Haunted Mansion Opening Weekend

Okay, I am planning to go to DL the weekend that the Haunted Mansion opens. I am trying to figure out which is the best day to go (i.e. the least busy day) Friday, Sat, or Sun. Obviously Sat has the best hours and the most stuff going on in the park, but I fear it may be out of control busy. I have read everywhere that Sat. is always a busy day at DL no matter when you go, but with the haunted mansion I'm afraid it may be crazy and think this might be a good day for DCA. any opinions, advice?? The bad news is, all of those days are going to be crazy. Yes, the Haunted Mansion opening is going to increase crowds, but Friday is probably still going to be your best bet. Saturday and Sunday are not only going to have the normal Saturday and Sunday crowds, but also a ton of people there for the Gay Days.

BTW, I've been there for the HM Holiday before, and while it's more crowded than the first part of the week is, I think that most of the people are standing in line for the HM. Tip: get a fastpass, and get it EARLY. If you think you want to ride more than once, RUN don't walk to get your next fastpass.

Sorry to tell you this, but they stopped fastpass for the Haunted Mansion.

But from what I've heard it will be reinstated for the Holiday version of HM as that's very popular.

When does it open in the holiday mode?

I think the very end of Sept. I know it will be going throughout Oct-the beginning of Jan.

Haunted Mansion Holiday will open Friday, Oct. 1 this year.
