We will be at WDW 12/3-12/12. Have made reservations for V and A one night and plan on the following restaurants the other nights:

Le Cellier
Akershus
Boma
Artist Point
Spoodles
Teppanyaki

Do I need to worry about making PS plans now or, since its a low-crowd time of year, can we "fly by the seat of our pants" and make the PSings the during the trip/the morning of the planned dinner?

i would definitely make PS for all of those restaurants. even though that is considered a "slow" period, it can be quite difficult to get the time/day for those restaurants. even w/a PS we have had to wait to teppanyki many times. same w/le cellier. if your plans are flexible enough then you might be able to make PS for the remainder of the list. but i would definitely make PS now for lecellier and teppanyki. good luck!

I would make a few PSs. We were there Dec.5-13 last year. On many nights San Angel, LeCellier and Teppanyaki were booked and weren't taking anymore guests.

I like to eat around the same time every evening because we have young children. Making PSs ahead of time gives us the times that we need for dinner.

You don't have to book all of your meals but if you know for sure where you will be on a certain night, I would definately go ahead and book.

I would. Last year when we were there the beginning of Dec we tried to get into Sci Fi with no ps and they werent taking any walk ins. Better to be on the safe side.

I would suggest you make PS for all the places you really want to eat at during your stay.

We stayed at WDW GF during this time period and there are some days you will notice a crowd...and I watched individuals having issues getting a table without having PS before they arrrived at WDW.

This year I don't think it will be a "slow period" due to the various groups and families that rescheduling their vacations as a result of the various hurricanes hitting Florida this year.

The Epcot resteraunts could all have a larger-than-usual volume of reservations because people are booking them with the Candlelight processional dinner package, so I'd definitely book those. If you really want the others, and want to eat at a popular time, it's best to book them. You can always make adjustments or cancel later.

There is also a large Disney Gathering during that time period that will have an impact on PS's.
