guy miss his wife every so often and not take any crap?
Well it is 11:30 and I have a 6 o'clock wake up call so I better hit the hay, I am sure when I am in Gaylord tomarrow I will check in. Have a great night.

I am up, cause my fantasy team has much riding on tonight. Ashlie lelie and and Jake Plummer are both on my team, but oddly enough in my other league I am playing against Lelie. It makes for an interesting dilemma. I want Lelie to do well enough to help my one team, but not to well enough to help the other team.
Ahhh... so far the perfect balance seems to be in order.
Where did Philly Jen go??? And Tom if you do come.. Ruth's Chris on me!!

You're right...didn't need to hear about the steak dinner! We had McDonald's for dinner on our way to Lindsey's Brownie Field Trip at the Corn Maze...it was nine dollars for the four of us (in U.S. dollars, of course)...luckily I had Pango and his Queen to help me drag my two and a half year old through the maze...the eight year olds ditched us and of course my toddler couldn't walk so it was nice to be able to pass her off on my buddies when I got tired of holding thirty pounds on my left hip!!!

I am so glad to see Jenlynn and BTJ back on the boards. I was getting a tad depressed. The goodbye thing made me cry:sad:
But now that you are back, we can continue abusing you....Just kidding, not one to talk really since we haven't actually booked either.
I hooked HGP up with a new screen name but he is "pretending" to be busy at work. Someone has to do it in this family!
Anway, nothing new to report other than the fact that I think both my girls are going to be sick tomorrow:(

It's actually sunny in MD today after about a week of rain and grey skies!
Latest BTJ and JenLynn update... There is some discussion about possibly doing the Western "special" crusie at the end of may. Hey Gang...I'm just back from a wonderful day at the Zoo! All of the third graders in our district get to spend a whole week at our local zoo for "zoo school" and today was my day to "volunteer". Here are a few things that I learned: tigers have really big poop, tigers lick their butts, why you ask? because they can, wolves only live in three of the lower 48 states (MI, MN, WI), otters eat turtles, lions can get cancer in their spleen, some kids ask the dumbest questions, and finally boys are much much much different than girls are!!! Being the Mom of three girls and then having to supervise three wild boys isn't easy!!! Overall it was a fun day though and I feel very fortunate that I got to spend the day with Lindsey and Madelyn (Pango's little princess).
And, on another note, you won't hear any begging from me on the whole BTJ & JL thing...I'm done with that, remember!!!

Julie!
Wow that sounds like a really fun day! I love the Zoo- the Philadelphia Zoo has the horniest animals in the world. We were there 1 day and ALL, I mean ALL the 300 year old toroises were mounted on each other and moaning. We had friends with us and they were kind of laughing uncomfortably, then when we got to the tigers who were also kind of randy that day, they were like....What the $#@@ kind of Zoo is this..... Pat and I of course were laughing hysterically all day(and went back to check on the tortioses progress several times throughout the day as well). Turns out, it takes pretty much all day just to get on and get off, let alone the deed itself.....
Just a little tip from your friends in Philly!
Also-BTJ and Jenlynn- the Ravens play the Eagles this weekend. Anyone in for a friendly bet??? I bet the Ravens will LOSE! But HGP says the Eagles look more and more beatable every week....HMMMMM too bad no one has been able to do it. Sorry for the smack talk. I am so tired I am delerious.
Anyway, hoping everyone has a great day tomorrow. I am room mom for Hannah's 1st grade class and our Halloween party is tomorrow. After that, I am hitting the bottle. It has been a crazy week! The bead business is picking up faster than I can keep up and my car parts bosses are freaking nuts with the end of the year coming up and a 14 million dollar deficit to make up. Arghhhhhh....I need a vacation!
Oh and Katie wore flowers and stripes together today in totally different color families. Not Hanna Andersson cute, with different patterns. This was welfare child cute, complete with runny nose!
Orphan Annie cute if you will! What am I going to do with her. It is not worth the effort to fight with her over her wardrobe.
Calgon-Take Me AWAY!!!!
Oooohhh here is my bet, if the Ravens win, I will make sure that HGP posts an apology to everyone for dissing(no pun intended) you all for the past few weeks......

Too funny Tom. See it's strategy... you must get them thinking something other then the regular Western first, then start bringing them back to the Eastern.
And I do believe we have just be dissed a couple of times today. Mrs. Pango such smack from such a beautiful lady.
Philly Jen... Not much of a bet there. If you don't win, you have something really wrong with your team. You are playing at home, we have 0 passing game, our top offensive weapons play defense (sanders, reed, macallister, r. lewis), our pro bowl tackle is out 4-6 weeks, our top rusher is suspened, our pro bowl tight end is out. But despite all that... I still think the Ravens find a way to win. Defence wins championships!!!! Either way enjoy your run to the NFC championship game where we all know it ends every year.!! :teeth:
Julie, glad you had such a magical day. :earsboy: We haven't been to our zoo for a while now. But the kids love it there. And must be baltimore, but all our animals aways seem a little high.

Hey look, my biggest expense I am budgeting for this cruise is alcohol consumption as I couldn't drink on my last cruise - and that just sucked!!!!
This cruise is my vacation too - Its not a WDW vacation where the kids take center stage. Its my and my DH's time too this go round. I figure at the age my daughter will be, she will still be in the two nap a day stage (woohoo, boy do I miss that stage with my son) allowing for ample time to sit and sip cocktails.
I am psyched about it. Its such a long ways off, though.
I plan on having lots of fun! And hopefully few hangovers.

I'm back baby, Philly Jen are you and HG Pat alive, I know that I talked to you on Election night and that you were feeling very good, but get Pat off the X box and lets go. I burned a hole in the carpet between the T.V. and the computer that night btw, but I am a happy man because of it. We need you guys to get a little more active (Head Gear that would mean you might have to turn on a computer), BowTie and Jen Lynn need to know that we care.
Speaking of my Beer Mug friend who doesn't sleep:drinking1 I am waiting for a phone call from him tonight, so Pango and I can book our flight to go see him and Jenn Lynn for the day. If you remember he said that if we came to see him he would book the cruise with us no matter what, well Big Boy I have to tell you you might not want to ever play Truth or Dare with this guy cause Pango and I are coming to Baltimore,:space: and you will be booking a cruise.
Castle Gazer, there are no hangovers on the cruise, (unless you are Head Gear Pat on A1A) we just take a little nap and start it up again. About sipping cocktails, that is O.K. but if James is telling you to beat the clock you will have to chug so you are not two fisted when the next round comes. By the way, James might be your best friend before the cruise is over, I know he was one of our favorites.
Pango and Pango's Queen, I need a little more imput from you two, I am sorry to call you out but gee wiz could you at least be on my team. The rest of our friends our lame at least you two could partake, WE NEED MORE COWBELL.:rockband:

