I know the Orlando Area can't take much more of these
hurricanes.
To all of you that are down in Florida our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I live 8 miles NW of Orlando and all things considered it was not too bad. Now I am worried about "Ivan the Terrible."

I'm tired of hurricanes. Can we try something else for a while? Please?

Florida can not take another storm this close in time. Frances was so large that we went got it on the West Coast of Florida the East Coast was still getting the wind and the rain. It was amazing.

It's nice to know those of us in Florida have friends else where...
If we don't dry out soon, it's gonna be "Mickey's Very Soggy Halloween Party" or worse: "Mickey's Very Soggy Christmas Party"!

Looks like all of us living here in Florida have a new, possibly more dangerous storm, Ivan, coming our way. It is going to be tough to bear another big storm. The infrastructure has not yet recovered from the last two hits. There are areas that still do not have power, and the heat and humidity here this time of year is unbearable.... God help us.:(

We were very close to the eye on the East Coast and our area suffered some pretty severe damage in places (though we managed to make it out with mininmal cosmetic damages mostly). We are hoping that Ivan doesn't decide to do something funky and feel for our Floridian neighbors in the panhandle that might get it. As was said, Florida can't take another hurricane. Relief efforts are already stretched very thin.
