Hi,
We are in 2 cat 10 cabins, with our 4 children, DS9,DS8, DD3 and DD16months. It is the first cruise and DW for the kids. It is for my 40th and celebrating the completion of our family :) My parents are also joining us in a category 6 cabin, so that is where I think we should hang out.:

We are taking my parents also, it is their Christmas/Birthday present from us. They will be staying in the cabin next door. This will be their first cruise. I can't wait to see their expressions when they enter the ship and they announce their name.

I am so excited that I cannot even think about christmas. I am surprising DH for his Birthday. He has no idea. He has agreed to go with me on a business trip. I figure when we get to Orlando, we will meet up with the others. I figure he will think we are going to disney. The limo driver was instructed to not even mention the port. I am hoping he will not realize it till we get to the ship.
Keep your fingers vcrossed that we do not get snow and that I can keep the surprise.

hi all,
Fairygodmother how many in your picture are going on the cruise? Yes i am very excited. in fact the month of December i am doing the 30 days of Disney where Mickey mouse and Tinkerbell leave the kids something everyday that is Disney or for the cruise. My boys are on year around school and off for 5 weeks, so I have to do something to build the excitement.

12-10-2004, 11:00 PM
What a neet idea. I will do that for the next cruise with the grandchildren.
In the picture there are only three of us going this time. Me, my DH and my Dsister. Her husban was not with us on that trip and neither was my brother or his son.
Have a good weekend. Looking forward to the trip
Gotta run, My Dh is in the room and being nosey. Do not want to ruin the surprise now.

Okay, I almost slipped and told DH. Who ever sent the pixie dust, Thanks.
Today I snuck some of DH'S clothes so I can start packing. He lived in another state and when he comes home on weekend I do laundry. I can not figure out how to get his dress pants home so I can pack them. He takes them to the cleaners where he stays. I am trying to get him to buy a jacket. He wants to wait till it gets closer to my neices wedding (Sept 05) which is not going to work. If anyone has any ideas how to trick him into going I would appreciate the help. I did tell him I had a voucher that needed to be used at Mens Wearhouse. He is always about saving a dollar.
Any help will be appreciated.

We'll be there :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc . Just booked last week (thank goodness for Florida resident rates). We decided to surprise DD for her birthday, it the 28th. We are either going to tell her that daddy has a doctor's appointment over in Cocoa and we wouldn't make it home to pick her up from the bus, or DH wants to tell her that we have to drive to her birthday present and then show up at the port. I just hope I can keep my big mouth shut that long. I have came close to blowing it many times.

So, I am sure this trip should inspire me. My dad's BD is the 24th and I haven't decided if I am going to decorate his cabin.

HI
I agree with fairygodmother! We are in CT and it is freezing, we will be doing the land/sea/grandma combo. We are in the parks for four days cruising on the 27th and visiting Grandma in Zepher Hills FL after the cruise and flying back to CT on Wednesday. Along for the ride is DH (major disney freak), DD (age 3 and first trip!). We are also traveling with our best friends and there two children, one is our godson age 1 year and his sister age 3 exactly one week younger than my DD, and there grandmother.
My family is staying at AK and our friends at the polynesian.
Hope everyone has a great trip!

Kaseybug, We did the same itinerary as you last year. I must say that I went to the AKL kicking and screaming, but ended up loving it. The view of the animals from our room was fantastic. My GD(3) still talks about the anna cole cattle. You will no doubt have a great time. I wish I was doing Disney. I have been begging DH to go. This cruise is a surprise for him and he will no doubt think we are going to WDW when we land in Orlando. I hope I can keep the surprise till we get to the ship.

Hi Fairygodmother,
I was a little apprehensive just because everyone says AKL is soooo far from the parks. But my DH and DD are really looking forward to waking up and looking at the animals. Our friends would have joined us at AKL but their mother is paying for the trip and wanted to stay at the Polynesian. Plus it might be nice to have the use of both hotels for both families. THis is mine and DH 2nd land/sea combo we went in May of 2000(I think that was the year! my memory is so bad!) We stayed at Port Orleans on that trip and cruised w/ porthole room. This trip we have booked a verendah and are in 6038.
Happy cruising!

