Tiggerandpooh, we have not yet decided if we are using FL Tours again, or if we will rent a car this go around...we will likely be using FL Tours, and might rent the car for the return to WDW after the cruise for one night before heading to the airport Sunday morning (EARLY!) DH's cousin lives in Cocoa Beach so we may drive up to spend some time on Saturday (following the cruise) with her.

Well, with the "stacking" of discount codes that was going on with Disney Direct a few days ago I ordered Trevor's costume. It arrived today, and he has been smiling every since (in fact, he has not taken it off!!!) He is beyond excited. Seems he is more excited about the costume than his upcoming birthday trip to WDW this week (well, one thing at a time for a child that young!)

Just ordered Steve a costume too, now just to get my coordinating costume (whatever that may be--I'm going to wait and see if I lose any weight before getting a costume.)

Have any of you tried booking Palo online lately? There are NO brunch times available for prebooking at this time, and no dinner being offered either. WOW!

Okay, well we are just over 60 days!!! I can't wait.

Hmmm... I was thinking of checking INTO the Radisson after we dock on Saturday so we can hit the Space Center, but if the lobby is a mess with people trying to get out for the next sailing maybe it's not such a good idea.:rolleyes2 . Any other suggestions for a hotel close to the astronauts? We only have Saturday there and fly out Sunday morning.

I'm rethinking this "wench" thing also. Too much room in the suitcases, me thinks. pirate: I'm gonna need the room for all the bling-age I'm gonna be toting home :rotfl2: .

We're heading to the beach today. Can't let this 85 degree weather pass us by. Flip flops, fish tacos, few margs, boogie boards .... yup, sounds like a pretty good day to me. Happy weekend to all!

I booked my Palo dinner online the other day...it was either Saturday night or Friday night only...I took the Friday night because I just can't miss eating there...I know I would be sorry.

Happy Saturday!!!!

Katrina - what a pretty name for such a savage storm. :confused3 Hope none of you guys were affected by it.

Kudos and :worship: to all of you have already gotten their Halloween and pirate costumes. Wish I were as efficient. Guess I'll have to start concentrating on that soon.

Have a great weekend.

Oh, don't cancel Palo. It really is worth the experience. It's just a really nice night out with more personal service than you'll get in the dining room. The food is really, really great. I'm not a fancy person at all and I like to stick to old favorites, but Palo is my welcome splurge. It's also really nice to be able to have a peaceful dinner in a quieter more relaxing atmosphere than the dining room. Not to say the dining room is bad or anything; it's just crowded, a bit noisy, and you're basically having what everyone else is having.

It's your first DCL cruise - experience as much as you can. :)

I'm still up in the air on whether to do a costume for myself. I might do a t-shirt type of thing - just a funny Halloween type shirt.:confused3

Trish - Could not have said it better myself!

I agree 100% with what you said about Palo... quiet atmosphere, personal service, etc. It is definitely a "don't miss" experience on any Disney cruise.

Anyone who cancels may be punished by walking the plank!! pirate:

I just booked the Captain Nautica's St. John snorkle adventure through Disney. Have any of you ever done this one?

I am working on booking the Anguilla Dolphin swim directly with the dolphin discovery company (saving a lot over Disney's prices) and hope to have that one confirmed Monday. Also Trevor can do this one and cannot with Disney directly.

Those are the only 2 things planned. With the Captain Nautica's snorkle we are back to the ship by 12:00 noon so we have the rest of the day to enjoy St. Thomas. I hope the kids clubs are open EARLY for Trevor (he's too young to go.)

Well I'm not sure what I did but I booked a 3 star DownTown Disney resort ::MickeyMo through Bookit.com for $59.00 a night. I won't know which resort it is for another 48hrs but the ammenities that are listed are very impressive :teeth: , and it is inside the Disneyworld resort area. Keep your fingers crossed for me and I'll let you know what it is as soon as I find out. It looks as if the courtyard Marriott is the lowest level hotel in the area so I think we'll be pretty happy whichever "resort" it turns out to be.
Does anyone know how much a cab ride would be from MCO to Downtown Disney?

Good Morning everyone!!!!

Is anyone from our group in the New Orleans area?? Please be safe!!!!!

