Traffic on 192

Traffic on 192 was horrible! Be careful if you are going doon. There is alot of construction!. The worst times I saw were 11 am-1pm and 10pm-11pm. (All of this Disney traffic.) I did not have too much of a problem because we always went to the parks as soon as they opened.
However, the day before we left, we did not do a park. I got stuck for an hour trying to go less than 2 miles!

There really is only construction west of I-4 and it is horrable. The construction from the past couple years east of I-4 is pretty much done...they are planting trees and landscaping now and it really looks nice. Still a lot of traffic as is the norm.

Is it still bad going towards Westgate and OLCC? In April, we made sure we left early in the morning to head for the parks - it was a zoo going from Orange Lake to WDW.

I've posted this a couple of times on the Orlando board--maybe I better do it here too.


If staying WEST on Orlo Bronson (Area where Westgate Villas & Towers, Splendid China, High Point Resort are) turn onto SHERBERTH road. This will lead you right onto WDW property near the Animal Kingdom. If you are staying at Westgate just cross over 192 at the light when you exit Westgate. If coming down 192 from around the Splendid China area then it's a LEFT turn. From around the High Point resort it will be a right turn.

Anyway, turn onto SHERBERTH and follow it to the first light. Turn RIGHT. You are now in front of the Animal Kingdom and on a main road able to access any part of WDW by following the signs.