We do have alot in common, but I have you by one year--I'll turn 41 on the 18th! Sounds like you have been busy traveling to China, I'm sure that that is exciting! My two girls are 8 & 10 years old, they keep me busy enough.
faireygod mother-
I know what you mean about the weather, last week with the bad weather we had over 14 inches of snow. We were suppose to leave to go snow skiing up at Massanutten but had to postpone our trip by one day because of the snow. And would'nt you know it, Massanutten did not get ANY snow, they only had the man-made stuff! We are hoping for some good weather for Florida and for the cruise.

Welcome to our group. We will just about be neighbors on the cruise, we have rooms 6052 & 6054. I'm sure we will see each other in the halls.

It is my understanding that Shirley will make whatever you want. You can even ship things to her to inckude. She delivers them to the ship and it is placed in your stateroom.
Hope this helps.
I made ours last cruise. I carried everything I wanted and a gift bag. I assembled them in the room and then left them for my DGD as if Minnie had left it for them. They loved it still have no idea it was me. In fact my son thought it was really from Minnie because my DDIL helped put it in their room.
Just an option.
I am thinking of doing one this time for my DH

Hi, there.
Add one more couple in for this cruise. My wife and I are going to sneak away from work for a couple of days to get away from the January weather in New England!
I forget which cruise this is for us - either #4 or 5 on DCL. We've done RCL, NCL, Royal Majesty, etc... and DCL makes them all look like amateurs. Disney for us!
Is anyone planning to give the Nassau excursions a miss and go around on your own? None of the excursions looked all that interesting, so I was wondering what to do in Nassau while there. I've been to Atlantis before, so that's out - what is a good "roll your own" day excursion? Any suggestions?
Thanks & see you aboard ship.

Shirley, is the owner of "The Perfect Gift" she makes gift baskets and deliver them to the ship. You basically can pick what you want in it or theme. I have seen pics and they are real nice.
As for Diamond International. I will tell you that DCL seems to lke them. I found them pricey and not very knowledgable as to what I was looking for.

Doing the Doc Dance in CT. We are so excited. My 3 DD told everyone that would listen that we got our Disney World and boat tickets!
no upgrade but we did get the room (6038), we requested after changing our minds about 5 times (so at least they don't get easily confused at DCL). Our friends we are travelling with have a cat 4 stateroom because they need to sleep 5, so they are in 8038 or 8040 can't remember but just about directly above is two levels.

Wahoo!! :cool1: :cool1: This is me in Maryland finally doin' the doc dance (my first one ever!) In two weeks from today, we'll be on the boat folks. Can I say I am REALLY looking forward to it? I went and bought my kids some new sunglasses today - Barbie for the 4 year old dd and Thomas the tank engine for 2 year old ds. Can't wait to surprise them! Let's hope we actually NEED shades, eh??? Anyone have any clue of how to see a forcast for castaway cay? is it possible?

Congrats Sheely on the DOC Dance it is so exciting to have tangible evidence of the trip in hand.
This time next week, I will be frantically trying to fit things in our suitcases!
I at least have some extra weight to me so it makes it easier to sit on the suitcase and squish it all in.

I have been checking the weather on accuweather.com. It looks like it will be in the high 70's or low 80's. I will take it. YEAH
No doc yest for me. My TA is on a cruise till next weekend so I have to wait. Good thing anyway because DH got the mail today and opened things. NOSEY! There was a package addressed to me and he was dying to find out what it was. I told him a gift. He figures it was for him. It was for my nephew whi is going with us, but DH does not know that and I could not tip him off. Seing as it was a Mickey Mouse backpack ugh!
I have a few more articles to steal from his laundry this week and then I will be able to finish packing. :boat:
2weeks from today we will be packing and putting our suitcase out in the hall and reflecting on what a wonderful cruise it was. I am hoping to be on top deck and see the Magic go by at around 11pm. Anyone game for this?

