Just recieved an e-mail from them about the World of Disney store opening in NYC. Grand Opening October 5th.
You can earn triple reward dollars every time you spend $50 or more between 10/05/04 and 01/05/05 at either this new store or WorldofDisney.com.
Also there is some "special preview" of Cinderella's Princess Court
show. There are 6 FREE shows for DV cardmembers only. The tickets for this show are normally $75.00 apiece!!!!!
I checked my "other offers" on the website and it is listed there also. So if you don't get the e-mail check the website too.

Still checking, but it doesn't come up on my credit card site or the show's website. Sounds awesome, though. Do you live in the NY area? maybe they are only sending this to those who live nearby. I have 5 girls-I would LOVE to do this if I could get the info! Is there a phone # to call?

I guess I was one of the lucky ones who got the email. There is a phone number at the bottom that you can try calling, it's 212-702-0704.
Just so you know, you can always do the Cinderella Princess Court, but if you do it before the actual grand opening of the store, they are letting you do it free if you are a Disney Visa member. Otherwise it will be $80 or $75 with the card. Try calling, you never know!

Hmmm, that's strange since when I went on it said the 3rd was sold out and I had to take a week day. I wonder if they opened up other times or days??

On my email it says the dates are Sept. 29 and 30 at 2:30 and 4:00 and Oct. 3 at 2:45 and 4:45. Maybe they have other dates not in the email. I would call them back and make sure you are booking the free ones and not the paid ones.

When i called he said that not all the times were listed on the email or site and that they have more times listed. When i asked him if a sat. or sun was available he said yes and that i could go on sat at 12:15 or 5. No visa number was ever given so this is for the free one. Ill let you know more when i get the email confirmation.

Actually from what the CM told me, it is for children 5-10 or 12, and only girls. Although she thinks they may come up with something for boys in the future.
The girls go into a room by themselves, there is a 2 way mirror so that the parents can watch them. They are in there for about an hour.
It really looks wonderful, I am so happy I called the number in the email and got the date. When I called (about 6:00pm EST they said they had about 22 spots left for the 5:00pm on Oct 2nd.
I wonder if they will still give the girls the $10 Disney Dollars or not because we are getting it for free! If this turns out great it will be the best perk of having gotten this card!
Here is what the website says about it:

Cinderella’s Princess Court is a 60 minute event. $80 per princess. ($5 discount if you reserve online)
Price includes a Disney “Build A Crown” with four colored jewels and an exclusive Cinderella centerpiece, a pair of lace gloves, a special “Thank You” card with Princess stickers, 10 Disney Dollars, and a photo of the Princess with Cinderella.

About Cinderella’s Princess Court
Cinderella’s Princess Court is a magical interactive experience for little girls. Available only at the World of Disney® Store in New York City, this enchanting event will delight your little princess through music, storytelling and enchanting games.
Cinderella loves being a Princess, but her beautiful, magical castle a is lonely place without the laughter and joy of truehearted friends. What Cinderella needs is a real Princess Court, a group of friends willing to stand by her side and share the gift of friendship.
Not everyone can be a member of Cinderella’s Princess Court, though! Only Princesses who possess the 4 Princess Principles — Intelligence, Grace, Thoughtfulness and Honesty — may join.
To start the event, Cinderella’s beautiful friend, Lady Seraphina, appears and welcomes everyone with a story and a song. As potential members of the Court, each Princess is given a special, yet unadorned crown. The story continues as each little girl experiences a series of enchanting games and activities. Every game is connected to one of the 4 Principles, and as each Princess demonstrates that she does indeed have the desired Principle in her heart, she is given a new jewel for her crown.
Once each Princess has filled her crown with 4 sparkling jewels, she will invite one special guest to enter the Friendship Room where guests will be serenaded by Lady Seraphina and all of the young Princesses.
Cinderella makes her grand entrance to conduct a magical Induction Ceremony in which each Princess is called to the stage to meet Cinderella herself, and to receive the centerpiece for her crown, a heart-shaped Cinderella jewel that makes her a true Disney Princess.
The story concludes with special keepsakes and memories that last forever.

They said my husband, myself and my son could come, but only my daughter was allowed in the PRINCESS COURT area. They suggested that my husband and son walk around the store (which is huge) and also has character appearances.
I opted for my daughter and I to go with my Mom and Niece for a nice Girls ONLY trip to Manhattan!
My son would only get jealous. Instead my son and husband will have a bonding day of bowling!

I called because I got the same email and all the dates mentioned on it were sold out. I was given 12:15 on Oct 2. They have other times then the ones mentioned in the email. :bounce: When I called she said my phone number was the first she had from the NYC area so I think alot of out of towners have been getting this email.
Also it's valid for 1 adult and up to 3 girls ages 5-10. The adult remains outside of the room with a pager and wristband. They will be invited in about 15 min before the end via the pager. You may bring camera's and video camera's. There is supposed to be a game room for the boys and other children.
The store officially opens Oct 5 but I asked will we be able to walk around and shop while we're waiting and the CM said they still weren't sure what was happening regarding the OFFICIAL opening and an opening.
Since I don't have princesses but have 2 princes(who by the way are upset they can't go) I'm taking my friend's daughters who's b'day happens to be Sept 28.

Enjoy and please report back to us!
