Good Morning Gamers!
I'll throw out a dusty AAQ...
Where in MK can you find a reference to "Ilene Dover"?
Good Luck!

The queue area of the Jungle Cruise?

Ace - you got it! Man that was fast!
Yes, Ilene Dover can be found on the board listing missing boaters!
A hippo charging AAQ to you Ace!
BTW - My Dkids rode the Jungle Cruise Saturday, the skippers are shooting the hippos again!
I know for awhile that they didn't even have the guns on the boats!

In keeping with the Jungle Cruise theme, here's a bit of trivia for you:
Did you know that every Disney theme park has a Jungle Cruise, except Disneyland Paris?
OK, on to the question....
Who hosts the CyberSpace Mountain attraction in DisneyQuest?
smolensk
10-29-2004, 12:01 PM
Wow we are taking a walk in Disney's "5th" Theme Park.
I believe it would be Bill Nye.

I actualy meant to include in the question a reference to this person being seen in another WDW attraction, but yes, it is the wacky Bill Nye

(I'm filling Rx's as Winnie-the-Pooh this weekend)
Who has furniture on the ceiling in WDW?
:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:
Granny

Okay, in honor of halloween...an oldie but a goodie....
In what theme park attractions can you see depictions of ghosts, skeletons or dead people or things?
I'm not talking about people depicted who are now dead, such as John Wayne in GMR or most of the HoP. Looking for people or things who are "dead" in the attraction. :p
Granny
10-29-2004, 01:07 PM
Oops...WDW snuck in an posted a question too while I was typing!
I'll say that furniture on the ceiling would be a trademark of Journey into Your Imagination....Figment's house! :)
wdwtheplacetobe
10-29-2004, 01:53 PM
Figment---our Favorite Purple Dino! Of course, Granny!
To answer your question----Haunted Mansion and Pirates!
And how about Tower of Terror?

You've got dinosaur bones (skeleton) on BTMRR.
tink85
10-29-2004, 03:26 PM
In continuing the AK idea, isn't there bones in the queue area for Dinosaur? It's been awhile so i might be mistaken...
Granny
10-29-2004, 04:39 PM
Ace....I'm not counting headstones in this case...though it's a great guess!
Correct answers so far:
HM (wdwtheplacetobe)
PoC (wdwtheplacetobe)
ToT (wdwtheplacetobe)
Shrunken Heads on the Jungle Cruise(wdwtheplacetobe)
Skeletons/Mummies etc. in GMR(wdwtheplacetobe)
Dino Sue at DAK (MBabe)
dinosaur bones (skeleton) on BTMRR (shafke)

There are actually many more out there! Keep guessing!
And if I can't wrap this up today, I'll come back Monday to verify the answers.

Isn't there a "dead" caveman in the ice in the Ice Station Cool at Epcot. There must be some sign of death in SpaceShip Earth as well.
Ohh, and in the Great Movie ride the gangster dies and becomes a skeleton.
In the Snow White ride, that evil queen lady gets crushed by the giant boulder.
Granny
10-29-2004, 05:44 PM
I've never been inside Ice Station Cool...so can someone verify the caveman in the ice?
We've already got GMR, but that is another great example.
And I don't remember Snow White's ending...but I suppose we see someone in the process of getting killed? If so, that's close enough for me!
"Some sign of death in Spaceship Earth" isn't good enough! :p
Answers thus far:
HM (wdwtheplacetobe)
PoC (wdwtheplacetobe)
ToT (wdwtheplacetobe)
Shrunken Heads on the Jungle Cruise(wdwtheplacetobe)

In Mexico---the River of Time has a scene that depicts the Day of the Dead--complete with skeletons....
There are lots of bones in The Boneyard at AK....
Here's a S-t-r-e-t-c-h....there are "dead" trees in the logging camp of Kali River rapids....
Are there More, Granny?
 :teeth:

Not only that but in GMR there are also mummies nad a ganster gets shot in the scene when the ganster takes over the hosting.

How about the "Dinosaur Soup" in Ellen's Energy Adventure?
:D
Granny
11-01-2004, 08:05 AM
Oops! Sorry about that, I thought that's what you meant by cart! I think we have HM pretty well covered. The ones I am thinking of include one more at MK and two at another park.
Granny
11-01-2004, 08:28 AM
Ah, MBabe....I didn't see you sneaking in there while I posted my last post.
I think the caveman scene at SSE has either an animal on the spit, or wall pictures depicting a kill of an animal. Nicely done!
Dinosaur soup? Uh, no, that doesn't qualify I'm afraid! :p

......also, Fantasmic! Mickey dispatches the witch/dragon, and several folks are off-ed in the Pocahantus (sp) battle scene.
Several skulls and such in the opening sequence of Indiana Jones.
At the MK, along the exit walkway of Space Mt., do the excavation scenes include any bones?
How about skeletons in some of the scenes on PPF?
You don't actually shoot any living things at the Frontierland Arcade do you? Are there any skeletons in the cemetary?
I'll think on it some more................

wdw....I don't know if there are dead fish or not seen from the Liberty Belle. But it works for me!
ADaddy...you named one of the three that I was thinking of. The bones in the excavation as you're exiting Space Mountain. And I agree with the Indy Jones show...surely some of those people are in the process of "dying".
I don't know of any skeletons on the Shooting Arcade.
Stargate....the Mexico boat ride scene has already been covered.