Now we are in the 10 day countdown! :cheer2: Help....I need to know what kind of clothing all of you are packing...especially for dinner. I am hoping that our weather here warms up a little. We were in the 80's last week and have taken a dive..high of only 63 today. Although, I am sure that is warm to some of you! :earseek:

I'm praying for sixty degree weather!!! Here is about 23 degrees and snowy! if I could even go without wearing a coat for three days, I'd be thrilled. I think I am going to pack a pair of black dress pants (that go with lots of shirts) and maybe a skirt for dinner. It's harder for the kids - I'm thinking layers. Short sleeves, a fleece or two, jeans and a couple pairs of shorts? I really am struggling about this issue also!

It'll be warmer in Nassau but right now Florida is hanging in high 60s. At least it is sunny right now! :sunny: Don't forget that the children aren't supposed to wear shorts or jeans at dinner. :D

01-17-2005, 09:27 AM
I did remember that. I've got khakis for ds and dd would be thrilled to pull out a dress or two - or her velvety "soft pants" as she calls them :) That's IF I can convince her to leave the clubs to come have dinner with me. :smooth: I was worried my husband would flip when I mentioned the dressing up for dinner, but he didn't! He is surprising me all over with this trip. I hope he likes it so we can try a longer one next time!

I packed one pair of dress slackes (black) for Dh and several different polo shirts to wear for dinner along with a white dress shirt and jacket for our dinner at Tritons. I have packed shorts for myself and dresses for dinner. Nothing fancy. I have a black dress with chiffon jacket and a little bit of beading for dinner at Tritons. I also packed kackis for DH. I packed a skort and shirt for myself for Nassau city tour.
Dh disappointed me this weekend. He did not wear the teal polo shirt so I could not steal it from the laundry. I had to ask him to bring it home next weekend so I can "pack away the sumer clothes" Man I am becoming creative. I am feeling so incredably guilty because I do not lie and I feel like this borders on that. :guilty: I know he will be surprised and I believe he will love it.
My DGD found out we are going and I had to bribe her today not to tell ANYONE! As long as I bring her back anything Minnie she will not tell. Keeping my fingers crossed.

what sort of magnets do people make? do you pictures and stuff up? i bet my daughter would love something like that, if i got my act together enough to make something princessy ! hey, I checked the ten day orlando forcast - 70s and sunny! wahoo! i HOPE HOPE it stays that way. Nassau is looking good too. Today it's supposed to be -1 degrees with the windchill. Looks like Maryland is finally deciding it's winter. Such a shame :) Tell me ideas for door magnets!

I saw or sorts when I was on board in November. There is a printable magnet you can design on. I was goign to make one for my nephew with Micky on it and sying something like Daddy and my first cruise or First time cruisers and then out there names on it.
I found the magnet sheets at big lots for a couple dollars.

I checked the Nassau forecast and I even saw highs of only 73...that means the nights are going to be a little chilly! Florida looks like we are lucky to hit mid 60's! Can I ask what all of you have planned to during during the day in Nassau? We haven't really planned any excursions and I was curious as what others were doing. I read a post that the zoo was nice and good for the children. Anyone else? We have Busch Gardens here...so not sure how DSs would feel. Although, I read that having the birds up close and personal was pretty neat. DH and I also considered going to Atlantis and looking around. Not sure whether to bring DSs (10 & 6) or not. Any advice from veterans? :chat:
sheelysmom
01-19-2005, 08:31 PM
I'm no veteran, so I don't have any advice. We are, though, heading to the zoo with dd 4 and ds 2 (we're doing the disney excursion that also does a little tour of Nassau). It just seems like it won't be warm enough for us to actually have fun in the water with the kids and I don't think my kids would care much about Atlantis. They do love the zoo though (we go to the National Zoo in DC which is pretty good) and I figure - it's getting us off the boat and we're getting a taste of Nassau. Who knows when we'll be back!