And, Bobby, you are right - I am being selfish. But the last time I checked, we don't have a whole lot of songs that feature the cowbell.
Guess what? I got a fever! And the only prescription.. is more cowbell!
I knew we loved you guys for a reason. I could watch that skit over and over and still laugh my butt off. Like when Jimmy Fallon is laughing so hard he can hardly speak....
Ok, here is the deal with Pat. Working very hard, pulled in many directions at work has apparently caused him intestinal distress to the point where he has had to go to the Dr., he screamed at a girl who works for him at work last week and he is on the edge...lets all take a moment and keep HGP in our thoughts.....I think we will see a little more of him in the weeks to come. Let's be patient with him or we will see another repeat of the A1A incident.
And, he basically called my neighbor up the street a fat @$$ elitist bast%&*^ yesterday. So harsh..... to kick a libral while they are down and it is not in his character to do that. But this guy went on a tirade on Wednesday morning at the bus stop that basically said that no one is smart enough(except him) to make the decision on the president and of course it was loud enough of many others to hear. So needless to say, most people can't tolorate his elitism, Pat just decided to call him on it on Wednesday night. We had a fight that just got really dirty, including my telling the wife that I am sick of the competition that she has started between our daughters and I just want to declare Lizzy(their daughter) the winner of your "smart" contest right now so I don't have to hear it any more. And if she is so GD bored in 1st grade, then send her to 2nd and be done with it already! Anyway, the whole transcript of the event will be available on my website for your viewing pleasure! Just kidding, but it is quite a good read. I am really something when I get my panties up in a bunch. My blood is boiling again just thinking about it.
Anyway, I am thinking I might have a sick day today. Don't know yet. I was losing my voice last night so it is really tough to sell with no voice. Usually it isn't my voice that does it but it helps..... Yes, and those of you who know me probably never knew I had a voice since it was gone for most of the cruise!
About the hole in the carpet between the computer and the TV, we have it too. By about 11:00 we decided to go upstairs so I popped a huge bowl of Kettle Corn and took it upstairs to bed. I felt like Mama Kass cause I fell asleep with a mouthful of popcorn. But only for an hour. I was up all night! What I thought was absolutely hysterical, and no matter what political background you guys come from, you probably got a chuckle out of this, CNN didn't give Ohio to GW until AFTER Kerry's concession speech at like 2:30 on Wednesday! What is that all about???? Never can be too careful!! I guess CBS should have thought about that.
Anyway, Pango and Tom, let us know when you guys will be in Baltimore.....perhaps we can fit it into our busy schedule of soccer games, school functions, social engagements. etc..... Just kidding , we really have nothing going on until oh say ,,,, Thanksgiving....
and Girls(Julie, Laura, JenLynn, Stargazer) I know for sure Julie and Laura have friends who sell jewelry. It is pretty safe to say you all do.....these days....I was hoping I could send you some pictures of my stuff. I get lots of great feeback from people here but it might be nice to have some other people look at it. We are selling quite a bit, in fact, since sales is my background, I can sell bracelets anywhere I go. I just sold one at the bank yesterday. They love the name of my business, Pink Pearl Designs, at the bank and always ask what type of business when I go in and deposit checks. I have sold a few there in the past 2 weeks. So let me know if you would be willing to be an objective eye every once in a while. I am having my first show on December 5th and want to make sure I have something for everyone, not just the stuff I like. I don't want you to post your emails on this site if you don't want to but if you coudl send me a quick email, click below, I will reply with just a few pictures every now and then. Thanks so much!
Ok-I have to go decide whether I am "sick" today or not. Talk to y'all later!

Have a little bit of time here to post as our systems have all gone down for a while. (Might be the day).
Wow... what a crazy couple of days for you guys in Philly. HG... you need to relax and post. I find it very therapeutic.:jester: It's kinds funny about your ultra competative friend. We had (i say past tense cause we are no longer friends) that was the same way. Luckly, we were not the ones she was overly competative with. I think cause she just recognized we were vastly superior in every way!! No but seriously, she really went after it with another of the mom and her son. I just don't get some people.
Has anyone else children had trouble adjusting to the time change?? Madalyn is still on DST. She will fall asleep @ 8:00pm and wake up at 6:30am. This is basically her sleeping pattern will on DST. It's kinda funny she is completely wiped out by the end of a day. Teddy seems to be fine, he just wakes up a little earlier then he use to.
Teddy and I have some cub scout activities tomorrow so that should be fun.
And see how it is... Philly Jen will come down here to baltimore when Tom and Pango are here, but no other time. :snooty: See you don't need us on the cruise. Tom and Pango have it all covered. :hyper2: Of course Pango posts less times then a gimpy horse. and Pango's Queen even less...
oh and yes CG... one can say the biggests expense is alcohol consumtion, but really as expensive as it is for alcohol on board thats not hard to do. I need to know how big the bar tab is going to be. ie. Mine had to be special delivered as it would not fit under the cabin door. :faint:

COWBELL
I have been asked about the Cowbell skit, and even though it is not as funny unless you actually see the skit here is the transcript from the skit.
Behind The Music: Blue Oyster Cult
Bruce Dickinson.....Christopher Walken
Eric Bloom.....Chris Parnell
Buck Dharma.....Horatio Sanz
Alan.....Chris Kattan
Bobby.....Jimmy Fallon
Gene Frenkle.....Will Ferrell
Announcer: After a series of staggering defeats, Blue Oyster Cult assembled in the recording studio in late 1976 for a session with famed producer Bruce Dickinson. And, luckily for us, the cameras were rolling.
Bruce Dickinson: Alright, guys, I think we're ready to lay this first track down. By the way, my name is Bruce Dickinson. Yes, the Bruce Dickinson. And I gotta tell you: fellas.. you have got what appears to be a dynamite sound!
Eric Bloom: Coming from you, Bruce, that means a lot.
Buck Dharma: Yeah. I mean, you're Bruce Dickinson!
Alan: It's incredible!
Bobby: I can't believe Bruce Dickinson digs our sound!
Bruce Dickinson: Easy, guys.. I put my pants on just like the rest of you - one leg at a time. Except, once my pants are on, I make gold records. [ the group laughs ] Alright, here we go. "Don't Fear the Reaper" - take one. [ exits into the control booth ]
[ the group begins the song. Bobby slaps the drums, Eric jams his guitar, and Gene bangs on a cowbell. ]
Eric: [ distracted by Gene banging the cowbell ] Okay! Wait! Wait! [ the group cuts off their instruments ] Bruce, could you come in here for a minute, please?
Bruce Dickinson: [ stepping out of the booth ] That was gonna be a great track. Guys, what's the deal?
Eric: Are you sure that was sounding okay?
Bruce Dickinson: I'll be honest.. fellas, it was sounding great. But.. I could've used a little more cowbell. So.. let's take it again.. and, Gene.
Gene Frenkle: Yeah?
Bruce Dickinson: Really explore the studio space this time. I mean, really.. explore the space. I like what I'm hearing.
[ the group starts the song again, as Gene bangs more wildly onto the cowbell while dancing crazily. In the booth, Walken is smiling to keep from laughing. Before the session is interrupted, Frenkle misses a beat on his cowbell.]
Eric: Okay, wait! Stop! I'm sorry. Bruce, could you come back in here, please?
Bruce Dickinson: [ stepping out of the booth ] Fellas.. now, we just wasted two good tracks! That last one was even better than the first!
Eric: Well, it's just that I find Gene's cowbell playing distracting! If I'm the only one, I'll shut up.
Buck Dharma: It was pretty rough..
Gene Frenkle: You know, I could pull back a little. If you'd like.
Bruce Dickinson: Not too much, though! Fellas, I'm telling you - you're gonna want that cowbell on the track!
Gene Frenkle: You know what? It's fine. Let's just do this thing.
[ the band starts the song once more, with Gene banging the cowbell right next to Eric's ear until Eric pushes him, causing Horatio Sanz to fall ]
Eric: [ stopping the song again, fighting Gene ] Come on, people!
Bruce Dickinson: [ running out of the booth again ] That.. that doesn't work for me. I gotta have more cowbell!
Alan: [ grabs Gene's shirt ] Don't blow this for us, Gene!
Bobby: [ cracks up ] Yeah, quit being so selfish, Gene!
Gene Frenkle: Can I just say one thing?
Bruce Dickinson: Say it, baby. Say it.
Gene Frenkle: I'm standing here, staring at Bruce Dickinson!
Bruce Dickinson: The **** of the walk, baby!
Gene Frenkle: And if Bruce Dickinson wants more cowbell, we should probably give him more cowbell!
Bruce Dickinson: Say it, baby!
Gene Frenkle: And, Bobby, you are right - I am being selfish. But the last time I checked, we don't have a whole lot of songs that feature the cowbell.
Bruce Dickinson: I gotta have more cowbell, baby!
Gene Frenkle: ..and I'll be doing myself a disservice -- [begins to slightly laugh. Jimmy Fallon turns away and bites down on his drumstick to keep from laughing] -- and every member in this band, if I don't perform the hell out of this.
Bruce Dickinson: Guess what? I got a fever! And the only prescription.. is more cowbell!
Gene Frenkle: Thanks, Bruce. But I think, maybe if I just leave.. and, maybe I'll come back later, and we can lay down the cowbell. [ starts to leave the studio ]
Bruce Dickinson: Aw, baby..
Eric: Gene, wait! Why don't you lay down that cowbell right now. With us. Together.
[ everyone agrees ]
Gene Frenkle: Do you mean that, Eric?
Buck Dharma: He speaks for all of us.
Gene Frenkle: Thank you.
Bruce Dickinson: Babies.. before we're done here.. y'all be wearing gold-plated diapers.
Alan: [ confused ] What does that mean?
Bruce Dickinson: Never question Bruce Dickinson! Roll it! [ exits back to booth ]
Eric: [ ready to lay the complete track down ] 1, 2, 3, 4.
[ the band starts up again, this time Frenkle is playing the cowbell in tune with the band. Close-up on Gene as he bangs the cowbell to freeze-frame with graphic: "In Memoriam: Gene Frenkle: 1950-2000" ]

