My 2 sons (ages 9 & 11) are wondering how much some of the toys @ WDW cost. They like boy things like swords, playsets, Indiana Jones, Muppets, etc. They are trying to figure out about how much allowance to save for our trip. We'll give them $50 in Disney dollars, but anything beyond that they'll have to save for. If you've bought any boy's toys, please tell me the item and about how much it cost. Thank you!!

If you have kid's you've heard this.

It seems like a lot of things are around the $10-$15 range, but every once in a while I'll see something for $7-$8. One great money saving trick I learned is to go to the Disney Store (or even look at Walmart and Target clearance racks) and get things on sale. I bought some Buzz Lightyear and Mickey stuff for just a couple of dollars. Then bring them to Disney with you. Right now, Buzz Lightyear backpacks are on sale at the Disney Store for $2.99.

The swords and guns at Indy Jones/PoTC etc are typically anywhere from $6-$15. Buzz Lightyear ray gun is $20. Light chasers are $6-$15.

If you have a Dollar Store nearby, go there and buy glow sticks there first. If you have a Deal$ which is a Dollar Store but bigger, they have these battery operated glow sticks so you can just buy one glow stick for the entire trip.

If you can get to the Disney Outlet at Belz, you can also buy some toys for cheaper than park prices.