Ok let me see if I can answer the question about the magnets. Yes you put them on your door. Fellow Disers use the lime green mickey head so they know who each other is or that you are at least a fellow Diser. I printed mine on paper for now and am thinking of useing my scrapbook glue to attach to the magnet sheet so I can remove it when I get home and scrapbook it. That way I can reuse the magnet for next cruise.
As for the excursions in Nassau. We too are doing the zoo. I thought it would be nice to see the native animals (except the snakes and spiders) and birds. We did the dolphin excursion and beach day last time. Thought it may be to chilly this time.
If anyone wants the lime green Mickey head let me know I will send it to you.
Does anyone want to plan a meet?

I would love to do a meet. The passing of the ships is a good one although then the kids will probably be asleep so only one parent could get out. I am open. We are not really planning to do much in Nassau if we even get off the boat. We may get off to go to the local ERA real estate office since I an ERA agent in CT.
All of us were sick this week and I hoping we are all up to pare by Sunday..it also could snow a significant amount on Sat into Sun so I am little worried that we might get delayed. We are going to keep an eye on the weather and check to see if we can fly out on Saturday.

My door magnet is the ripped off cover of a princess coloring book - we cut out the princesses and put some sticky magnet strip on back. I got the magnet for a dollar or something at Michaels. DD4 loves it and DS2 doesn't care! Next time we'll have to find something more gender neutral, I'm sure! I know what you mean about overpacking. I know I am, but I don't know how to avoid it. We're driving so we have to bring coats, hats and warm clothes etc for when we are visiting my sister in NC on the way south. Then, short sleeves, sweatshirts and rain gear for down there! Although, the weather doesn't forcast any rain for the entire time we're there. I know, though, if I don't bring it, it will rain! That's my luck! :Pinkbounc We are leaving tomorrow morning! Wahoo! They now have a theme night on the ships. It is pirate theme. The menus are like old treasure maps rolled up. The servers put a red bandana on your head like a pirate wears. Then at 10pm they have a party on deck 9 with Mickey Mouse saving the day. They have fireworks, but the wonder does not just yet. There is snacks to eat and it is just fun. Some people dressed like pirates on the magic and I guess some are doing it now on the Wonder.

Would they be interested in new friends?

Ok I just reread this thread and I am sooooo excited! I have decided the people who travel with DCL must be the nicest, kindest people with the best taste possible:). Weather.com seems to think the temps will be in the 70's with a chance of rain on Saturday (bummer). Can someone tell me where to find out about the zoo excursion? I've been to Atlantis before, don't think I want to drag the girls there, but the zoo might be fun. Although there is a part of me that wants to soak in every ounce of fun on the ship as this is our first DC. We are heading to SS at WDW for two days after the cruise too! Wow, I'm am so excited!!!!
Farieygodmother: how is the surprise going? I am very impressed! I picked up a load of goodies at Walmart last night for surprises for the girls! I'm tingling! Just hope I can get everything done before we leave on Wednesday!

There actually is a website for the zoo that has a lot of information (ardastra.com). I have read on some of these posts that you can do it cheaper on your own if you wish. We may go there but are thinking about venturing over to Atlantis to check it out. :cool1: One of my sons is also 10, he is so looking forward to the clubs. Is your daughter shy around boys? I can't believe that it is so close...I am getting packing anxiety. I always pack so much for my boys (10 & 6) but they can go through t-shirts and underwear like crazy :earseek: (putting a new one on after every swim if I don't keep on top of them!). Do you have to travel down or are you local? This is also our first cruise but we are only a couple of hours away. So excited to get away! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :bounce: :bounce:

dandbsmom: My DD likes sports and therefore seems to do alright around boys. We are flying in on Wednesday from the Rockies. We've had a lot of snow but are enjoying the January thaw at the moment. I'm just looking forward to the water. I hear you about the clean underwear, my DD's (4 & 5) can change clothes 3 and 4 times a day if I don't keep an eye on them. My theory on packing anxiety is to do all the laundry first and then just pull out of the closets and drawers what I think we need. My older girls are responsible for themselves.
DH drove down to New Mexico for the weekend to help out his brother so these boards have been my friend! I just finished watching the DVD and feel like I at least have an idea how to navigate the ship. There seems to be so much to do an board I still don't know if I even want to get off before CC.

