alamo - new procedures

Called Alamo today to pay for my hire car and they advised me that due to a new computer system they can no longer take pre payment in the UK and you have to pay at the airport when you pick up the car!! Has anyone else experienced this, and if so did you have any problems?

Well I booked through Yes car hire and they use Alamo - I am allowed to prepay that way so not sure why you can't prepay directly with Alamo....sorry!