Went to see 40 Year Old Virgin last night, has anyone else seen it yet??? I thought it was funny but then again I have a weird sense of humour.

Just booked the Pinel Island tour, we weren't going to do any "guided" tours but decided we really wanted to do some snorkleing and not have to bring stuff from home.

What other tours are you all planning??? We just have that and the Paradise Tramway.

A few tours on St THomas mention going to the Mountain Top. Is that where you get the Bushwackers??? I was thinking of something on St Thomas as well and if it includes the Tramway then I can cancell that one.

Hope you all enjoy your Sunday.

Yes, you can leave your kids on the ship and they will NOT be able to leave on their own. Nobody under 18 can get off the ship without an adult.

And yes, the Bushwackers are at Paradise Point. There are also shops, as well as a bird show... and the view is awesome! :earsboy:

I don't care for the bushwackers myself, but, they sell beer by the bucket! :cool1: :cool1:

Let's see, what are we doing? On St. Maarten we're most likely going to see Marigot, check out those French beaches ;) and just look around...the island, that is. :teeth:

On St. Thomas, we're renting a cuddy and snorkeling around St. Johns - hoping to go further around St. Johns than we did last time.

On CC, the teens are doing the Wild Side, but we're still "stuck" with 2 - so we are hoping if they meet some new friends onboard who are going to be with the kid's clubs on CC, then they'll want to spend some time with them there.
That way mom and dad can check out Serenity, have some booze, and just hang out. At least for a little while.:sunny:

We are we are!!!!! We are going to surprise our daughter. Her birthday is October 30th and will be 6. I saw a post about someone looking for a playmate. She will practically live in the Oceaneer Club, is very outgoing, and would make a great playmate for those with others her age worrying about finding a friend. She loves to make new friends. She is going to be so excited, we are not even telling her before we leave. We travel alot so when we start packing she will just think we are going away to another hotel. When we pass the port and she see's the "Mickey Boat" as she calls it, she will say for the 1 millionth time "I wish we could go on the Mickey Boat again" and we will say "Okay, get out and let's go".

I can't wait, hubby is going this time (didn't last time) and our Aupair from Hungary that is living with us for a year.

Rachel, one more thing, I noticed you posting this earlier message. When I last went with Saralinda she was 3. I think I had asked for early seating and we ended up with late seating. I kept it late because in the end, it was actually better, and we have requested late for 10/29 as well.

Since you have the late seating you go to the show earlier, when she was more alert. Then after we had our dinner, she would go back to the club most nights where they can wear their pajamas and fall asleep (if only she would.....a dream is a wish yada, yada.......) if they want on a mat w/blankie and pillow to Disney movies playing in the background.

That's a great pic. of Kyle, can't send you one of Saralinda, because I don't know how to use the scanner :guilty:

Be sure to PM me with any questions, we loved our last cruise and can answer any questions you have.

Trish, thanks for the post. I am afraid I have no idea what Tot'g is....I never read these posts the last time we went, so I'm not up with all the lingo, although I have figured out DH, DS, DW...the easy ones.

We are in a guaranteed 12 category, so I do not have our room number yet. I guess I won't do until the day of. Wish I could be rich like Beano, can't afford those lovely suites, but I can dream. We are actually going to get there 2 days early this time instead of one, so we could get an AA miles flight, and are currently staying at Radisson, although we are checking out other places, and don't know if we will go to WDW while we are there, but it would be great. Anybody know how far it is from the Radisson to WDW? We won't have a car so that means a taxi, which if it's too, too far, that means mega bucks.

Feel free to add us though to the list of people going if you like though. It's me, (41) Hubby (43) Saralinda (5 then 6 on Sunday), and our Aupair from Hungary Judit (25). ::MinnieMo

Are we too old to party????? Never know how old everyone is with these things.

Age-wise, I think we're in a varied group. I'm 39, hubby is 42. I read back through the threads a few weeks ago (had time to kill) and found out there are a lot of us on this thread who were married in 1989 (we're February, 1989). Pretty cool. Popular year for marriages, I guess. Or just that time in a marriage where you need to go on a cruise. Who knows.:confused3

welllll...busted....actually, for what we were paying in babysitters and finding good babysitters (the last one got the sack after coming home a little after 9:00 p.m. and finding her asleep on the couch.....) the aupair in america program is cheaper. We'd have to pay a big lump o cash for the suite. She get's a weekly stipend, and works up to 45 hours a week with 2 days off during the week. So just what we were paying before for a babysitter an hour for 2-3 times a month, we are now getting 45 hours a week for.