I just finished reading the thread about how great 2nd seating for dinner is because the servers are not as rushed, you can catch the 6:30 show and then head over the the family studio(can't remember the name right now) all before dinner at 8:30. Some folks just grab a quick bite on deck about 5:00. Sounds like a plan to me! More time for more fun!

lalcult. The surprise is still on. Dh could not understand why I am nervous about the weather. He says he we do not get out on a flight I can spend the weekend with him at his apt. Oh whoopie, I thought. I told him I just wanted to be able to give him this surprise becasue I know he would really enjoy it and I wanted to learn something new. He thinks I am going to a training. I hope they have towel folding classes on the ship, or cooking, anything I can learn so I am not lying.

Just found the Princess cameras at my local CC!! Thanks fgm for the the idea! I was telling DH this morning about all the great stuff I have learned this weekend from reading the boards and he was pretty impressed! I think I even surprised myself a bit. We are all looking forward to this trip. DH loved there were so many folks suprising other folks with the DC. When I told him about the stuff I have picked up for the gift bags for DD's he wasn't completely convinced of the importance until I told him it was all about the magic:), then he saw the light:).
Two days and counting!!!!

lalacult- sounds like you have a pretty good guy there. My DH usually just lets me do whatever and figures it has some meaning. If left to him, he would do nothing. If let to him he would not vacation either.
Welcome to the boards and if you have any questions please feel free to ask.
If you have not cruised on DCL, you will love it. I alsways say do not set your expectations to high, be open minded and it will be Magical. Better than you ever expected.
I am a Disney fan, I love their attention to detail. You will see that in the cabin. The hidden Mickey's, the decor it all is part of the Magic.
Greetings! We will also be on board the 27th. I am impressed by those keeping their secret! I booked the first week in December as a 35th b-day gift for DH. Managed to keep myself and four-year-old quiet about it until the 29th. He was so happy, it made for the best present ever :D
It is really cold down here, like 30 degrees (west coast Fl) but sunny. (I know everyone up north will laugh at that cold statement, but hey, my Florida blood is very thin!) Weather.com has it warming up through the week and rain chances are low.
We're counting down the minutes at this point!

fgm: I too am a HUGE Disney fan. We joined DVC a few years ago and have been to WDW once and in 2003 went to DL in Paris (DH was working out of the Eurorean office for the summer). This is our first DC with a couple days afterwards at WDW staying at SS. I am very lucky to be able to enjoy this with my children.
I just got back with my Princess cameras and picked the mats for autographs!!!!. I got two because we have two staterooms. I found some great, bright red gift bags and now I'm going to call my Creative Memories consultant to pick up the Disney licensed stickers they carry. I hope I get one of the CM's that is in a good mood at GS.
I had so much fun telling my DH this morning about what I have discovered about this upcoming event for our family. We are ready to put things into the suitcases now. What time will everyone be arriving? I told DH we are going to get to the port as early as possible to soak in every minute possible. More time on the boat=more value right?:)
Looking forward to meeting up with my new Disney buddies:)
I have read (Intercot.com) that arriving at or before 10:00 is smart. We'd have to leave really early for that though, if we get there by 11:30 I'll be happy.

SRQ1: I agree with you! My blood is also Florida thin. I keep debating on what is going in the suitcase....probably will overpack...but we're allowed 2 bags each, right!! Sneakers....sandals..... :D
FGM: My husband is the same way on alot of things. I got these cushie pillows for my DSs...was trying to figure how to leave them for a surprise at night...my DH thought I was crazy. Finished the stuff for the door....look for the incredibles!! I bought these incredible eye masks at the party store....DSs and I may wear them...no way for DH!! :rolleyes1
Did anyone read one of the other posts on the regular board about the seas being rough lately? That kind of worries me.
FGM: Have you ever been on a sick cruise?
I've been watching that weather closely also!! I would like a fun sail away party. Anyone bringing bubbles?