Holy **** - are you serious????!!!! Um - I am totally capable of this - that's what I am worried about.
Hey, as for this and Girls(Julie, Laura, JenLynn, Stargazer) I know for sure Julie and Laura have friends who sell jewelry. It is pretty safe to say you all do.....these days....I was hoping I could send you some pictures of my stuff. I get lots of great feeback from people here but it might be nice to have some other people look at it.
Is that me? Because I would be happy to look at it. Buy, now that you would have to work on, but window shop - yup, can do.
OK - so you all have slacked off a bit here. How many pages do you want to get to by the cruise time? I am trying to do my bit.
My son had a hard time for about two days with the time change. He is OK now. Funny - those are his normal hours. He goes to bed by 8:30 - 9:00 pm and wakes by 6 am. He is 2 1/2. He is in day care and they take a 2 hour nap and I think he doesn't need that long of a nap in the day anymore so that affects his sleep at night.

don't know who else may be on this thread, but DH and I are scheduled to be on the magic on 4/29/06 also. Didn't feel like reading all the posts tonight. Maybe later since I now know there is a "my trip" thread.
It is going to be just DH and I - munchkinless
Our first cruise was in April 2004 on the Magic and we decided to take the same one and do some of the stuff we didn't do last trip. Last cruise I was celebrating a "big" birthday. It was the best.

Castlegazer, yes, sorry! I meant all the girls on the thread. And I don't want you to think I am asking for help so you will buy! I want to get feedback! Thanks! Send me your email.
LSUtigger2-you might not like us if you go back and read all the posts! Save yourselves the horror! We all cruised in May of 04 on the Magic so we have some frightening stories to share....;) Welcome!
OK Tom, I did my part by posting a Heidi length novel, you can't just cut and paste from SNL and think you have done your part for the day!!!!
HGP is right here and he says Hi!
Hannah had her first "sleepover" party last night I missed her terribly. I was sleeping when the "Michigan drunk dial" came through, but I shot out of bed thinking it was the parents who were hosting the slumber party! I was so relived it wasn't I missed your call-sorry!
JenLynn and Julie, I sent you both some pictures. Your honest feedback would be great!
Soccer tournament today(if you can call it that-2 games in a row!) it is a beautiful sunny fall day here so I am going to get my day started!
Enjoy today everyone!

PJ -- be glad you missed the drunk dial. Wow!! I will have to make my way to Michigan to meet these crazies!!! I was actually scared this time!! :scared1: and BowTie fears no one!!pirate: And i Agree.. Tom talks a big game about wanting this thread to be hopping, but cut and pasting a google search is just lame. What up with the eagles??? They looked like they were all hangin with Ricky Williams :smooth: before the game.
Welcome LSUtigger!!.. I am not officially booked on this cruise, but it is almost a done deal. LSU... What a game a couple years back huh!!!!
Oh and CG... I am dead serious that the bill didn't fit under the door, so they put it in 2 envelops, but you get the picture. If you think you can hang, then bring it, cause these guys talk a good game, but at the end of the day... they are asleep!!

Joseph,
Don't be afraid my friend we come in peace, and live by the motto of NO FEAR . I think though that I might have to apologize to you, as the crew was rip roaring and ready to go on Friday night, in fact we might even be able to get Diver Dan (he has added another word to this, but I don't think the moderators would let it fly) to post. You talk to Pango and Pango's Queen, Doc and Doc's Queen, and then even Dans wife Lisa (Joe you even found out about her famous trick). Philly Jen you might have wanted to take that call afterall, remember we won't bite unless you want us to, and come on Patrick quit being lame and turn into Head Gear before we have to come to Philly also.
Castle Gazer, we do talk a big game, but unlike Joe we need sleep at sometime, his bill had to be that big he never had an empty beer mug that I ever saw. When I would yell across the pool he always had Kadir with him filling that mug. I can promise that if you want to have a drink, someone will be there with you at anytime of the day. Our drink bill I think was about 350, but we did bring stuff onboard with us also, as did Pat and Jen because we did some major damage to their stash the last night.
LSUTigger, You have my coach, and we want him back. After you read all this I hope you don't get scared away, I think we are a pretty fun group, but you will have to come aboard and find out for yourself.
JennLyn, you owe you husband big time, as much as I begged he would not wake you up friday night, you are a lucky woman.

Also, just because I cut and pasted something I get flack, I see how you are going to play now, game on.:teeth:

Well, BTJ & JL...I wish I could say that Pango and TT will be on their best behavior when they arrive at your doorstep, but I don't think I could keep that promise. The things they have on their agenda for the day, are a bit scary, so WATCH OUT!!!
As for Friday night...well...what canwe say?? We are a fun crew! The phone always seems to come out around the time my memory goes away. Right Julie??? Oh I forgot, you donl;t remember that either!!
Sorry JL..we promise to be better next weekend! Only because the girls have two soccer games on saturday. But I can't promise we won't be calling from the Saturday afternoon tailgate at MSU?? It gets crazy!
Come on crew.....I think we should all crash the the Tuggle's upcoming Disney getaway! Anyone in??? They donlt have anything to do the first 5n days they are there except have soome quality family time!!! We can certainly bring that to quick halt!
Pango's Queen is missing her Pango today...he is off to Indiana for a few days. If he is not a Hoosier...does that make him a Colt..YUCK! That might even be worse!