I am sure that we will Trick or Treat because this will be the first year she doesn't get to go tot'g w/her best friend. I wouldn't want her to miss out, that's why I cancelled my Palo's for that night. As I mentioned, Saralinda has no idea, so I will pack a costume for her. She has always wanted me to dress up, and I just might this time. If ever there was a place I could get away with a costume, this would be it. I won't look out of place because there will be so many people dressed up. I called DCL and asked them about activities. They said it would be a "family tot'g" which means I would need to go with her, and you would go from venue to venue to get the treats (theatres, other meeting areas) and there would be no tot'g in the clubs, but that they would be having parties. There is a contest for the best costume, most original, most "Disney", etc....

And speaking of the most fabulous restaurant ever PALO's!!!!! I have tried unsuccessfully to book a brunch. Anybody out there booking a large table who wants an interloper to join them??????? That shrimp and crab is to die for dahling.

Comments so far on what I have read, other than some of you guys are nutters (but lovely nutters): What's a bushwacker? I would like to do the gondola ride too, but we are not planning many excursions, thru many Carnival cruises, it's been there done that, but would love to go to this party in the suite. Loves to drink beer though, so surely he will fit in with some of you guys. Did we ever get the info to order the shirts? Sometimes this board moves too fast for me. Got my formal dress out last night and I need to take it to the cleaners. Started putting all my "cruise clothes" on the opposite side of the closet from my everyday clothes..woohoo!!

Beano - I love my widget! It is great to watch anytime! I also found one for Dave Matthews Band..I think I am Wigetaddicted!

I wonder if Tim survived the hurricane? He lives in Boynton and they had some power outages there. TIM! Do you need a rescue generator?

I am still taking orders. At this time all that I need is how many shirts you would like and in what sizes. There are adult and children's sizes available. I am giving the preliminary orders to the printer next Tuesday. Once they are printed I will PM you with the specifics on how to pay - she will ship them directly to you. Please PM with your sizes if you would like to order.

Welcome TomTO!! Info on meets and other stuff is on page 1, post 13. If you have children that want to partake in the Trick or Treating (our own DIS one - separate from DCL's), let us know - we're still taking the head count.

Lynne - hopefully, some Palo brunch ressies will open up before the cruise, but make sure you check again soon as you get onboard in case they don't. People like to cancel last minute, too. (not me, though ;) )

Good luck to those in Katrina's path - looks like it was downgraded to Cat 3. At least that's some good news.

Adding Canadians to the ship - that's great! Now no matter what happens onboard, we can all blame Canada. http://hometown.aol.com/kabob1966/images/canflag.gif

Hi, Everybody!!!!

This is the official last call for t-shirts. I am placing the shirt order on Tuesday the 6th of September. I know that we have alot of newcomers, so for anyone that is interested you can see the designs on page one of this thread, post 13 (thank you Trishy :goodvibes ).

The designs will be printed on lime green t-shirts, and you may choose either the color or B&W design. The B&W design is $12.25, the color design is $16.00. They come in adult as well as children's sizes:

Children's

XS (2-4)
S (6-8)
M (10-12)
L (14-16)
A child's XL would be an adult S

Adult's

S
M
L
XL
XXL

Once the shirts are ready, I will PM those that have ordered the info to contact the printer. She is a very nice lady and you can call her directly or go to her website. She accepts MC, Visa, personal checks, and through her website she also accepts PayPal. She will be mailing the t-shirts directly to you. They should be to you by the end of September, barring any unforeseen delays.

If you would like to order, please PM with the number of shirts that you will need, the sizes that you will need and which design you would prefer. Please have the orders to me by Monday evening (the 5th). If you have questions, please feel free to contact me. I will do my best to get back to you in a timely manner. :teeth:

For those of you that have already ordered, I am looking forward to a great group photo either at the port or the Sailaway Party. :grouphug: I can't wait to meet everyone!