SRQ1- Welcome.
lalacult- I have been on a cruise with 15 ft swell, Dec 03. Like the other post said it kinda rocked us to sleep. Walking at first was a bit of an adventure. I am taking plent of dramamine for adults and children. My nepehew(4) is coming and we are unsure how he will do. My brother is a little concerned about himself as well. I have a rock bottom stomach and it does not bother me. Dh gets sick on roller coaster, but it does not bother him either. As long as I can look out at the horizion I do fine.
I am brining bubbles. I ahve a case left over from my son's wedding.
Our flight lands around 1030 and we are heading straight to the port. I figure we will be ther no later than noon, weather permitting.
I decorated my DGD's gift bags last cruise with Disney stickers and it looked cute. They thought Minnie left it for them. :bitelip:
We have ben talking about meeting, but nothing firm. I believe some are going to meet on deck 9 at 11pm on Saturday to see if we can see the MAgic pass by. I even packed binocculars. That was interesting getting those from DH. I have had to tell little whit lies for some time now as well play on words. I would make a great defense attorney.
I am going to finish packing this evening and help my sister clean her house and then hopefully finish mine.
I am sure I will be back on later tonight, if you have any questions. Not that I am an expert, but I will try to help.

Just got back with my Creative Memory stuff! They have some wonderful Disney things. I think I'll use them to make up a couple of door signs.
I know nothing about how to meet or plan a meeting place....fgm any suggestions?
Things are really coming together now! (or at least they better be:))
Good luck to all on the last minute push!

ok FGM I had to tell my daughter. She is in the IB prgram at her school and is flunking 3rd year spanish. We were supposed to have a "Foreign Language" evaluation Friday. So that ruined that surprise. She is bummed - yet happy. She was pleased with the clothes I packed - all her cool stuff. Only changed a couples things, one being shoes. KUDOS for the mom!!!
Now that she is in on the surprise for my brother and nieces - she calls them daily to ask if they're packed, how many hours left and wishes them the best. What a brat!
So when are you telling your husband? When he hears the boarding call for Orlando? LOL
Yes it is cold here - it was 36 when I took my daughter to school this am. I guess it could be worse - there could be 24 inches of snow accompanying that 36 degree weather.
What was this post aobut the 15th sailing not being able to dock? I missed it.
Where are those packing fairies when you need them?

hey guys I read in a thread somewhere about putting a matte in with your pillow cases for the characters to sign. Here's the question - what size are most of the pictures that you buy at shutters? I never use mattes - so what size matte do you use for what size picture?
lalaclut

I'm not sure of the photos at Shutters, but I read to buy an 8x10 matte for a 5x7 picture.

Bowlingarieil- It was not you it is another person who is taking her daughter under the premis that her DH has a doctors appt and they will not be back in time to get her off the bus. I was wondering if she was still keeping the seceret.
As for my telling DH. I have no intentions of telling him until we get to the ship or he realized we are headed there. I figure he will think we are going to WDW and I am going to let him think that.
The photos at shutters are 5x7 or 8x10.
I need help from the tag fairey myself.

faireygod mother ,
Looks like you like Disney as much as my family and I do .
Maybe we should meet for hot Cocoa while we sail on our Curise this week.
You sound like a lot of fun, I have a sister that thinks like you . We have a good time together.

