I just picked up a set from Disney and it is like my 7th train that is Disney related. Not a large collection but growing. I was wondering if any of you collect these?

Geeze Nat, tell us what you bought!

I have a "G" scale Lilly Belle that I have never run. I had hoped they would continue the series, but all I ever saw was the caboose. I never had much interest in the Disney theme park train models that were not accurate copies of the real things. Just slapping a Disney decal on a "stock" mold is NOT authentic! With that said, I do have the Sears set from the late eighties.

I have always been a big fan of the monorails. Not sure if you can call me a collector though. I have a couple of the early Schuccos, and one of the first version Toy Monorails sold in the parks late 80's (lime green). Of course I have one of the current ones in red (of course)! And a "Big Red" paperclip holder, the old DL lunchbox, ashtrays, even have some 60's DL wall paper showing a MK2 in yellow... and lots of pins that my wife oversees. I also have an HO model kit of the GM Aerotrain that was the model for the Disneyland Viewliner.

The Eric Robison tribute to Herb Ryman hangs in our bedroom. It shows a purple MK4 gliding through old Disneyland. One of my favorite pieces is the hand carved 35th MouseoRail from the DL 35th that was presented to VIP's along the promo tour across the US.

But... I'm really not a train collector, just a fan.

I got the battery operated monorail (the spendy one) the day I completed Monorail training... Yes Ironic I know but I *needed* an excuse to blow 50 bucks :D

Wish I had a place to keep it set up... :)

I also have the die-cast Red and Purple ones (the worst and the best rails respectivly) -em

Hi Nat,
Yes, I do have a couple of Disney trains that I bought for my DH. I have purchased all of them through the Carolwood Society. If you are a train collector it is definately something worth looking in to. www.carolwood.com
I have seen a couple in train stores I would love to have for my grandson but, just a bit too pricy for a 3 year old.

We have LGB trains that are set up year round along the outside perimeter of our house. The cars come in but the track stays out all year long. We use them for Halloween for trick or treat, the kids flock to our house every year. They love getting candy off the train. They are the same LGB as the ones in Epcot outside Germany. We even have some of the same buildings set up like they do..