Hi to everyone that gave us warm greetings. Any other Canadians out there? Maybe WE should get a t-shirt made :rotfl2:

Nope, no kids travelling with us. Just myself and my friend. We're actually heading over to WDW for 4 nights after we get off the cruise. That should fix my appetite for Disney for a while. Well, at least a month maybe!

I'm a wee bit concerned. After becoming addicted to these boards, and trying to catch up on everything, is there still going to be an element of surprise?

good morning all,

i hate to rain on all the excitement but, i was wondering if you all could spread some pixie dust for my grandmother as we found out she has melanoma cancer on her nose. She will be going in for surgery on friday, so i am a little depressed today, cause i have lived with her all my life, and hope she makes it through ok. She is 86 years old but does not seem a day over 40, she does everything around here, laundry, makes my moms lunch for work, helps us with our kids, makes dinner...she is the best...

I hope everyone in katrinas path made it through ok, i was watching the news yesterday and seeing some the pictures it was horrible...

Is it really 59 days away, wow i cant believe it, We will soon be meeting all the faces behind the screen names and posts, maybe ill wear a paper bag over my head to hide my identity :rotfl2: . like i said before i will be a little shy at first but i get comfortable i will be better, and even after a few drinks, i might be the life of the party... :rotfl2: :cool1:

Hi everyone, and I hope everyone is safe from Katrina, saw some terrible news reports today.

When it rains, it pours, (guess I shouldn't use that one) transmission problems, $5,500. A/C not working right, don't know how much yet. There goes my spa appointments......

TiggerandPoo: Hope that your GM will be all right. My mom died of breast cancer in '97, and they have come a long way with cancer treatments of several types since then. That's great about using your points to cruise. We are members of Westin Vacation Owners, which is sorta the same thing. Can't trade the villa points for a cruise, but can go to any of the villas.

Beano: Thanks for the invite, don't know if I will be able to find you guys to get my invitation. You and Tim should be great friends, because I won't bug him at all about how much beer he drinks, because I know he will not be driving, so he can feel free to have at it.

Still waiting on someone to tell me what a bushwacker is.....

Tenor: We are going to get along just fine....My DD Ryan is almost 6, has red curly hair, knows everything and is not afraid to let you know it! She may just be telling the captain how to drive the ship by about.....Sunday. God love the Oceaneers Lab staff - I hope they go with their A-game for this cruise!! :rotfl2: Can't wait for the girls to meet. It seems there are a lot of boys around 6 now the girls are making a come back!! :Pinkbounc

Plus, I also, just today, took my 2001 F150 SuperCrew, with 72K miles and 10 payments to go (no, not bitter here! :rotfl: ) to the shop for a new tranny.
When it rains it pours indeed!

Tarzanman: What's up with that!!? Geez, I love, love, love my truck. But 72K miles on an automatic tranny!!? Not holding you personally responsible but could you make a call and have that redesigned or something. :teeth:

So much for my bling bling. Guess I'll be driving mine.

I so needed my bushwhackers yesterday!! :drinking1 Looking at the pictures of Paradise Point helped...but it's just not the same. Mikes hard lemonade tried to ease the pain and disgust of the tranny situation, but alas.....no comparison. In the end disgust won out. And so did my bank account.

Hey, anybody want a good laugh... google up the calgon ultimate packing list. I think this couple must be olympic bodybuilders or else travel with an entourage to carry all of their bags. They start with fanny packs (does anyone still use those?) and pack a total of like 10 bags for the both of them. :earseek: Plus, do you really, truly need duct tape!!? :confused3
Or am I really going to pack 10 bags!!? :earseek: :confused3 :scared1:

OK-gotta get DH from train station. Having one car is going to be interesting. I hope he doesn't think I am getting up at 6 am to haul his happy rear to the train tomorrow!! :rotfl:

Can we go yet!!?

I can't believe that you dissed on fanny packs. I wear one as part of my Disney ensemble. Most of the people that I travel with rather enjoy that I carry stuff for them in it. It sure as heck beats carrying a backpack all day!

Okay, I admit it, I still use a fannypack sometimes. I used one when we were at WDW in June. Keeps stuff from falling out of my pocket on the rolly coasters.

Thanks Zachsmom, I think I will get a T-Shirt, I just love being part of a "gang". That's neat you live not too far away. Of course I can't tell Saralinda about all you guy's kids that she is going to meet, because of course she doesn't know that she is going yet.