Wow....a visit from the legendary supamaki, the Originator of the Parks Game thread! http://www.eunuch.org/vbulletin/images/smilies/Hail.gif
And unfortunately, I qualified the question as regarding only those things being depicted as dead. So though some of the presidents look like they're nodding off, none of them are being depicted as dead persons in the HoP.
The last two that I'm thinking of come from the same park. And it isn't Magic Kingdom. :)

Granny.... The Alien in Alien Encounter dies eventually doesn't he?
:)
Granny
11-01-2004, 01:33 PM
Sheesh! This question is way too morbid! In any event, we'll keep plugging along.
We never seen anyone in Star Tours, so I can't give credit to that. Sorry.
I know they talk about fossils as a fuel source, but did we see any fossils or bones in Uof Energy? I don't remember seeing them, but if we do, that would count.
And I am looking for current attractions, so Alien Encounter wouln't work either.
In order to bring this question to a close, I will say that the last two attractions I am thinking of are in World Showcase in EPCOT.

Things depicted as dead at Epcot in the WS.......how 'bout some of the battlefield scenes on the Great American Adventure?.........I've never watched the films in Canada or France, does one of them feature cadavers? It seems like Mexico would be out, I can't think of any depictions of death in Norway, Germany, England or China.......the oysters that you get to pull the pearls from in Japan die don't they? I'll go with those for now.
:earsboy:
MickeyBabe
11-01-2004, 01:57 PM
Oh... Addy I like the Oysters! I'll second that one Granny. ::yes::
How about the dragon St. George is Slaying?
:teeth:
Granny
11-01-2004, 01:59 PM
ADaddy...you got one of the other ones I was looking for. American Adventure shows battle scenes and I'm sure there are bodies in there somewhere!
And I guess the oyster guess is technically correct, but if we allow that then every restaurant is open for responses! :p
The last depiction I'm thinking about of a dead (or dying) thing is in World Showcase. It's not human.
Granny
11-01-2004, 02:05 PM
Ahhh....MBabe comes in and gets the last thing I was thinking of. The dragon at the feet of St. George. In fact, it is that image that triggered this question in the first place! Nicely done!

There is a replica of Steamboat Willie's boat in the Exposition Hall on Main Street in MK. One where you can stand in it and get your picture taken.
Also, I"m guessing there are boats in the movies of O! Canada, Impressions de France and probably Timekeeper.
And I just have to believe that there is a boat somewhere in MGM Studios' Great Movie Ride. Maybe in the montage at the end?
And is there one in SpaceShip Earth? Those Phoenicians really knew how to sail! :)
And there's a statue of a fisherman in American Adventure in EPCOT....his boat can't be far off, can it? Ah, wait a minute. Isn't Washington crossing the Deleware on a boat in American Adventure?

Thanks, Granny! I'll keep the theme going.
What sort of contest do the set of Streetmosphere 'plumbers' play for the entertainment of Studios' guests?
amandadaddy
11-03-2004, 04:59 PM
I've never stopped to watch 'em before, but I'll venture a few guesses:
....juggleing, tug-o-war, limbo, hopscotch..........I'm tempted to suggest something about plumber's crack......now I'm gonna have to catch these guys 3 weeks from today when we are back at WDW!
Greetings to all!
:earsboy:
Granny
11-03-2004, 05:04 PM
The contest I've seen a couple times now is where a member of the crowd names an object and four or so of the Streetmosphere characters each have to tell a joke using the object.
The joke is always...." A [object] went into a bar and ordered a beer. The bartender said, we don't serve [objects] in here, [punchline]. It's all improv and very well delivered in character by each of the characters. I don't know the name of the "contest".
Oh yeah, I almost forgot. The crowd acts as "judges" and awards the best joke teller the joke telling crown!
JamesD
11-03-2004, 07:29 PM
No, I'm thinking of a contest, or two similar to darts. There is no subjective judging involved.

Oh, typical me, I didn't see the word "plumbers" in the question!
I've never seen them playing a game, so I'll just take a few stabs...
See who can toss a penny into a commode from the farthest distance?
See who can throw a pipe wrench and hit the other guy in the head?
Obviously I have no idea. Does it include the use of plumbers' tools?
JamesD
11-04-2004, 08:54 AM
I've seen them play two different games, one involving a common plumber's 'tool' and the other is a game anyone can, and does play.
tink85
11-04-2004, 12:18 PM
I remember seeing one a long time ago - it was kind of a man of the year type of contest where three contestants tried to answer certain "plumbing" questions - of course a woman won and was awarded a plunger and a yellow caution tape sash - it might have changed by now though...
MickeyBabe
11-04-2004, 01:02 PM
:wave2: Hi Tink... nice to see you.
James... I'll guessss the plumbing tool they use in the contest is a plunger and that they have to carry or catch something in it, maybe water or water balloons.
Just a guess. ::yes::
:p
JamesD
11-05-2004, 01:18 AM
Okay, I'm going to close this question out. MBabe, you were the closest with the plunger guess. I gave everyone a hint when I mentioned darts. They play a game of plunger darts, where they try to throw a wet plunger and get it to stick on a board. They've also been known to play a dangerous game of miniature golf!
MickeyBabe
11-05-2004, 12:14 PM

Well, I didn't think I'd have to define a 'dark ride' on a Disney theme park board, but here it is:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_ride
It should be rides only, not shows, that are inside and in the dark!
Here's what we have so far:

Chilli-dog/burger/food
Ohh- and have a crack at this-
Name all the rides , current or past where you travel in a boat-like car
It might keep you busy-
Or maybe not-
I need something to do to make the timer fly, anyway

Flyboy gets the AAQ card.
It is a Chili Dog that he steals from a guest during the show.
IMO Stitch was OK. Probably C-Ticket level. If your child is afraid of the dark, loud noises, or being confined, I would advise not taking him/her on.

11-17-2004, 05:39 PM