You are all welcome, the more the merrier (I have heard that phase before haven't I wife), can someone say 14 DAYS, for 11 nights. Thanksgiving dinner in Japan, the girls picked this and what the heck, nothing like Sushi for a traditional Turkey day dinner. We haven't been to the parks in over a year, for a family of Disney freaks it has taken its toll, the May 1 cruise was fit in there, so that did help tie us over a little bit. We will be back in the big O the first week of April for Spring Break and then again in late October of next year for the:drinking1 Food and Wine festival, and one and all are welcome to join us. :grouphug:
We should probably have a roll call here pretty soon, maybe even a website?

Laura... funny you mentioned crashing the tuggle's disney trip. JL and I were just discussing :chat: possibly heading down around the time they will be there(I think). Dec 1 - Dec 6... You still in Disney then TT??? We were thinking if we could get a good deal, we may surprise the children. This is a bit dependent on weather or not JL can get the time of school :teacher: and if I can take some vacation time as well, but it would be fun!
What the Pango man in Indiana???? Man made me do a shot and left.. Drinking tequilla over the phone... what a friday night!! :cool1: You need some company Laura?? pirate:
No appologies needed TT. I couldn't stop laughing!! What a great group of friends you all have :grouphug:. I look forward to meeting them!! I think I will make a trip up to MI... Just need to find a day that will work. The Holidays are going to make it just crazy real soon and if we squeeze this Disney trip in, it be even crazier.
CG.. some background from our May 1st cruise... I met a waiter name Kadir. We met Day 1 and he noticed I was carrying a 2 way radio, so after talking for a bit we synced up channels and he told me any time I needed him just call!! so Kadir, Kadir... I need a beer! :drinking1 became my battle cry. And I would always get a response asking where to bring it. And thus the reason for the overly inflated bar tab. So while the MI group swears by Jamaica James, Kadir is the man!!!

Joe,
Are you waiting to be begged, we are leaving on December 3rd, the towncar service is picking us up at about 5 p.m. so if you are there from the 1st on we will be able to see you. We are going to be staying at the Beach Club Villas, so start making the plans and let us know. I am actually going to Florida this Sunday for a business trip and won't be back until next Thursday and then we turn around and fly back out on that next monday for 11 nights, can't wait to have the family at the World.
Anybody else out there thinking about spending Thanksgiving at the World let us know.

Nope... No begging necessary. I just put in for a quote for a couple of options on rooms. Plane tickets are very cheap since we will fly down on a Wed and come home on Mon. This is actually partly your doing also though!! JL has wanted to go during this time of year to see all the christmas decorations and stuff. And you raving about it the other night, perked my interest as well, so since this is not a busy time of year for Disney, we figured would may be able to get a really good deal.
We shall see... We should have the quote tomorrow and then JenLynn will still need to check with her school to see if she can get the time off.
We never do last minute Disney trips, because part of the fun is all the planning, but this seems like a nice little surprize for the kids.
I will let definitely let you know if we are going... Or maybe just surprize you down there also. :teeth:

Alas it doesn't look like we will be able to pull of the last minute trip to DW. :( DU came back and said the only rooms they could find during that time was in the Grand Floridian and that was rather pricey! The Disney site has some rooms in the Moderate and Value resorts, but the deal is not really that good, so I think we will pass this year. Not really a loss, as you all can see trying to thow a disney trip together in just a few weeks is not very logical or easy, but it was just an idea. I thought it was suppose to be a non busy time in Disney during that week, but I guess I was wrong.
So we will stick to the plan of going in June '05 and we may possibly add on an '05 Christmas season trip. That along with the April '06 cruise and that is alot if Disney. That is if we go on the cruise with you all.
Late night again, because my fantasy teams have players playing tonight. Doing well so far!!
Have a great night/morning all!!

BowTie,
I can't believe that they would be totally booked during that time, you might want to try calling Disney direct, that is what we always do. There are some other websites that sometimes have codes to help you book also, PM me if you are interested and I can send them to you. We have thrown 2 last minute trips together in the past and I have to tell you it was two of the best, 2 years ago over Thanksgiving we went and stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge, (one of our favorite resorts) Disney decorated for Xmas rocks.
If you are not able to go, we still need to figure a time to get together, Pango and I are not going to tolerate you throwing this "if I cruise with you guys" thing around much longer. BTW I lost my football last night, could someone throw the ball to Reggie Wayne, or could Minnesota leave O. Smith in the game all the time.
Lets see some activity today, I am stuck at my desk all day doing paperwork, at least you guys could give me some sort of outlet.

Oh, that is COOL- dangerous, but cool. My problem is that I love having Pina Coladas on the ships. Those can rack up after only two.
LSUtigger2 - unlike what has previously been posted - I would like to clarify, that I alone, was not on that infamous May voyage. Although, apparently I missed out big time. This will be my first voyage on DCL - we have been on manya a cruise prior to this one.

I'm Back!!! ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::
You may or may not have noticed my absence on the thread lately...although I've been busy keeping up on reading everyone else's wonderful posts, I am having some serious writers block this week! The funny, witty sentences are just not flowing from my brain these days! But I decided that it would be better to pop in and say hi, even if it's not funny, than to not say anything at all!
So Hi    everyone!!!
BTJ, sorry that I didn't come to the phone the other night:sad2: I can't handle the pressure when someone sticks a phone in my face...plus by that time I had already had six (or was it eight) of my favorite kind of beverage (you know the one :D) and there was no way that I could carry on any kind of an intelligent conversation!
PJ, where have you and HG been lately  You must be busy making jewelry...I haven't forgotten about you...I'm planning on emailing you back with my thoughts (they're all good).
Castlegazer, you're gonna love us :grouphug: We are a fun bunch! And lsutigger2, hopefully we haven't scared you away yet...we really are nice people!
JenLynn, we haven't heard from you lately either...you must be on a serious scrapbooking binge!!!
Pango...where are you man? I know that you are back from the Hoosier state so get your butt over to the computer and enlighten us with some Pango-isms! If your lovely Queen can post (remember the old days when she thought we were freaks for meeting people on the internet?) then gosh darnit you can too!!!
I've got a big evening planned for tonight...Tom is out of town on business so my friend who owns the local movie theatre (Lisa, one of our cruising buddies) is going to drop off a large buttery bucket of popcorn to me (payment for watching her kids for an hour) and I am going to park myself in front of the TV and watch The Bachelor and Wife Swap!!! I can't wait...I'm very excited...it's a great night for a reality TV junkie like me (Thursdays are good too)!!!

SHE LIKES US, SHE REALLY LIKES US JOE, JENLYNN, PAT, JEN, STEVE, LAURA, AND JULIE .
Darn just as I was taking a look at how this was going to look, then my e-mail popped up and someone replied to the thread, wife you trumped me, you don't show up for a week and then when I am getting my creative juices going it is to late. Even worse than that is I am in the Lobby of the Hotel in Holland, MI because the signal for my computer isn't strong enough in the room, so I guess I will be running back and forth to the lobby all night to check the posts. I can at least check my Crackberry for e-mails to see if anyone has posted so I am not just hanging in the lobby all night. They already warned me that I am not permited to be there in my underwear, even though as my girls know that it is just Daddys pajamas.
Joe how was the principals office? Just like you remember it, or has it changed? Were they wearing the same outfit that your wife has in the closet? Alright I had better stop before the moderator reprimands me. My Queen was right where the heck is your wife, I need a little Jenlynn wisdom tonight.
PhillyJen (or is it Jennifer) don't start acting like your husband, you had better post something profound, like why do they call them apartments when they are all stuck together?
Castle Gazer, you had better be careful because we have been known to grow on people, as Stuart Smally would say "I am good enough, I am smart enough, and gosh darn it someone likes me".
LSU Tigger, I hate to say it but he is going to do it to you guys to. Nick Saban is going to be the next Head Coach of the Miami Dolphins, I know he denied it, but he did the same thing when he left us for you. We haven't heard from you in a while, are you still out there?