I guess I can't complain too much about gas. Filled up yesterday at RaceTrac for $2.53, and most places were at $2.59-2.69 for regular unleaded today. Still better than England though, when we were there in February for my mom-in-laws funeral, the gas was over $6-7 dollars a gallon. It's so high there that they put the prices in litres instead of gallons to try and psyche everyone out about how much they are really paying.

Just got back from a friends viewing and funeral is tomm. Kinda sad. Could use a few of them there bushwackers.....

Happy evening to all.

Hmmmm. I'll never tell :smooth: .

Timmy started junior high (oh, middle school, excuuuuuuuuse me!) today. I was hoping for some sort of hint as to what he might be missing in October. No such luck. I REEEEEEEEEAAALLLLLY want to come out on Wednesday and practice with ya', RonnieJo, so I'm gonna have to start pestering the teachers for a work schedule now. (I'm gonna be one of those "damanding" moms - oh, I hate that. But, I have to know if I'm going to be writing any 7th grade English papers or not before we go :confused3 )

I do know how lucky I am that these are the major decisions I have to make right now.

As for all the outgoing 6 year-olds, Captain Cassie (7) will possibly be joining them in the Club. She will also walk up to anyone and ask, "want to be friends?" Not bad on the Magic, but it was a little embarassing when she did it in the grocery store to strangers ("Can I come to your house and play with your toys?" - and no it wasn't last week, she was 4.) Anyway, she generally has most of the Club "as her best friends" before the second day.

Finally, I guess I'll leave my fanny pack at home since Tim's bringing his - and from what I remember it holds a lot! Can you hold my wallett too?

DID you all see this?

Staggered Dining Aboard the Disney Cruise Ships - Earlier this year, the Disney Wonder cruise ship began experimenting with staggered dining times. Seems the test period is over and staggered dining is now here to stay! In addition, the new dining times will be tested on the Disney Magic from October 29, 2005 through January 28, 2006. If you have the early seating, you will be dining at either 5:45 p.m., 6:00 p.m. or 6:15 p.m. Cruisers on the late seating will be dining at either 8:00 p.m., 8:15 p.m. or 8:30 p.m. Times can be requested but are not guaranteed.

INTERESTING~

Yipeeee DS goes to school today..... :flower: Here we go off to school with a blank cheque. ;)

We already had a teacher call last night, good thing was I could advise him that Kevin was going to miss 3 days of school. Our high school here has a week break the last bit of Oct and the first few days of Nov so he will only miss 3 days but the girl will miss 8...yikessss :earseek: We are lucky though she doesn't even give an effort and gets really good grades so it should not be a problem. Only thing is the teacher she has this year is the one everyone dreads so we will see how this goes ;)

We have been told 8:30 but where not aware of staggared seating so I guess we will find out when we get there. :confused3

Count down to camping....I really don't mind it but we only have a tent this year and I am too old to sleep on the ground, and since we traded in our gas guzzling van we don't have alot of room to bring stuff. I volunteered to stay home but was outvoted...lol.......Oh did I mention it was 3 days 2 nights with DH's family.... :earseek: :rotfl2:

Well better get the boy up for school :rotfl:

Have a great day!!!

MORNING!

We had a bad internet rumor go around yesterday that they were closing Port Everglades and no gas would be coming in, but diverted to NO...so, there was a nice run on gas yesterday. Didn't know about it till I went to the gas station and there were 20 cars in line!! YIKES!! I wish I lived in Wisconson!

I have early seating for dinner..does that mean I have to eat at the crack of dawn if I want to have a sit down? I think someone addressed this before, but I don't remember.

:wave2: Well I tell ya, with all these people homeless and stranded, and the funeral I just got home from, it really puts things into perspective how lucky we really are.

Cheri, here's my embarassing kid story. I was a nanny for a couple of years before I quit working after I got married. I used to tell the joke "does your face hurt?" she'd say no, and I would say "well it's killing me". Yes, you guessed it, she was in the grocery check out line with her mother and she asked the lady, "does your face hurt......" right away her mom said she was thinking "MISS LYNNE!!!!!!!" somehow she thought that one was on me....

