Hi all. Just wanted to post the rules for all the new folks out there! :sunny:

There are only a few rules….

You may ask a question after correctly answering a question and being awarded an AAQ (Ask A Question) card.

Questions should be in bold to allow us to follow the game more easily.

Lurking is okay, but it’s a lot more fun to jump in and guess! There is no punishment for wrong answers here!!

Questions should be focused on the four WDW theme parks in order to maintain our place on this board. A continued thank you to the moderators for allowing this game to continue for more than 3 years.

Okay, sorry for the delay:) I'm new to this thread and I didn't read the rules! Now I have so, here's my question:

This is a silly thing, but...What everyday necessity is used all over the park, but is themed differently for every land in the Magic Kingdom, so as not to disrupt the "magic?"

Having recently visited DL for the first time in 22 years, this is a group participation question.

Without looking, name the attractions that exist in both DL and WDW

Gimme Bonus Question: what is the difference between the two "ghostly" attractions?

Pointdisney
07-06-2006, 07:39 PM
If memory serves...POTC, HM, Peter Pan's Flight, IASW, Teacups, Buzz Lightyear, and the Astro Orbiter. I've only been to DL once for a few hours last year, but that's what I can remember seeing. As for the bonus...The HM in DL's stretching room is actually an elevator that moves you downward; the WDW HM's stretching room doesn't actually move, it just appears that you do. :)

You got 6 of them. Astro Orbiter goes by a different name in DL.

The difference between the 2 HM rides is that in one you are going down an elevator in the "no windows and no doors room" and in the other, the walls are just moving up but you stay on the same level, right?

Spectro got the Bonus question (I told ya it was a gimme :)

Ryley got 9 of the 20 attractions that are common to the two parks (Hint: think DL and California Adventure. Note I was comparing it to WDW, not just MK.)

ryley26
07-07-2006, 01:07 PM
Okay her we go again Buzz, Space mnt ,Tea Cups, Dumbo,Snow White,Peter Pan, HH, Hall of Presidents,Splash MNt, Thunder mnt, Country bears, POC, Jungle Cruise,Tiki Room, Swiss Treehouse, Soarin,Tot, Millionare not sure if still open at CA,Tough to be a Bug, Railroad, Winnie the pooh, Gometros i'm trying to mentally walk through both parks and its killing me i can't remember.

gometros
07-07-2006, 02:56 PM
Okay, you got some of them. Some you mentioned do not exist in both places. So far we have:

1. Buzz Lightyear - rylely
2. Space Mountain - ryley
3. Mad Tea Party - ryley
4. Dumbo - ryley
5. Snow White's Scary Adventue - ryley
6. Peter Pan's Flight - ryley
7. Splash Mountain - ryley
8. BTMRR - ryley
9. Pirates of the Caribbean - ryley
10. Soarin' Over California
11. Tower of Terror
12. It's Tough To Be A Bug
13. DL/WDW railroad
14. The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh
15. The Haunted Mansion
16. The Jungle Cruise

Good job. I'm not counting the Tiki Room, since they are two different attractions in each park. The others you mentioned are only in one place, not the other. I'm still looking for 4 more.

Okay here goes...

What is the name of the tour company advertised on the queue line for Jungle Cruise?

gometros

LIberty Belle river boat ,Stich , Muppets more guesses.

ryley gets one more with MuppetVision 3-D

1. Buzz Lightyear - rylely
2. Space Mountain - ryley
3. Mad Tea Party - ryley
4. Dumbo - ryley
5. Snow White's Scary Adventue - ryley
6. Peter Pan's Flight - ryley
7. Splash Mountain - ryley
8. BTMRR - ryley
9. Pirates of the Caribbean - ryley
10. Soarin' Over California
11. Tower of Terror
12. It's Tough To Be A Bug
13. DL/WDW railroad
14. The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh
15. The Haunted Mansion
16. The Jungle Cruise
17. MuppetVision 3-D

I wasn't thinking of the monoral, since I didn't consider that as much an attraction as a part of the transportation system, so there are still 3 more out there.

17. MuppetVision 3-D - ryley
18. IASW - Spectro
19. Tom Sawyer Island - ryley
20. HISTA - ryley

The Carousels don't count since in WDW it's Cinderella's Golden Carousel and in Disneyland it's King Arthur Carrousel
