Yes and yes.
Do you have a service dog?
PM me for details.

I just was notified by SW Air and they said that I don't need anything and all I need to do is bring the dog with a leash. The same is true for DCL. :chat: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

DCL will mail you forms to fill out for a service dog. I think there is also a current health certificate that needs to be presented, but Lynda probably has the details- I have the information but won't have sailed with a service dog until May. Kathy

Thanks, Lynda blasted me and called me a fake. I have only had the dog for 2 months and I am still in training. She has been trained on planes. Thanks for the tip, I will call DCL

DCL does have an information page for Guests Cruising with Disabilities. (http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/disneycruiseline/faq/faqgroupingindex?id=GuestsWithDisabiltiesFAQGrping ) There isn't much information, but there is a phone number for more info and an email link near the top of the page.
And, here's a
link to Southwest's page about travelers with disabilities. (http://www.southwest.com/travel_center/disability.html)
And, last, here's a link to a page of travel resources for people with disabilities. (http://www.faa.gov/avr/afs/cabinsafety/disabilities.cfm)

Videogal,
It would be appreciated if you share the ionformation on service dogs on the cruise line with the group. While I personally don't have a service dog I do have several friends with service or guide dogs who would love to be able to join me on a cruise. The information would be very helpful.

I can also share what I have found out. Service dogs are welcome on the ship as long as they are on a leash or harness at all times. They will provide a "litter" box if you have a verandah stateroom or will provide a walk station for the dog if you don't. You need to bring your own dog food along. There are permits needed which are specific to each port of embarkation and they will send you the forms to return prior to sailing. There is also a current health certificate that you need to present. Some excursions do not allow service dogs due to the nature of the excursion, ie: dolphin encounters. That's all I can think of. Dennis....good luck with finishing your training. I'm in the same situation here- still learning. :-) Kathy

SW air does not require any forms or certificates for the dog, dcl has a form they send you.