:guilty: :guilty: :guilty: :guilty: Not on list on page 1 post #13 as going on the TOTing. :guilty: :guilty: :guilty: :guilty:

Would be happy to send a pic to add to the photo album, except I don't know how to use my scanner :badpc:

Saw a pic of them thar bushwackers, they sure look good. I am also a fan of the fru fru drinks, although I like Jack & Coke. Can't drink beer or wine, makes me desperately sick I am afraid. It's funny that I can't drink wine, but I can drink the hard stuff. Should I go ahead and reserve a time for the tram? Are all you guy's going at a particular time?

TomTo: Don't worry about missing the show for the 8:30. Disney staggers them so that while the early people are eating, we are watching the show, and vice versa. That helps because then people don't go and watch it 2 times in a row and eat up all the seats for people who have not seen it yet.

Can anybody give me any cheap and easy and cheap ideas for something for pirate night? For me and for Pookie. I agree with Beano about the staggered times for dinner, would rather go to early show with Pookie and then go to dinner. But I guess for people who skip show (the fools) and want to eat just that tiny bit earlier, don't wanna rain on their parade...

If anybuddy has extra dvd's of your last get together, send me one.

Sorry Lynne - I slacked off on the job. http://disboards.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

I'm not so sure about this staggered seating time. Shame they have to start it on our cruise. On DCL I never saw a problem with people getting into the dining rooms at one time. On Princess, now that's a different story. Bunch of 80+ year olds, hungry, cranky, and screaming for their pork chops - they needed staggered seating.

Expect some trickle down effects of Katrina in more areas than just gas. :guilty:

Hello everyone!

We just booked our spot on this cruise last night! I am really excited to be going on a HALLOWEEN cruise! This will be our 4th Disney cruise, but first halloween.

In case you are wondering who "we" and "our" are my name is Stacy and my boyfriend Shelby. We just decided to go on this cruise about 5 days ago and, as i said, booked last night, and are really excited!

Since we decided to maybe go on the cruise I have been lurking this thread and i saw a few posts about T-shirts. i know you probably get bombarded with questions about them when new people post, and I am going to add! :teeth:

I was wondering how much they were? and also i believe I saw that the order was going to be put in on Sept. 5th, am i correct? and finally how do we pay for them?

Sorry for all the questions and thanks in advance! :pug: :pug: :pug:

Barb - I will change your reservation from the piano to the tub. Please bring some good, fragrant bubbles... the bathing suit is optional. ;)

And for all of the newer people on this thread, we are, of course, kidding about the "wild-ness" of this party.

Sometimes.

luckey- my Cassie is going to be Jasmine as well. Hmmm I think I see confusion in the future ....

and Beano is right. The party is NOT wild. We mostly sit around and play Old Maid, drink Tang and tell Knock-knock jokes ......and I have a bridge to sell ya' :rotfl: . We are mostly harmless though. I don't think anyone bites. *** And the top of the piano is MINE. I don't think I could crawl under there afterwards anyway. :earseek:

Hey, I heard that people have been told that thye can't ship wine to Fl from out of state. On our Mexico cruise, a few people told me they had ALWAYS shipped a fair amount of party supplies ahead of them and Disney held it in a wharehouse and delivered it to the stateroom. anyone with any info???????? This could be important !!!!!

Hello all you potential new friends. :wave2: Oops, I guess I should have said all this last post. You guys tell me if you want me to quit posting so much. I love all the pictures that you guy's have posted, wish I could show you a picture of my Pookie.

Ronnie Jo: I LOVE MONK!!!! It's on tonite. I hate ironing. I told DH before he married me "I don't do ironing" Well, unless it's an emergency. I have literally washed stuff again and put in the dryer to get out the wrinkles instead of ironing. Desparate I know, and more time consuming than ironing, but I REALLY hate ironing.

DDNut: Wish I had your connections, will hopefully get A/C fixed today, but now on day 3 1/2 no A/C, house up to 90.

For anyone who may be interested. I found 2 sites that were some fairly cheap pirate stuff. On www.buycostumes.com, I found a First Mate pirate costume for DH in the bargain bin for $29.99 item 12888. Other stuff too.

On www.fantasycostumes.com, I found cheap pirate bandanna's, there are pirate eye patches for $1.99, and I bought me a pirate pouch for $4.99 to keep my KTTW card in and other accessories. They also have cheap costumes.

