What was the first A-100 animontronic figure in the World?

Mickey_Maniac
07-24-2006, 07:24 AM
Would that have been Good Ole Honest Abe? At the 64 Worlds Fair?

disneycruise05
07-25-2006, 12:49 AM
Nope. While President Lincoln was one of the first audio-animatronics, it was not a model A-100. This updated technology allows for more compliance and move more like humans. The new Jack Sparrow figures in PotC are A-100's, it that helps.

I knew this thread was quiet for a few days, but I was too busy to ask a question and check back to confirm the answer. Since we already have one question, I'll throw out a second question to try to dredge up some more activity.

In what attraction would you find this license plate - 021429, and what is its significance?

gometros
08-04-2006, 01:30 PM
Wow, what has happened to this thread? Two questions out there and no posts since yesterday? This used to be one of the hottest threads on the parks board.

disneycruise05
08-04-2006, 02:13 PM
In what attraction would you find this license plate - 021429, and what is its significance?
Well, February 14th, 1929 (o2/14/29)was the date of the St. Valentine's Day Massacre in Chicago. It was when members of a gang (South Side's Al Capone - Italian) dressed up as police men and killed several members of an opposing gang (North Side's George Moran - Irish/German). While this led to the elimination of Moran's gang, it also led to the downfall of Capone, since this alerted the government of his criminal actions.

OK...enough history!!! Now some Disney!!! So....with this knowledge,I would assume that this license plate would be in the Great Movie Ride at Gangster Alley.

I knew I would find a way to incorproate being a history major with Disney!!! :rotfl:

A I Heart Disney AAQ to disneycruise for finding our license plate and providing a little bit of history along the way.

Welcome to the Parks Game thread. For the newbies, we have a few simple rules. 1) You have to answer a question correctly before you get to ask and 2) when you do ask a question, please put it in bold.

ryley26

The answer i believe is Winnie the Pooh

This is too funny I'm a history major also maybe this thread attracts us. Gometros keep up the weight loss 42 lb's is great. I'm down 110 and will be running my first marathon in Oct.Its great not to have the extra baggage.

OK, seems like we are slipping into oblivion right before our 5TH ANNIVERSARY on the boards. Are there any Parks Games players left out there???

Here's a question to keep the thread legal:

What was the first official airline of Walt Disney World?

disneycruise05
08-31-2006, 01:35 AM
AACK!! Scary to see that we were so far into the pages. Here's a guess: how about Eastern Airlines?

They sponsered "If You Had Wings," which opened less then a year after MK opened, which was replaced by "Delta Dreamflight," which was replaced by "Disney's Take Flight," which was replaced the the current..."Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin."

However, I don't know if they were the first offical airline. Just anther chance to throw out Disney history!!! :thumbsup2
