Have your children ever asked why the characters dont speak?

My ds just turned 5 is really excited to go see Mickey next week. Have your children expected the characters to talk and then ask you why they don't? Just was hoping you would share your experiences and advice in case my ds asks me! :)

Mine have never questioned it, even though the face characters can speak.

Others have said they tell the kids that he is saving his voice for the movies, but its never been an issue for us

One I heard on the board that I'll be using someday is:

that there are so many children from all over the world that visit WDW, they don't know all of the different languages and don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, so they don't talk at all

I thought it was very sweet.
