Buy AP and make reserv same day?

Ok - I plan to buy an annual pass to get better rates at the GC on the off season. Can I buy the annual pass and make my hotel reservation on the same day? Or do I have to purchase the pass, wait for it to arrive and then call for ressies? Do the deals change on a daily basis - or is the room rate going to be about the same during the off season (ie should I keep checking for deals before I commit - or is it going to be about the same discount pretty consistently?) Thanks for your help!!

Most of the time, we've been asked to show our Annual Pass upon check in not when we are making the reservations.

Do you actually need to have your pass in hand to check out the specials on the website - or do you not even go into the website - just call...?

you will need your code on the ap (it's on the temp pass as well) to enter the website to see the specials. I have always called reservations to book my room.

When you order a pass online or via telephone you dont get the actual pass. You'll get a "admission card" to the park to get your real plastic with photo ID card.

The number I believe is the same though
