Mickey_Maniac
02-02-2006, 08:07 PM
No and No, I am looking for the actual flight number for the trip to the Forest Moon of Endor. It is announced several times during the pre-show queue.

For a bonus AAQ, what is the name of the passenger they page during the pre-show queue?

JamesD
02-02-2006, 08:15 PM
Flight 1-14
Mr. EGROEG SACUL (George Lucas backwards)

Mickey_Maniac
02-02-2006, 08:31 PM
JamesD gets the bonus AAQ for the passengers name, but the flight number is wrong.

02-03-2006, 12:50 PM
Come on folks, isn't anyone out there a Star Tours fan?

orljustin

They also page Mr. Morrow. Mr. Tom Morrow.

There are a bunch of flight numbers from different gates announced during the preshow, though.

Mickey_Maniac
02-04-2006, 09:21 AM
OK, I think I have to give equal AAQ's to JamesD and gometros!! The actual answer is ST-45. Not bad, huh? 3 AAQs given out on one question.

What attraction in MGM that closed in 1998 allowed guests to participate in scenes from popular television shows?

gometros
02-22-2006, 03:35 PM

Mickey_Maniac
02-28-2006, 09:51 PM
Not Zebras either. In the interest of keeping things moving, I'll go ahead and give the answer. It's the Sable Antelope.

YAY!!! My first AAQ!!! So here's my question, keeping up with the theme of sponsers...

What 2 companies have sponsered Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room?

Is one the Florida Citrus Growers Association or something? I seem to remember Anita Bryant being featured somehow during the "early" years.

disneycruise05
03-07-2006, 04:34 PM
Is one the Florida Citrus Growers Association or something? I seem to remember Anita Bryant being featured somehow during the "early" years.

I wasn't aware of this sponser, but after looking it up, I've found out that they were sponser. I looked at Disney World Triva (http://www.disneyworldtrivia.com/trivia/mk/adventureland/tikiroom.php) and read that the Florida Citrus Growers Association sponserd an attraction called the "Tropical Serenade," located in the building (The Sunshine Pavillion) that now houses the Enchanted Tiki Room.

After checking to make sure I was right (I have been know to be wrong on plenty of occasions...) I read that these sponsers are at Disneyland, not WDW (oops). As a hint, the current sponser does have to do with fruit though. The other is more closely related to an action that birds do....if that makes any sense. ;)

MickeyBabe
03-07-2006, 06:48 PM
:wave2: I'll second (or third) The Florida Citrus Growers. ::yes::

http://www.disneyworldtrivia.com/forums/images/smilies/inquisitive.gifAs far as I know, the Tiki Room has gone without a sponsor since 1986 when thier sponsorship was withdrawn.

The WDW attraction has always been known as "The Enchanted Tiki Room".

The original show, "Enchanted Tiki Room Tropical Serenade" (version 1) ran from 1971 to 1997.

In 1997 the show was replaced by "Enchanted Tiki Room: Under New Management".

wdwtptb :wave2: Good to be seen

This doesn't apply to the game, since we are restricted to WDW trivia here, but, the DL "Enchanted Tiki Room Tropical Serenade" has had two sponsors, United Airlines was the first. It is now sponsored by Dole.

dps!!!! To the Parks' Trivia Game....

There are a few basic rules....Questions are always in Bold, so that we can follow the game
AAQ's (ask a question) are awarded when a correct answer is given.
AFTER the asker acknowledges that you are right, you get to ask the next question.
Questions are limited to the Four Parks in WDW. (Nothing about water parks, resorts, or Downtown Disney)

I think that's about it...someone else please chime in if there's anything I forgot.... :confused3 MBabe---explain Chalk Circle...that's a good story.

The Chalk Circle was based on a posting in another thread. A woman went to WDW and actually drew a circle of chalk on the ground on Main Street to save space for her family for one of the parades. She was horrified when people did not respect her circle and actually sat down in "her area".
The Chalk Circle became our cyber hangout where we indulge in Whiparitas (Dole Whips in the adult style), lay in our hammocks and watch the World go by.