Hi guys! I too am suffering from writers block. It is a cold day here and I am still in my PJ's at 3pm. I guess the moms at the bus stop would frown upon me showing up twice today in my pj's so I'd better get moving!
HG will post after tomorrow. He has an interview tomorrow. NAme of company withheld to protect the innocent. Just kind of feeling the waters, hasn't interviewed in 6 years so it should be interesting. I don't think the job is what he is looking for but you have to pretty much know or sleep with someone important to get an interview with this company so he feels pretty good that they at least called him. I wonder which it was, know or sleep???  Anyway, I am sure he will be relieved tomorrow!
Out for Indian food tonight. I have been surfing the web all day for which type of wine I should bring the hostess to go with Indian food. Apparently, A marriage without strippers is like Indian food without wine! I read that today. I am still cracking up over the insanity of it all.... I still can't decide whether I should bring wine???? I mean, I wouldn't bring strippers into our marriage, knowingly anyway....
OK- better go get showered! Cause my hair seriously looks like this::crazy: Maybe not so red!

Yup - I think I do.
Anyways, I do keep up with the thread. I too have precious little wittiness to expunge from these finger tips on a daily basis.
I fear there is no way that Kadir will still be on the ship in 2006.
OK, all you parents, we just finished parental nightmare number, oh damn, I think I lost count, anyways, it was a *****. We just finished constructing a play center - you know, those monstrocities in the backyards, with spiral slides, swings we only dreamed of when we were young, rock walls, and forts. No more metal swings with the bases swinging into the air every time you pumped your little legs too much and risked taking off into the air. Not for my spoiled child - no siree. My 2 1/2 yo - yup, 2 1/2 and he gets this thing, only deserves the best death trap on earth. Oh, how many ways he can kill himself on this thing.....
Did you all also splurge on these things - mind you we bough it at BJ's (you know like Costco for all you midwesterners) and didn't buy a multi-thousands of dollars one. But it is HUGE. I had a fort when I was little with a swing attached, but this thing, man, it is cool. It has taken us sooo many weekends to finish - and we still haven't finished the slide.
Did you construct it yourself if you have one? He better remember that we did this for him.

Wow! Everyone must have had a busy weekend because here we are on page two again!!!
We took the girls to the MSU/Wisconsin football pounding on Saturday...what a great day! The Spartans clobbered the Badgers, it was cold, but at least sunny, taught the girls the ins and outs of tailgating (they liked the beer better than the Jack Daniels!), enjoyed the first half of the game, but then had to leave because Lindsey had a double header indoor soccer game. I'm proud to say that she scored one goal in the first game and had a hat trick in the second game...her team played awesome...they're really starting to get the whole "teamwork" and passing thing! Finally!
Tom left for sunny Florida yesterday morning...he gets to spend four days there (he says he's working), come home for four days and then we all get to go back in SEVEN days!!! That's right...seven more days until we're enjoying turkey (make that sushi) with Mickey!!!
castlegazer
11-15-2004, 11:15 AM
Sounds like a fun weekend. I have a Spartan's hat - I like it because I like Michigan State (my Dad however, went to Michigan), but it also has just an S on the front which is the first initial to my name.
I used to play indoor soccer - it made me feel like my lungs were bleeding and this was in my prime days of playing soccer in college about 12 years ago. I played indoor for a very professional co-ed team and league down in Atlanta. Man, that was the toughest sport I have ever played and I was a college soccer player and Lacrosse player. Its great exercise - that's for sure.
We did have a super busy weekend - although, you will rarely find me here at the DIS on weekends. We got SNOW friday!!! About 7 inches if you can believe it! It also stayed, unlike most first snows that melt that day. It is still with us. I hope this is not a foreboding sign of things to come. I love snow, but we have leaves still on the ground in our backyard that are in desperate need of raking.
We also had new windows installed. COOL!!! We have had really good luck with contractors in our home improvement saga thus far. I am doing the upstairs bathroom next month - hopefully our good luck streak in maintained.
So that's our weekend in a nut shell. Oh, forgot to say we also did some test driving of minivans - I am moving into this car segment. I currently drive a Jeep Grand Cherokee and its just not big enough its super sad to say.
Anyone have minivan advice for me.

Yep, fellow travelers, I'm still around! Been out of town - HAD to go to Anaheim for a conference and just happened to stay next door to Disneyland. It's just not the same as WDW but still fun. Took a group of 7 to spend time there on Saturday afternoon/evening. A couple of them had never been to a theme park! What fun! All had a good time and I have pics to prove it!
B&R's Dad: Nick is ours and here's hoping he stays for a good long time! We go through the "is he going to leave?" stuff every year. Hadn't heard that he denied that he was going to the Dolphins. I'll ask him Sunday when I sit next to him in church!
Take care all - Later

I haven't been on the thread lately because i didn't want to get my hopes up that we'd be able to join ya'll on this cruise and then have those hopes dashed by a change in plans. But, i have been working hard on convincing our gang that the 4/29/06 Eastern is the way to go ... and i think i have got just about all of them convinced .... still need to work some "JenLynn magic" on Camera Chris and the wife. puckerup:
I am exhausted now ... today and tomorrow are parent conference days at school and i had to work 12 hours today ... talking to parent after parent about their children .... by 7pm i was brain-dead! :headache:
I am bummed we aren't able to make the WDW thing work for early December (was looking forward to seeing all the Christmas decorations), but BowTie has said that we can take a nice long trip in June '05 so i am excited about that! Maybe next December.
Hey Philly Jen, i meant to tell you that i loved the jewelry pics!! Great work! I love all the beautiful details you add to them.
Oh Laura and Julie, one of my selling point for this cruise (to my friend Kathy) was that her daughter Lauren is the same age as Lindsey and Madelyn ... other girls her age!
Hope everyone is doing well ... i think i am off to collapse into a deep sleep (at least until i have to get up tomorrow morning and do the parent conference thing all over again) .... and parents- please be nice to your child's teacher on conference day!! :teeth:

I was so nice to my son's teachers - and granted its much different for a pre-schooler than a school age child - that we got all the parents to revolt against the conferences that were scheduled at night. We all didn't sign up and instead talked to the teachers on our time during their work hours.
We all felt it was unfair to keep them at night to discuss what was our responsibility to be informed about.
I know its totally different when he gets to school, but just thought I'd tell you that I fully respect the agony you must go through to have these conferences.
Question of the Day:
OK - so all you May cruisers (and LSUtigger2 too), tell me what is your favorite cruise drink. Now see, I would know this had I cruised with you all before, but since I didn't I will need to start from square one. If you want to add where you like to drink it at on the ship to make it more fun for you, please do.
As I said before, I am a Pina Colada gal and having not been on the Magic prior to now, I can't make a reference to a point on that ship, but I loved sipping them in the beautiful adult pool area of the Grand Princess and on our balcony and on the back area of the ship..... hell, I liked sipping them wherever.