I have a question. Isn't this pirate thing a party up on deck 10 at night, or is everyone dressing like this for dinner? If it's just a party, then Pookie will be in the Oceaneer and I don't need to spend the money on a costume.

Cancelled some spa stuff if you want to take a look. :guilty:

Talk about a reality check. We drove when we went to WDW a few months ago and stopped for a lunch break outside of Biloxi, Miss. at an Appleby's. The Appleby's is now gone with Katrina.

I understand that y'all like jokes. Here's one I hope you like.

A professor at Texas A & M University was giving a lecture of the supernatural. To get a feel for his audience, he asks, "How many people here believe in ghosts?"

About 90 students raise their hands.

"Well, that's a good start. Out of those of you who believe in ghosts, do any of you think you have seen a ghost?"

About 40 students raise their hands.

That's really good. I'm really glad you take this seriously. Has
anyone here ever talked to a ghost?"

About 15 students raise their hand.

Has anyone here ever touched a ghost?

3 students raise their hands.

"That's fantastic. Now let me ask you one question further..Have any of you ever made love to a ghost?"

Way in the back, Bubba raises his hand.

The professor takes off his glasses, and says "Son, all the years I've been giving this lecture, no one has ever claimed to have made love to a ghost. You've got to come up here and tell us about your experience."

The big redneck student replied with a nod and a grin, and began to make his way up to the podium.

When he reached the front of the room, the professor asks, "So, Bubba, tell us what it's like to have sex with a ghost?"

Bubba replied, "Shiiiit! From way back thar I thought you said Goats."

Just got home from our WDW trip. You all have been very busy (and I have a lot of catching up to do.)

MoranClan--that really stinks. I certainly hope that your employer plans on reimbursing you the cost of the cancel penalties at this point. What a jerk!

So we get to be the guinea pigs for the dining trials on this sailing. So depending on the restaurant you start dining in that will determine your dining time (on the hour, :15 or :30) I hope this alleviates some of the picture lines before dinner.

Well, turns out my passport (and Trevor's) were some of the ones in the New Orleans office waiting for final processing (it was supposed to arrive this week.) I have to go first thing Tuesday morning to get a new one processed and PRAY they get it done in time. Just my dumb luck though (although I am truly thankful that I do not live in that area and everyone that is affected by the hurricane is in my prayers.)

Well, we are down to 7 1/2 weeks to go!! WOO HOO!!

Your birth certificates are fine. Passports are preferred but not required for our sailing.

Bobby, Cindy and family - I'm so sorry your boss is a pr!ck - that really sucks that he can get away with that. Rachel - Birth certificates work fine, as long as they are certified copies with the raised seal, or (as it is here in California), on official 'blue and purple' paper. We finally broke down and got passports this year ( since we plan to go to Tahiti soon!! :cool1: ), but we have never had a problem just using good copies of our B.C.'s.

Well unfortunately our birth certificates were WITH the passport applications!!! So, either way we have to do something. We decided to go with passports because they are going to be required in the near future (originally as of Jan 1, 2006, but the timeline still has not been officially released, but it looks like Jan 1, 2007 now.) Steve and I are cruising again next year, so instead of messing with carrying around birth certificates on our trip we decided to get the passports now. Looks like a bit of a kink in our plans--fortunately my birth certificate and Trevor's are easily obtained (we were both born here in state) but if it had have been my husband's we would have had a real problem since he was born in another state that is FAMOUS for taking forever to get birth certificate copies out. So fortunately he had gone to a different office to have his done and it is in the DC area so he is not affected. WHEW!!!

Hi Everyone,

As usual, I have left it to the last minute. Does anyone have any idea if we can get the DIS t-shirts delivered to Canada? Cost? Hockeychic?

Thanks.

kim,

dgm did fine, she has to wait for the pathlogy report, she is going back to the doctor on thursday, thank god my dm is a nurse and she can put everything in english instead of medical speak... :rotfl2: thank you for your thoughts and prayers..

as far as your pic go to where besty posted it on this thread and go to edit signature there is and icon for insert picture and copy and paste the link to the little box that comes up and then just check to make sure there are no spaces and click ok and it should work and trishy she noticed the spaces in mine and i took them out and it worked
