I have read alot about the benefit of these "earplanes" for kids on airplanes to deal with the airpressure. I cannot remember seeing them in Shoppers Drugmart ec. (although I have never really been looking specifically) and I was wondering if anyone has bought them here, and if so - how did they work out?

Thanks!

Yes, you can get them here in Canada. We got them at Shopper's Drug Mart (two sizes, kids and adults sizes), and they worked great for my then 3 year old who had a cold.

we've always bought them at Shoppers too, they have been selling them for at least 3 years now, at least in Manitoba. They are fantastic for those with ear problems. My daughter was in agony on her first plane ride about 4 years ago, we bought earplanes on our next trip and she had no pain at all. Shes now 18 and can finally fly without them, painfree. :)

I couldn't find them at Shoppers, but I picked mine up at Walmart in the travel section of the pharmacy. We used them for my DD's first flight in May and had no ear problems. I also purchased the adult ones for myself and was happy with them as I've been known to have severe ear pain from flying.

We got ours from Zehrs and just asked the pharmacist to order them in for us (2 kids, 2 adults). They were $6 and something for each pair and they worked for the flight there and home. They were well worth the money as my DS, DD, and DH had a painfree flight. I have been a long time sinus sufferer and have been in agony whenever I fly - I had no problem on the way there but on the way back I had a little trouble but nothing compared to recent trips. I definately would not fly without them.

Enjoy your trip!!

I have also seen them for sale at our local CAA office, in with all the travel goodies.

I have seen them at CAA as well. They are called Travel Essentials Ear planes and sell for $10.99 to CAA members. (Cheaper at Shoppers if you can get them).

I happen to be the rep for Pharmasystems which has the EarPlanes. They are also available at Pharma Plus stores.

Would you know how much they sell for at PharmaPlus?