Okay, I guess I'll go first. My DH and I are not "big" drinkers. An occasional one now and again are good for us. I did have a Konk Kooler at Castaway Cay and it was pretty yummy. Could go for more of those.

well, bowtie joe is a beer drinker, through and through. occassionally he will do something harder, but beer is his drink of choice. (thus Tom's permanent image of BTJ with the refillable beer mug in his hand). :cool1:
as for me, i love all the fru-fru drinks! pretty much anything with an umbrella and some fruit stuck at the top is wonderful. i like the drink of the day (is it the sail away special?) that is the strawberry daiqueri and pina colada layered. and nothing beats Kadir walking along singing "Ole Ole" with a tray of Bahama Mamas in his hand. Oh, and yes, i like the Konk Kooler. And although we didn't go to Paradise Point and try the real thing, BTJ made me one of their wonderful drinks when we got home (what is that one called?). Oh, and i had several delicious Melon Balls at dinner on semi-formal night (i was feeling fine that night!). :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1
Umm... but believe it or not, i am not a big drinker!:teeth:

I really like melon balls too. I haven't had one in years.
Well, it goes without saying that I am not much of a drinker now too. But I am of German descent so I am pretty much a beer drinker too when not pregnant.
I don't want a bill that doesn't fit under the door, though.

:drinking1 Well castlegazer, you've finally brought up a subject that I know a little bit about!!! Not that we're a bunch of lushes or drunks (well, maybe we are), but we spent a good portion of the cruise sampling all of the yummy drinks. On the "at sea" days, our favorite place to be was up on deck 10, overlooking either the adult pool or the goofy pool...this is when we usually had the drink-of-the-day...these tasted even better when we could beat-the-clock and get them two-for-one! Everyday there was a different drink (Bahama Mama, Cool Breeze, Rum Runner, etc...), but they all tasted about the same...I myself am a beer drinker at heart (didn't do the refillable beer mug like BTJ because I prefer bottle to draft), but I did feel the need to drink the tropical drinks by the pool.
We did the Wine Package with dinner, but probably wouldn't do it again...we split it with Pango and his Queen, so it was a little bit more economical, but sometimes after drinking all day we really didn't feel like drinking a bottle of wine at dinner...we needed to save ourselves for the Rockin' Bar D after dinner! That's where we went back to drinking our "usual"...beer for me, Jack & Coke for Tom.
We did the Wine Tasting on Sunday afternoon...it was fun.
On the semi-formal night we went to Palo (not to eat) after dinner and just sat at the bar. We enjoyed the atmosphere, had some laughs with our friends, and had fun talking with the bartender...he was spilling Disney cruise secrets to us while he was making us drinks!!! I don't even remember what we drank up there...we just told him to whip us up something and he did!
The Bushwackers at Paradise Point in St. Thomas were AWESOME!!! Unfortunately they made Pango a little bit sick (not bad ingredients, just tooooo many drinks). We also enjoyed the Konk Koolers at Castaway Cay. Another cool thing at Castaway Cay was beer by the bucket...I'm pretty sure it was Corona and we got 4 or 6 bottles (can't remember) in a bucket of ice...our awesome server Natalie (from Rockin Bar D) was our beach server that day and she even gave us her bottle opener and let us keep it!!!
And last, but certainly not least, I can't talk about drinks on the cruise without mentioning Headgear Pat's Key Lime Martinis...they were delicious...in fact, we have tried to order them since then, but they are never as good as HGPs were!!!
While it may seem like we did a lot of drinking, our kids were always well taken care of...our older girls loved being in the kids clubs (it was hard to get them out of there most of the time) and our two year old was with us or with my parents (who also cruised with us), or in Flounders Reef Nursery (really only a couple of the evenings so we could go out)...So don't take us out of the running for Parents Of The Year...we still qualify!!!
FIVE MORE DAYS! FIVE MORE DAYS! FIVE MORE DAYS!!!
We're going to Disney in five more days!!!

Hi gang,
I know I have been absent from the boards for a few days. I guess no one missed me because I haven't seen too many posts at all!
I guess it is time to end the charade of Head Gear Pat. I know you all loved hanging out with him, he did make good drinks. But that is all he did well.
It pains me to say this, but actually I hired him to come on the cruise with us. I didn't think the pictures would look as good with just me and the girls. We needed a man to fill out that family pic. So, a few months before the cruise, I went to the local bartending school and put up a flyer in the back asking if anyone wanted to be "hired" for a week to pose as my husband. He called, seemed to be pretty sane, so he was hired. Not a bad l@y either.
I know this sounds freaky, but hey, this is what you get when you make friends on the internet. And Tom, one of the reasons why he didn't want his picture on the Three Circles website is that he is wanted in the state of KY for a few minor felonies.....nothing real big except that issue with the barnyard animals.... But that is a whole different story. And he swears it was legal in KY at the time....
So I'd appreciate it if we could just stop calling for HGP. It is just me. Cute little me(ok big). HGP won't be joining us in 06- probably another 1-800-dial a dad will have to do.
I hope you guys understand, we didn't want to hurt anyone. Again, I did it for that invaluable Embarkation photo, that I will of course treasure forever.

Now that is just a way to wake up on a Friday! PJ - you must have been drinking again last night!!
I haven't been around either. Been a little hectic the past few days but JenLynn has been stopping by. And as she said, beer is my drink of choice. If it wouldn't screw with my typing ability (being a computer professional :badpc: it's rather important that I type), I would have my Disney beer mug permanantly fixed to my hand. pirate:

This is Teddy's game to go and he is very excited!
cg - Julie will have to expand, but Tom had mentioned something abotu getting the drink of the day specials 2 for 1. Tom being quite the sales man, I'm sure, won some type of bet on this.
I will post later this evening on the drink stuff, since this post is already getting long.

Alright, it has been quite a while since I have posted something (well not as long as it has been for Pango, Pango's Queen, HG Pat, and of course all of our lame cruisemates, except for you PotJuicer), so I need to get this thing off page 2 because we are not page 2 people. BTW can anyone say 1 Day , before we leave for the World, I am sorry to rub it in but since State lost to Penn State and the Lions will likely lose today it is all I have to look forward to.
As for drinking on the ship while I am no expert, I have trained to become one, my favorite would be the drink of the day wherever I am at that point. The mystery of the 2 for 1's will now be solved so everyone get ready to take notes, I do consider myself quite a salesman (thanks Joe for the reassurance) after all I did talk my Queen into marrying me. There was never an advertised special in the navagators or anything, we would end up on Deck 9 or 10 and say to James from Jamacia "What is the Special" he would tell us and then let us know that up until 2 that they are 2 for 1. It was usually a two hour block of time either from 10 in the morning or starting at noon, and I believe it was only on days that we were at sea (another reason not to go on the Western, more days at sea).
Philly Jen, I am not buying the hire a husband thing, because there is no way a babe like you picks a guy at that age with Braces. Tell your boy Ralph that if he doesn't acknowledge us soon we will post the Tongue Monkey picture, I am sorry but he leaves us with nothing else.
Joe and Jen, have fun with Teddy at the game, sorry I have been deliquent on my drunk dialing, but you should know that you can expect numerous calls from the BIG O in the next couple of weeks. I am also glad to hear that since Joe couldn't get it done that you JenLynn have taken over the convincing of the Cruise thing to your friends, if you want it done right get a lady to do it (at least in my house with all these women that is how it works).
CastleGazer, stick as close as you want I think you will find that we are not that bad of people to hang with at least I am sure that there are worse.
LSU Tigger2, I hope your right about Nick, but if you do see him in Church tell him it is 86 degrees in Miami today. I am sorry if I sound bitter but I think some people would call him a Carpet Bagger, enjoy it while it lasts. BTW I thought I saw a post of yours over on the DVC board, are you a vacation club member?
Diver Dan and Lisa, there is a name for you guys, we call them Lurkers so you just keep reading and then e-mailing us with all your updates and we will introduce you when we get on board.

