Who is up for an impromptu Rajah-Con Chicago DIS meet? **Note time change**

Rajah, aka Tammi, is coming to Chicago, with her mom, for a wedding in October. She will be here from Wednesday, Oct 6 through Sunday, Oct 10.

She will be busy with the wedding most of her time here, with her only free time, for a DIS meet, on Sunday, from about 11 AM to about 2 PM. Her hotel is in the immediate O'Hare area and they will be flying into, and out of, O'Hare.

So, we will be having a meet, Sunday, Oct 10th, 11 AM on, noonish, somewhere in the O'Hare area. The date and time is pretty fixed, hope a lot of us can get together for a nice late summer meet, and meet Tammi and her mom along the way.

Only thing those who are coming have to decide is where. We could do a good standby, Gino's East, always a favorite of us here in Chicago and of anybody visiting, the one at O'Hare Plaza, 8725 West Higgins Road, right by the airport.

Any thoughts???

Hi :)

Not really. I love italian, mexican, BBQ, chinese (as long as they don't use MSG), hamburgers... Biggest requirement is no seafood due to allergies.

We're staying in the Courtyard Marriott O'Hare, so something there would also be an option if there's a good restaurant around there, too.

But my DH said he heard the Gino's in Rolling Meadows closed! Can anyone confirm that?

I don't have my work schedule yet for the week of Oct. 10th.

I doubt it was Rolling Meadows, Nancy. However, Rosemont closed, and moved to Chicago/O'Hare (about a mile East of the Rosemont one).

As of right now, looks like I'll be going in the opposite direction of Chicago on Oct. 10th. I'll probably take my daughter to an open house at Southern IL University on the 11th, so going down there the night before.

Oh, and don't bring your wall coloring utencils, they don't let you draw on the walls there. :(