Since we are missing a question, here's a softball:

What did you need to buy to ride the best attractions, such as Haunted Mansion and 20,000 Leagues, on Opening Day, 1971?

Since we are missing a question, here's a softball:

What did you need to buy to ride the best attractions, such as Haunted Mansion and 20,000 Leagues, on Opening Day, 1971?

AN E-TICKET?

How many triangular panels are on the exterior of Spaceship Earth?

My GUESS is 3071????

:teacher: :teacher: :teacher:

disneycruise05
03-13-2006, 12:10 AM
Nope...I can say that the number is less than 1000. Each triangle that you see on SSE is part of a panel that has (what looks like to me) 3 triangles...if that makes sense.

Or for an easier hint....

The year WDW opened minus the number of countries represented in the World Showcase minus the number of happy haunts at the HM, minus 7...equals the number of panels.

P.S. Grandpa has a touch of pneumonia, and should be good as new by Wednesday. I'll try to get on as often as possible.

OK, I know I'm a total geek, but i actually have a transcript of that telecast, which goes as follows:

"This is where the early planning is taking place for our so-called Disney World project. Now the purpose of this film is to bring you up to date about some of the plans for Disney World. But before I go into any of the details, I want to say just a word about the site for our Florida project."

The official name is "La Fontaine de Cendrillon" (or Fountain of Cinderella)

I'm going to go out on a limb for the last one and say the rafts to Tom Sawyer's Island.

The RAFTS!!!! That was it!!!

You can save your sailling AAQ's for later when you have a question!

OK...

The All Star Music Resort has five areas, each with a different musical theme. Name the themes.

That would be jazz, broadway, rock n' roll, country, and calypso

And to rewrite the rules:

There are a few basic rules....Questions are always in Bold, so that we can follow the game
AAQ's (ask a question) are awarded when a correct answer is given.
AFTER the asker acknowledges that you are right, you get to ask the next question.
Questions are limited to the Four Parks in WDW. (Nothing about water parks, resorts, or Downtown Disney)

Correct, and I'm sorry about that, I had read the rules but had forgotten that you could not include the resorts. Therefore, disneycruise05 wins, I suppose a somewhat useless, resort AAQ card.

LOL. Thanks for the AAQ. Don't worry about screwing up...the first question I posted was about the Tiki Room sponsers, but got the Tiki Room in WDW mixed up with the one in DL. I got REALLY confused hearing about sponsers that I had never heard of. :rotfl:

On that note, here's my question:

At the end if IASM, there are signs saying good-bye...how many languages are represented by these signs?

Good question! ...how about Zazu from the Tiki Birds?

Disneycruise05 has 1/2 of it, the other half might not be so obvious. Think of some of the characters that Dallas McKennon has played outside of the parks, should make it easier.

The guy at Big Thunder Mt who talks about the "wildest ride in the west"!!

According to "Character Voice Work" http://www.perfessorbill.com/sam_voice.shtml
Dallas McKennon was the voices of Rabbit and Gopher
Winnie the Pooh and Tigger (1968)
12" Disneyland DQ-1317. An encapsulation of songs and stories about Pooh and Tigger including portions of Blustery Day and The Tigger Song, plus other Pooh songs on side 2. Sam Edwards as Tigger and Owl, Sterling Holloway as Pooh, Jonathon Walmsley as Christopher Robin, Dallas McKennon as Rabbit and Gopher.

So my next guess is Rabbit and Gopher from Winnie the Pooh!

If there are no replies soon, I'll provide another Frontierland guess!

Yes, he is the voice of the prospector on big thunder who gives the safety warning. He was the voice of zeke in in country bear jamboree in Disneyland, Zeke isn't in the attraction in Walt Disney World. As for gopher and rabbit, they dont have voices in the attraction. So a voice AAQ card to Disneycruise05 and plutospup.