I was reading that someone was having trouble finding a room - something about a launch? I just looked on the KSC site and the next rocket launch isn't til March. hhmmm...........my folks live in Cocoa Beach and I know that alot of the hotels got hit hard from the Hurricanes.
Our weather guy said that it is supposed to warm up quite a bit by the end of the week. Yipee

It has been a long an busy day as I am sure you all can relate too, but we are all ready to leave and in a state of "wonder" thinking we will be on this beautiful ship in 2 days!!!!
Hope all is going well for everyone out there! Pixie dust for safe travels!:)

I do believe in Fairies, I do believe in Fairies.!!!
I am having the week from hell (I own a bowling center in FL) - employee problems, machines breaking, and last nite one of my bowlers had a heart attack and our main water line broke!
I was seriously thinking of canceling tomorrow's cruise.
I come in today - and the water line was fixed. The bowler is going to be ok. (She's so sweet, 75, the gramotherly type) and I log on to see if the reservation system is working and SURPRISE!!! It is...............
I am main seating with my brother (as of Mon am I was still waitlisted on 2nd) and my cabin was moved AGAIN - I am now in 8594. A Cat 4 family room!

BowlingAriel: Sorry to hear that your week has been so bad...you need this cruise! That is super about your upgrade, etc. Mine still says the same...although I am not complaining...got a great rate with the FL resident and a verandah!! I was wondering why your name had bowling in it and now I know! We are big bowlers..kids and all...my brother even owns a bowling pro shop. Our center recently has had it's problems...major roof & water damage during the hurricane..so we are over at one of their other centers...and now on Friday night it caught fire! Who knows when we will ever bowl there again!! Well gotta finish packing...I need the fairies! :wizard:

Am I the first one home? Of course, I don't live very far. Sorry to those of you who have to go back to ice & snow! So how was your cruise? Ours was great! Although, I can agree with those that say 3 nights is just too short! ::yes:: Did everyone with surprises pull them off? Did anyone go to the meet? See the Magic? I wanted to..but with that crazy wind, etc that we had..I never made it.
lalaclut: My DS said that he saw your DD in the lab and I also believe that we ran into her and your husband on an elevator! Sorry we missed you!
mariatia2: It was great meeting you and your DH..and bumping into you several times! Wasn't Palo great? My DH wanted to go back each night! :cloud9: MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!
Was anyone upset with anything on their cruise? The one thing we were disappointed in was that they discontinued the CMs trading pins due to the flu issue. :sad2: I can understand the reason why but they should have announced it sooner. My DSs were ready with their pins! But they were nice enough to give them each an arcade card so that helped a little.

We made it back safely after a 90 minute delay. I am sorry to be home. We did not take our pins as this was a surprise for my DH. Yes it came off very well and he is looking forward to doing this again. I thought we had missed the pin trading. We also did not take our smaller ones this time. I guess when some poeple do not understand sanitary conditions we will all suffer. I was pleased to see the wipes everywhere. Including near the computers. I have seen people sneezing and not using them though. YUKKKKK!
Hopefully on our next cruise pin trading will come back. We had a WONDERFUL Time. Nice warm weather and good food. We tried to see the Magic but it was not where we though it would be. Yes the wind was there but it was not stopping us.

We had a wonderful tim as well. I agree it was to short, but it made for a perfect long weekend. My Dh had no idea until we got to the port and I pointed to the ship. He was busy watching a movie in the limo.
We tried to see the Magic, but no luck. Glad you made it back safely.
I was not as pleased with the photos at shutters this time or having Pirate nite when we were in animators for dinner.
If I had to do it all over again, I would do it the same.

How did everyone's door decorations turn out? I really enjoyed ours...especially since we were close to the elevators..everyone kept making comments..DSs got a kick out of that. I saw 2 other ones on my rounds....the Princess one..which I know was mentioned here and then there was a Grandpa's birthday not too far from us.

We had one on our door it was for DH birthday and said birthday surprise. We had figment and Pooh on it. I only saw ours and my brothers and my sisters while on the curise. I heard about the princess one but did not have the chance to look at it.
If anyone gets the decorations package word to the wise eat the cake the first night. DH said it was not that great on the 2nd night.
DH came home from work tonight and was telling all his co-workers what a great time we had. A few are asking how we did it and wanting to go now too. I guess my Sis and I did a great job for the Birthday surprise.