B & R's dad: Have a great time at WDW! don't you just love those long trips! Yes, we are DVC'ers. Just love it. Our last trip was at VWL for 9 nights in mid-Oct. It was the best. It was also warm in BR today, so no need to tell Saint Nick (as he is known around these parts) how warm it is in Miami. My hope is that he is happy here and would much rather work with college kids than spoiled, highly paid pro players. Only time will tell. Fans around here have to remember how many years we would have been really happy with an 8 (hopefully 9) and 2 season.
Hope to meet you on the cruise!

OK - people who check in from WDW are either too cool or really need to get out on that lounge chair a little more and order up some more drinks.
Turkey day was fine. Typical stuff. We stayed in our home city for all four days which was wierd. We are always traveling somewhere. It was a time of leaf raking, house cleaning, movie seeing, and basic nothingness that was well needed.

I am always exhausted from our trips to WDW. I am a frantic mess too.
Our last trip was for one day - yup one day. Talk about trying to squeeze in too much. Prior to that it was a four day trip - again trying to squeeze in too much.
We usually go to be at the beach - we have always had a condo out in Cocoa Beach - and that is where we vacation and then pop over to WDW for a day or two each trip. The last few years are the first time I actually stayed on property post childhood. I am feeling a big L popping up onto my forehead. I am now addicted to staying on property though. I am in love with the FtW cabins.
My father was a commercial real estate broker - hence how I became involved in commercial real estate - and he invested in Cocoa Beach back in the 70's due to NASA. Smart move until NASA started to falter. He set up trusts for my siblings and myself which included condos there. Thus I have always owned a condo in Cocoa Beach. However, I had to sell mine in college so now we all just say we have one... but its really my sister's now.

I think the FTW cabins are the best deal on property. You get a full kitchen which is very nice with full fridge - think of the beer stocking - full microwave (not just a tiny one) and a full oven with tons of cabinet space. YOu then have a nice dining area, a living room with a full murphy bed and a back bedroom with a full bed and bunk beds. You can usually get the cabins for about $179 a night during code periods.
You also get a HUGE deck with picnic table and an outdoor grill. You are surrounded by woods - not other people. The cabins are well shrouded in greenery so you can see or hear your neighbors. Its very peaceful and beautiful.
People complain about the pools not being themed but they are nice and very close by. Plus they smell strongly of jasmine - its pretty nice.
My only complaint would be having to take buses internally in FtW. But it can be rectified by renting a golf cart - but that gets expensive at $40 per day.
As for the condo, well, here's a further story: It got completely destroyed in Frances. I mean completely wiped out. Its on thetop floor of the building overlooking the ocean and the pier at Cocoa Beach. The windows blew out and the storm blew in. There was sand in the upper corners of each room and hte wind sand blasted the paint right off the walls in big long sheets. My sister and her husband are there now trying to just clear it out for a complete re-build. So maye by the time 2006 rolls around they will have gotten their insurance checks and finished the construction. But I am not betting on it.

:cutie: I'm Back!!!!!
It seems like it's been forever!!! I don't have a laptop so I didn't have the privilege of posting while on vacation (though I did look over Tom's shoulder while he was posting)...you may say that he had too much time on his hands if he had time to read these boards, but when you are at WDW for 11 nights you have plenty of time to do other things!!! He says that I ran him around like a wild man the whole time, but in reality we only had a few really long days (about three 10 hour days, which is a lot for us :crazy2: ), and the rest of the time it was a few hours in the parks and a few hours at the pool, and a few hours enjoying a good meal! Do you see a problem with that??? Besides, if you are paying to go to and stay at Disney (which we all know isn't cheap), wouldn't you rather "enjoy" Disney than to sit by the pool all day??? Believe me, I am all about down time at the pool :fish: but if I thought that we were going to spend our whole vacation relaxing (like Tom wanted to do) then I would have rather gone to a relaxation resort (on the beach somewhere) and not to Disney! Even with an annual pass (so you don't have to go "Commando"), Disney isn't the most relaxing place on earth! The most magical, yes, ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo but not the most relaxing! After 12 trips, you would think that Tom would have known this going into the trip...apparently he didn't!!!
It has been a crazy couple of days since we got home...one soccer game, one Brownie parade, one Brownie field trip, one pizza/drinking party at Doc & Lesia's, one hair appointment (mine...desperately needed) and about 15 loads of laundry!!! Tom's right...I did cancel playgroup (who can really host a playgroup at their house less than three days after an 11 day vacation?), but it's not like I've been sitting on my butt (well, naked in the mirror it looks like it has been sat on quite a bit) all week!
By the way, I got a really cool Mickey ring when I was at WDW (it is cool, isn't it Laura?)...also got the usual stuff...photo album, 2005 calendar, x-mas ornaments, DVC shirts, etc...
Glad to be back (I missed all you guys...potjuicer if you are reading this you su*@)...but also wish I was still there! We had an awesome vacation!!! Hard to believe that we are going back in 114 DAYS!!! I know that we are crazy to be going over Spring Break, but with the whole annual pass thing we can really pick and choose our times to go to the parks...plus we are going to Vero Beach (with our DVC points) for a few days too! Should be another great vacation!!!

Joe,
We had some friends stay in the cabins and they really enjoyed it, but you have made an excellent choice my friend in the Animal Kingdom Lodge. It is probably are second favorite resort behind Beach Club (have to say that after the large investment into the vacation club), in fact we stopped and had lunch there just after Thanksgiving so the girls could see all the animals. I took some great footage of a giraffe that was about 20 feet away eating off a tree, and don't forget to go out by the campfire at night so you can use the night vision goggles to see all the animals.
The first time we stayed there, when we got to our room we went out on the balcony and there weren't any animals out on the savanah. So I closed the slider and we got ready to go exploring the resort, as we were heading out the door Lindsey our oldest saw a giraffe and started running to the balcony. Unfortunately she did not notice that I had close the glass door, and ended up hitting it at a full sprint. After making sure she was O.K.(just in case family services is reading this) I laughed as hard as I ever had, I just wish I would have been video taping it so we would be 10 grand richer.
PhillyJen, you got nothing?
Headgear don't bother.

B&R's Dad: Yes, you did warn me, on Nov. 10 to be exact!! I told my DH, who is a Tom also (isn't that your "real" name?!) that I was going to go back and search the board and find where you said he would go to the Dolphins!
Your written words: 11-10-04
"LSU Tigger, I hate to say it but he is going to do it to you guys to. Nick Saban is going to be the next Head Coach of the Miami Dolphins, I know he denied it, but he did the same thing when he left us for you. We haven't heard from you in a while, are you still out there?"
Many folks around here are mad, hurt, etc. I'm sure you know the feelings. But life goes on and there are worse things (homelessness, wars, poverty, etc, etc) in life.
Thanks for being kind and not rubbing it in too badly! By the time we cruise, he'll be finished with his first year. We should have lots of things to talk about!
Hope everyone had a great Christmas! and be careful around the New Year! We want everyone on the cruise!!

