View Full Version : Is this a decent car rental rate??

I've never rented a car in my life...and was shocked at how expensive the first few quotes I got were!
We need a Mini-Van b/c we have seven people. I tried all the car rental codes/coupon in my Costco travel book and they seemed to do nothing to the price (most didn't apply to anything over mid-size) or my number of days was not quite right. Using the companies that have desks right in the airport, I was getting base quotes at over $400 for 5 full days of rental.
Finally I used a code from Mousesavers and got a National Care Rental Mini-van for 5 days at $235 (plus of course those hideous taxes and fees!)
Is this decent or should I invest more time???
Also, I signed up for the the "Quick" service where you supposedly just walk out to the garage, pick a mini-van and drive to the exit. Is this for real and does it work that smoothly??? We will be arriving at almost 10pm so I want to get going to the hotel as fast as possible!
Thanks
Jill

Jill,

If you can post your dates and times, the experts here can better help you. Also, you might check the transporation board as well.
