I remember last year DS wanting a few of them. This year is a more budget minded trip so anyone know what kinds they sell and prices? I would love to buy them before hand to save the money but want to be prepared if I have to buy them there. I still have Tink's wand in working order from last year and that is surprising! Im realizing I didn;t budget much for souvenirs and stuff so I need to revise! I figure the grandparents will gve the kids spending money too.

thnaks!

I bought a bunch of glow necklaces and bracelets for my DD4 at the dollar store and some at our local job lot. Each were $1.00.

As far as souveniers, I have been picking up little Disney things any time I see something on sale or clearance. Right now they are packed away, out of sight. Each night were are at Disney, "Tinkerbell" is going to leave my DD one gift. It is a fun way to add a little magic to our vacation. But more importantly, it is saving me a ton of money. By getting a gift in the a.m., my DD will be fine not buying things in the shops. Some of the things I found were puzzles, hair clips, a wallet, a bathingsuit....all Disney things.

We'll see how it goes!

We usually just wait and let DD buy one at the park. Getting a glow necklace while the other kids were buying the neat spinners wasn't a treat for her. It's fun to let them pick something out at each trip.

I'm not sure what age/gender your kids are, but our DD3 is heavy into the princesses. We found a wand-like glow stick that has a star on top and an on-off switch at our local Kmart for $2.50. The wand glows and changes colors.

I love that it looks like a magic wand, and I can replace the batteries instead of just having to toss it at the end of the night.

Hope this helps!

I am doing this too for my ds-5 except it will be little matchboxes that tink "drove" into our cabin with at night when he was sleeping and left on his bed then flew away back to the castle before he woke up! I am hoping to time this the night of wishes so that he can see Tink fly out of the castle and then when we go back to our cabin there will be the surprise on his bed waiting for him! He is matchbox obsessed so I hope that I can find little cars while in Disney too! I love this kind of stuff! Its sooo fun! :)

Check your local dollar stores or 99 cents stores. I found greena nd blue battery powered glow sticks. My DD is in heaven with them because they are more than 1 use sticks. We have now reused them all 4 trips this yer to WDW and during a few late night drives and power outages (Hurricane Frances) Probably the best find at the dollar store in my life . I did not even know they made these before.

Also, they have little necklaces with a disney type plastic medallian that lights up. DD has sleeping beauty and the princesses. We got them at the discount souvenier store next to theI-hop right outside the downtown disney entrance (Cant remember the name of the street sory if I think of it I willlet youknow) It is the street where there is the big Walt Disney world signs with Mickey. By Pizzaria UNO and crossroads.

Last year we bought DS a spinning lightup Buzz Lightyear for $13.25 at MGM. I saw one similiar at the Disney Store for less. I placed new batteries in him, and he is packed to go pack to WDW!!