Ahhh, what a busy holiday!!! Think we did about 300 miles of driving over the 24th and 25th. Good thing we picked up that new mini van. :moped: That's right, our poor SUV needed some new brakes so you know what that means... New brakes = New car. :jester:
Hope everyone enjoyed the holidays. It appears everyone is safe... Now just be safe and enjoy New Years as LSU said, we want everyone on the cruise!! :drinking1
Thank you Julie... I think, but I didn't think I looked liked the little pig in babe.
PJ - how soon we forget... TDS.. (This doesn't suck) list. The MI crew started this on our May cruise and we added to it in the days after... remember, remember??? Either way.. Tom can't really give HG a hard time, seeing how he can't even get his "friends" in MI to post. Heck even Mr and Mrs Pango have jumped ship. :guilty:

Tuggles Michigan friend that is finally on board. I'm not so lame, Tom just had to help me. We are looking forward to this trip. We have a great crew... Looking forward to meeting you all. The Brat Pack is coming up north this weekend so watch out Bowtie we will try not to call.
I'm not sure I can be as clever as the tuggle family. But atleast I made it on board. So leave my buddy alone. What about Diver Dan? Where are you?????

HAH!!!
BowTie I do have friends that are willing to post, now lets see if you can get Camera Chris to step up to the plate (or computer). Pango is looking over my shoulder as I am typing this right now, so here is his famous Buffett quote for the New Years Holiday " There's something about this Sunday
It's a most peculiar gray
Strolling down the avenue
That's known as A1A
I was feeling tired, then I got inspired.
And I knew that it wouldn't last long
So all alone I walked back home, sat on my beach
And then I made up this song. " Wow is this guy got it going or what, his queen sure is lucky.
Doc's Queen it sure is nice that at least someone who did not go on the first cruise with up has stepped up and joined in. Now we need Diver Dan and Little lady Lisa to get on board (or at least on the boards) and do something. Doc is still sleeping at 11 a.m. the little feller had a rough night and needs his rest for the big night tonight. Get ready for the calls everyone on the phone list because they are coming tonight.
Philly Jen, quit protecting your man and let him pleasure all of us with his posting, and I still have not recieved the Key Lime Martini mix. C'mon man get with it and give me some CowBell!!!
Happy New Year Everyone.

Good Morning all!
Welcome to the Tuggle friends. Happy New Year everyone. Tom and Julie, hope you are feeling alright after the procedure. The term "procedure" is probably an understatement, I have had a few of those myself and they are always more involved than the word might let on....
:cheer2: I have some exciting news....My brother in law- who's Suburban HGP puked in on the way home last time, just finished the Disney Marathon today! He has been training for about a year, this was his first one! We are all so excited for him. :cheer2:
BTJ- I understand the new brakes thing....our car got a flat tire and I was out searching for a new car...(I don't have to search far, I know exactly what it is I will buy when the big day comes). When you work in the auto business, windshield ding=new car.....brakes=new car.....tires=new car......needs to be washed=new car.....We have never had a car with so many miles on it and I am starting to panic.. Does that mean I have become a reasonable adult? I hope not.
We went skiing last week. HGP has become "Extreme HGP" :cool1: - he learned to snowboard after never skiing before or boarding. The girls took lessons and loved it. Now-all we need is a little snow here in SE PA and we will be all set! Needless to say- HG had 1 one hour lesson and the only cure for him was more cowbell(in the bar with a 20 oz beer at 10:30am). A bushwacker I am sure would have tasted better! Ooohh-- how about a bushwacker coffee? Yummy!
Off to exercise-my NY resolution which has lasted exactly 1 week so far!

Ok Ok... BTJ returns... Ahh Julie!! I dream about you every night! :love2:
It has been a bit hectic hear. Welcome little lisa and Doc's queen!!! I look forward to meeting you soon. TT speaks highly of you and you have stepped to the plate. :cheer2: Now who was it that offer to tie my bow tie in a certain oral fashion.
I am really developing a hate for all things electronic. :badpc:
My freakin home theater is acting up and can't quite figure out why. The sub woofer doesn't seem to accept input so there is no bass to anything we watch. Everything was working fine until this week when I decided to upgrade everything to monster cables. Can you believe the cables cost as much as the componets. Fiber optic this, digital coax that, 24k gold contacts on everything. When I brought the bag home, I told JenLynn there was more gold in the bag then in my wedding band. And now it doesn't freakin work!! I am getting that feeling again... subwoofer not working = whole new home theater!!
We are continuing our work on our friends here, and will still hopefully join you all, but if not I will be here all the way to your sail date!!! pirate:
And what up with the freakin playoffs... Almost all visiting teams win this weekend  Ahhh thats the NFL for ya... next thing you know Detriot will be in an SB... Congrats Ed Reed #20 Defensive Player of the Year!!!
Well TT glad you survived!!! Just wear those tighty whites proud!! :jumping4:
And what the "you know" with this error on this boars too many images... Freakin computers!!!!

B&R's Dad: I think that is part of the problem. It really is far away. And while I'm excited about having a cruise to look forward to, there are so many things going on in between times. I'm sure as time get's closer, we'll be more active.
Since DH and I weren't on the last cruise that most of you went on, I'm feeling a little "out of the loop" - and that's okay. I completely understand that. But I don't always understand some of the stuff written about.
A request if anyone is interested: Share a bit (as much as you feel comfortable doing) so some of us that are new to the group can know a little bit more about you and those who will be joining you on the cruise.
I'll begin:
It will be just Dh and I. DH is 45 yrs old and I'm 50! Yes, I robbed the cradle! Actually celebrated my 50 on the Magic. It was wonderful. He loves to golf (although probably won't this time, but he did last time). I just enjoy!
We live in Louisiana, but DH is from southern Illinois.
Anyone else??

Page 2 stinks!!!
LSU, you are right, there are quite a few inside jokes going on and for that I apologize, but all is open ask and the questions will be answered. The last cruise included the Queen and I, Pangos, Bowtie and JenLynn, and PhillyJen and the never heard from Head Gear Pat, also I forgot Mermaid Patty and Mike (page 2 or 3). Then this time we will have 2 other friends and families joining us from our hometown, Little Lady Lisa and Docs Queen, so that is sort of the history of whos who.
The whole group from our town is staying up front of deck 7, just to give you a heads up, we have been known to enjoy a cocktail or 6 from time to time, so this area of the ship could be interesting. BowTie and JenLynn are stuck trying to get all of their gang on board, that is why they are taking so much flack from myself, we need BowTie on board.
If you have any questions, let them fly.

I'm a newbie to DCL cruises. Not a newbie to cruising. I like Pina Coladas, and getting caught in the rain (no really, I do).
I am ready to pop any day now with my second child - a girl who will be 14-15 mo's old for the cruise depending on when I pop (our son will be turning 4 right before the cruise).
My husband and I are in our mid 30s.
I am inundated with work as I try to wrap up and get ready for leave - so sorry, I can't keep up the thread - you all are up to the task, though.

We had a small group of 3 families with us on the May '04 cruise where some of the "inside" jokes are coming from. You won't find the others from our group here, but JenLynn and I (BowTie Joe) will be around. As TT (aka B&R's dad) has mentioned we are stilling working on our group, so we will see how things go.
We have cruised Disney twice now, but the first was a 3 night done as part of a land and sea. That wasn't near enough time to enjoy the ship. It was great to meet B&R's dad along with his queen, the Pangos and of course PhillyJen and her MIA husband Headgear Pat. I have been know to part take of a beer here and there. :drinking1 We live in Maryland and are big Ravens fans!!
Oh and you may wonder how I got the nick name Bow Tie Joe... I was goofing around on our thread from the May '04 cruise and said something about not needing clothes for vacation, but that I would where a tie for formal night. Next thing I know TT had labeled me BowTie Joe. pirate:

The key is ask him where he just going to wear his BowTie when he was naked? That is why he is the one and only BowTie Joe :drinking1 !!!
Now if you really want another story ask Philly Jen why we call her husband Head Gear Pat. :rotfl:
